RIP Tony. You are such an inspiration to entrepreneurs! After watching this interview I just wanted to say Tony you are such a patient and well manner and kind human being. With the interviewer’s constant twist and turns, interruptions, really inappropriate sarcasm, you didn’t even raise your voice a little bit. Instead you kept on talking about getting more innovative, being more kind, getting more self organised and improve as a city or mankind as a whole, no agenda for you or your organisation. Inspirational. Sending all the love to your family, rest in peace Tony, what a well lived life for you and for us all.

I watched this only because I love and admire Tony. It wasn't easy tho, as she is disturbingly arrogant and disrespectful. She must be very insecure and miserable to behave like that.

I bet Tony came here thinking he was going to take part in a serious interview.

Tony is emotionless and he handled these questions so well. she is just awful.

Tony Hsieh was such an inspiration to many of us in Las Vegas. He encouraged people to look at life and business differently. His presence in Las Vegas has been nothing short of transformative. He will be missed. Rest in Paradise, Tony

Tony is brilliant the interviewer needs to listen not look for humour. I get a sense she is more concerned the audience remember her than the person being interviewed.

This woman has no idea how to interview! She holds such an attitude and self-righteousness... come on.. how she gets this job is beyond me

Kara is so rude it's hard to even watch this. I was hoping he would put her in her place.

Kara Swisher is a terrible interview. Constantly taking energy out of the interview with her immature remarks.

I really appreciate Tony for being polite.

I've kept myself from judging too quickly watching all of these interviews. But, I now feel comfortable saying that these Recode interviewers are horrible at their job. They're asking a lot of the same questions we've already heard answers to. They ignore the important facts and make rude remarks that just interrupt the interviewers. They ask broad questions that provoke thought from the people they interview and then finish their sentences fro them before they answer. I just don't get what their real goal is. If they don't have respect for the people they're brining in to interview - why even bring them in? I'm done giving them more views.

Damn this woman is an energy vampire. Good lord it's disturbing. I am surprised the man kept his cool knowing he's wasting his time speaking to her when he could be making millions.

just watched this.. wow this Lady is blowing my mind. I think she is trying to be funny but is way off.. interrupting, being rude.. asking two questions at once that are very different questions. Tony.. good work on tolerating her.. wow!!

Tony's ethic and belief in a different way of doing things was so threatening to some people, it almost makes you wonder if his death was really an accident. RIP Tony, you were one of the good ones.

A very sarcastic interviewer maybe she thinks it makes her sound a little smarter than the person she is interviewing.

tony was cool. love his philosophy of a self-sustaining and flexibile organaziation. His vision is for the future generations not his own selfish desires. interviewer was just plain rude and distracting. thumbs down for the video for that reason.

Holacracy is such an interesting concept, letting it live or encouraging it is almost like some sort of metahedging on Amazons part. I'd be very interested to see what other structures we take for granted could be tweaked. That said, the journalism was distressing. Sure you have a punchy, whimsical brand. You may build a reputation and following, but who wants to feel like the stooge in a double act? How many people are you going to turn off from your network who came here for Tony Hsieh? Even her microphone was slightly louder 🤢 Effective journalism should be like framing a picture or applying a set of optics to some novel or interesting idea. Not whatever that was.

Who is this Kara? Her tact is so far off that she has no business interviewing people!!!

I feel bad for her kids.

This teaches me a few things: 1. People listen to the leader 2. He had a great idea and wanted to involve the entire team 3. The culture didn’t fit with Amazon 4. He wasn’t needed anymore to sell shoes or “increase conversion “ over the internet 5. He was pushed out 6. The culture changed and Zappos is really a part of Amazon now 7. He parties for a while celebrating his wealth and fame 8. He commits suicide

He was truly genius! I love him.

So awkward interview. That woman is a no good self centered baby boomer who thinks she knows better and her wisdom is so superb. This guy, a billionaire who btw is not a boy but a man, was so respectful to this undeserving person. He stayed focused and professional... but she didn’t received the memo....

I had to rewind this clip to the beginning just so I could get the name of this painful interviewer. Like really, put some respect in your sentence sitting across from a billionaire. Like who tf are you?! I don’t know which is more agonizing... her jokes are the audience laughing at it.

Kara Swisher is a really rude and silly interviewer... her presence dramatically reduces the watch-ability of interviews even if you really like the people being interviewed.

I understand she wasn’t the best interviewer, but please maintain a sense of human decency. She’s still a person and likely saw these comments. There is no reason to be that harsh on her character aside from her ability to run an interview. If you haven’t done it yourself, have empathy and be kind.

I don't like her style nor do I like her. SURELY, Tony had a plan as to why he would even agree to be interviewed by this host. She revealed nothing and gave nothing except a headache to all watching. She needs to be packing boxes in a warehose, not in public, ever!
