I’ve always loved the way Tony calls the events because he really discusses the reasons why tricks may be difficult or the combination of tricks back to back and setting up for another trick and the reasons behind it and why it may or may not be difficult. I just love it because he really gets into the details and makes it more entertaining and educational.

I just hope more legends of the sports take it upon themselves to organize events, rather than leaving it to Xgames or the Olympics.

Probably one of the most entertaining vert contests I’ve seen. This was awesome.

This is fr one of the best skating contests ive seen in recent memory. No sponsor bs for the most part, no annoying take-away interviews, killer commentary, and rad lines not composed of just nonstop spins. Love all the creative and old school tricks. LEVELS TO THIS SHIT!

I really loved this event, especially the fact that no one really cares about the competition, people just try to do gnarly tricks, even after time is over, cause that's what they came for. Looks like a big family having fun together.

Was waiting on reef to bust a giant tweeked out frontside ollie. It's great to see a kid with so many rad tricks. Watching some dude go straight back and forth spinning pirouettes gets old. These guys all had some cool lines.

Hey Tony !!! shut up and skate...you know you'll win. But seriously I love you as a commentator they should have you as a judge and commentator on every single vert or for that matter any single competition in skateboarding. I hate announcers and contest callers who have not skated.

Sometimes the announcers say the most ridiculous shit that doesn't make sense lol shout out to the announcers that get caught up saying something irrelevant lol

Don't take this the wrong way but why does the event use "Tony Hawk" in the name, is Tony the sponsor? How about just "Vert Alert" wouldn't that be acceptable....

In no way is this meant as a sleight against other wonderful recorded competitions in extreme sports (I love all of them anyway), but this one in particular is so refreshing, in that it solely concentrates on the competition, and there is a dynamic feel to the entire thing without all the advertising, etc.
