...my personal experience with Tony Tetuila was quite impressive back in those days in naija...I met him at the weekly club gig at national stadium, introduced myself and told him I was into clothings, Tony was gracious enough to go with me to my car to check some of my stuff, and he immediately made orders, I ended up customising wears for his dancers at his "Freedom Soldier" album launch in Ikeja...straight up cool guy 😎
You no need any body to tell you say na the truth you hear like this. See how relaxed and fresh Tony Tetuila is abeg. Young rich and fresh so humble baba no broke. Celebrate gracee abeg.
From this interview, I can categorically say that Tony and his mum were the main founders and promoters of these so-called Nigeria music stars all the way from Idris,TUFACE and others. Look at how humble he has been.
@@OneyOnye-dy4pt Eddy is a broken man. His life crumbled when he got divorced from his wife Kenny Saint Brown. Romour had it that he was the problem in the marriage. It was a messy divorce. He never recovered from it. Men, some of you do not know that your success is tied to your wives, cherish you wives. Be good husbands. The Bible says the prayers of a man who does not honor his wife will be hindered. This scripture says it all.
Sapa no catch Tetuila. Why him go cry? If sapa hold you and dem no gree pay you, you no go cry? ... meanwhile Eddy spoke so condescendingly about Tony... Person wey sponsor song wey una take blow oo... Thank God he was vindicted over time
Very humble guy 👦 2008 we board a flight ✈️ together sitting beside each other, took a picture together from London to Lagos. Very humble to the cure 👍
Listening to this man, Tony Tetuila, I can say as follows: He's a very humble person though he comes from wealth. He comes along as as a quiet and peaceful guy. He didn't hesitate to pick up his wife's call, in the middle of an interview with Freeze.
Honestly, it is very rare to come across people like Tony who comes from a well to do family and is still able to maintain that humility. Bros just believe God, stay humble and dey roll dice dey go.
Hello Daddy Freeze, I coulnt be more surprised with the way you are interviewing Tony Tetuilla sir. It shows you already have a predetermined mentality on the matter and just trying to cash out with raising the balls of controversy. This is not the best for an Elderly man sir. I'm sorry i'm saying this as "Ko gba Enu mi" but i feel i need to point this out. At about 17:25, you made an insinuation without Tony saying it "Remedies, like say you people are his boys....". Subhanallah wabi hamdhi!! Fear retribution sire. From Eedris story, he explained how the name came about sir. More or less i would say it was the Radio house that gave them that name not even Eedris himself hearing the talks from all sides. I believe it is wrong to influence the conclusions of your viewers by making premature and biased conclusions. I must say that in this matter, the honest bunch interviewers were better than you at this sir. At about 36:22, Tony Tetuilla hit a real line saying "If you are the pioneer, it should not come out from your mouth" That is a very salient point one i really think Eedris should be sorry about. Just like in my previous comments on the matter, I am completely against riding on the fact of being predecessors. There is no greatness in making demands and basically i feel this is not so in this case because these people Eddy Remedy, Eedris Abdulkareem so far was expecting recognition, fame, Money and other benefits for their doings in the Industry. Clearly a total flaw to the true nature of sacrifice. At about 41:35, Daddy Freeze sir, you made another condescending inference "Eddy must have been influenced by Eedris". You are making an inference on something you do not know. I do not know sire but i am quite sure Seun Kuti would be very disappointed with your method of judgement. I must say that i had to unsubscribe from your channel because i don't want to be associated with people who do these things. I could say with humility that you could never make a good judge. Prejudice influences so much of what you say sir and i would advice you work on that aspect as you would one day be a very old man and may be called by we young ones to mediate in issues. In conclusion, In my opinion, Tony Tetuilla is more of a honest man than any of them. It was all a subject of leadership and overshadowing the other person, a fact still pillaging the industry and Nigeria as a whole today. True friendship and brotherhood is one of truth, love and sacrifice. No amount of money can crush it's rock. It's a pity that in the society of today, the god we worship is money and fame and that is why issues like this keep on coming up.. If we do away with our insatiable lust for money, fame and all other temporal pleasures of life, the world would become an even better place to live. If we spread true love not those shared at parties, bars or gatherings, our world would shine brighter. This saga is more of a teaching of how Money could destroy things, Relationships, Family and even Friendships. Let us try to live a better and happy life free of the influence of money and material things. Good Morning Nigeria.
God bless you for that knowledge weighed in there. As an anchor like DF, he has already pinched his tent and had always shown to be a friend of the moment for the guest on his show at that time. This is why he needs to change his modus operandi. he displays sentiments and emotions that gives away his opinion or sides to his viewers. He needs to be an umpire instead as the judge. Thank you for that sense of judgment you weighed in. I see Tony more to be the truest of them all. Eddy seem to tag along withEeedris but regretted it later while Idris is more of an opportunist from the stories we heard from these three people involved.
Don’t mind the old man behaving like kid, what is he going to benefit by taking sides, instead of you to just listen and allow him express his own side of the story
Thanks and God bless. You covered all my observations and concerns as well. I hope DF reads these comments. I would also like to add that DF should allow his guest to completely finish expressing their thought before interrupting. Best wishes.
If you see person wey get integrity, you go know. They don't brag, they don't make noise, they are humble and dem get money. its not difficult to get the truth from them, there's absolutely nothing to loose 💯 Thanks for speaking up Boss, i grew up listening to You..... it would be great to see a collab with Burnaboy🔥🔥🔥#Anticipating
This simply means Eddie is right. Shakomo is Eddie's song originally. He brought in Eadris to rap for his song and Eadris who met Tony earlier on had taken Tony's money to galivant and spend as Toney was desperate for success. Eddie became an escape route for Eadris and that is why he came back to introduce Toney to Eddie who had no idea that money was given to Eadris. Here, Toney has confirmed what Eddie said earlier on. Eadris was the broker between Tony and Eddie. So it was like "Toney come e get person wey I go like introduce you to or come make we go somewhere or oya come make we go record song I don book studio". Rather than put Eddie in the know what he did was " Eddie abeg wait for me for so so place I dey come" only for Eddie to see that Eadris came with a 3rd party he had no clue about. Tony stop that talk right there. Your family gave Eadris money, not the Remedies. You were lucky that Eadris found Eddie otherwise your 60k for don enter voicemail.
When I saw Daddy Showkey, Eddy and Tony singing "ogun o ranmi", I knew something was wrong. Daddy Freeze, you are not being neutral in this at all, you have inherited this beef by putting yourself as a "Journalist" but you clearly know you have ulterior motives, them you'll come to preach on Sundays, you are not a child of God cos you are clearly not a peace maker.
His was more detailed with utmost precision. It is astonishing that Tetuila can recall the dates, time, and exact amount of money paid and given. He also didn't conceal the fact that he was naive and didn't know anything about music. His side is believable.
@@mideandreconsult8790exactly. This is what happens when one is in the receiving hand of pain. Especially when you have been betrayed You tend to recall every little detail. Am like that too.
I have met Tony, and I can vouch that this guys is a cool soul, no bad energy, he came to Adams Tutorial coaching center in Oshodi, and Kennedy and D1 also came, I was interviewed on that day, and was asked some great questions, Tony is so calm and humble.
Haha! Reminds me of the story of Tortoise and the birds going up to the heavens for a feast - Tortoise said my name is "all of you". Eeedris, tortoise vibes
Seyi Shodimu I believe came before Remedies. He came with a single before Love me Jeje, "Seyi wa ba mi jo, a ee, ayo.." something like that. And I think that was 96.
Nice one i can remembered when eddy came to our house in lagos gowan estate to pass the night that was 2016 or so cos my dad was a raggae musician he brought Eddy to his show Same as late majek fashek and co
Big shoutout to Tony T. i still follow him this day on instagram, so much love from this side. I love his composure, his poise and charisma. Easy spoken man. Let's just put behind all these beef behind and move on
@@orgmatter wrong boss. The original tune was by Michael Jackson's Liberian girl released in 1989 under MJ' Bad album. MC lyte and 2Pac Shakur sampled same song before Remedies did. U may not have known cos I mean it was 1989 song
They're discussing hip hop music and those who laid the foundation, and not music in general else what happened to Fela, King Sunny Ade, Olisa Osabede, Peacock Bank, Bongos Ekwe, Mike Okri etc. In truth, Junior and Pretty started the legacy but Eedris and his group blew it.
This is how to tell a story! Cool, calmed and calculated! Take away from his story, "shakomo" blew cos of Tony mama prayer for them before dropping the 60k then! Mother's prayer made it so easy for them to blow!
I actually enjoyed watching the conversation and I also listened to that of eddy from beginning to end even though there might be so lies and exaggerations here and there still you can tell Idris is the super villain in the entire narrative 😂😂😂😂
This interview is one of the best I've seen this year, bro speaking truth and he's been real from day 1. I could remember you brought these people down to Bariga to live around us. God bless you always King 👑TT💯💐🙏🏾
Oh, noooo... now all that story about sleeping under the bridge for 9 months plus the lecturer story idris told is totally questionable... i almost believed him.. if he lied about 10 million, then all his stories could be lies
@@ObnfrostHe lied more than half of that interview. He said Remedies got paid 20 million naira for the Rothmas shows in the late 90s...20 million naira in 1998?? Lol! I knew he was lying once I hard that part. Tony said they only got paid 350k
This is history class with facts. I was privileged to play a key role on the St Eve and Trace Urban Summer jam show in 2012. Rick Ross was the headliner. The industry is filled with lots of self-interests and empty egos. God bless Sir Freeze and OG Tony for your roles back then and now. May God bless the soul of Tony Mama(First Hip-Hop group album Producer) and all those who really fought for and are still fighting for the industry. The sky is big enough for everyone to fly and thrive. #LoveWinsAlways❤
First and foremost big shout to Mr Tony big bros ,🙌🏾 your wonderful person !!RESPECT!!❤ Sir . To my opinion ldris arrogance and greedy behavior caused him his own carrier. Blackface and daddy showkey🗝️ are GREAT SOUL, what i learn is that no matter where you find yourself be humble and peaceful theirs spiritual grace that comes with it.Thanks daddy freeze you're Truth seeker God bless you sir 🙏🏾 ❤️
Daddy Freeze i believe say Eedris Abdulkareem do you something those days wey no let you talk, perhaps maybe E no give you some opportunity wey you expect from am. I can see that you can't even hide your hatred for him, please tell us what has Eedris Abdulkareem done to you?
From Tony's narrative, it was clear that Shakomo was written before Tony came into the picture and Eddy confirms that it was written by him long time before then, when he was in school, so Eedris lied about ownership of the sound. Again, Tony actually gave Eedris 60k but that money was not used for the sponsorship of the song production as Eddy said he used his money for the studio stuff and only got to know about the money when there was beef among them. So Eedris story is not truthful, even as Tony thought his mother sponsored the group but the money ended up at Eedris' pocket. I know Daddy Freeze has some issues with Edris but the truth is naked. Tony really does not want to spill out much, he is a good man.
In this saga , there is something they've forgotten. And that is the fact that they can't remember everything verbatim. There's need to forget things or misplaced of things or not placing it in right perspective. So let's know we are human being.
E don call Idris for interview the guy decline go meet Nedu wazobia na dey vex... That Idris na criminal...I knew was liar...the way his was sugarcoating his words as masterpiece of the drama...Idris he called tony and told him to start writing his song with the plantation boyz
The same thing that happened to edris and eddy happened to blackface.u might b more talented a better song writer but might not come out as the best..and when that happens bitterness come to play..
Don’t mind freeze, na gossiper, so is intrested in the gossip than truth. He follow eddy dey bad mouth Eedris, Eedris never said anything bad about eddy. Infact he gave Eddy credits and spoke about how they start and made money as brothers Freeze has always hate Eedris, I remember what he said on cool fm about Eedris 2012, when he was interviewing d’banj Forget freeze, no be better person, him matter full industry too
If una think say freeze care about any truth or the industry, then una no dey pay attention😃😃He just wan join the wave of that Eedris viral interview, all na out of jealousy of Nedu podcast.....Bcos e shock am how that interview take blow 😃😃he dey wish say na hin do that interview.....Since then Baba dey restless.....For Only one interview hin wan do like 10 interviews 😃😃😃Daddy showkey,Eddy montana Tony tetuila and the rest still none of it don blow 🤣🤣
You know having listen to stories from Montana and Tetuila, it is glaring Eedris actually formed the group. He knew tetuila and Montana separately and brought them altogether. However they all have different values they added to that group.
Formed abi hijack ? From the story eddy had the song and brought edris to rap and edris brought Tony because he owe Tony to act since he’s already received money from Tony and promised the mom he’s taking his son to sing music so edris was a thief
You didn't hear when Tony said Eedris rushed to name the group against their own consent and it ended in a fight between him and Eddy? Eedris brought in Tony but he Eedris was brought in by Eddy.
@@fluxnekta I get your point but the reason I said he formed the group is because he was the mutual friend/associate to both Eddie and Tony. He brought them together and took them to the studio even though Tony had the money and Eddie had the music.
@@Brightdondams they asked the group what their name is and being the forefront of the group he gave the producer/ait guys remedy (without the consents of the two other associates of his) I get. If I met two different guys who haven’t met before and I brought them all together, it would be fair to say I brought(form) them together right ?
@@Brightdondams I’m not speaking for any of them but as an unbiased person, if Eddie indeed formed the group, Eedris wouldn’t have got the temerity to bring someone else into the group. I have a feeling he has this ego, this bossy attitude making people feel he run the show
.... why you dey ask me that question, where I dey go? I dey come! we cue that thing, loop am till the loop stick spoil, house parties were lit! Shout out to all the DJ who breathe life in to the Genre Afrobeat
I can't wait to see the remix because many years ago when tetula drop my car tinubu was lagos state governor and now the said man is now our president so my guy abeg drop the remix biko because this will make thing happen well again remember back then after releasing the song tinubu was happy as a governor and everything was going too well abeg do am again this time oo him bele go sweet and our country go swift back again ❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Met Tony a couple of years ago at Murphy's plaza and we sat together for most of the night...he was just too humble and always had that smile on his face, he a cool dude abeg.
I have been to Mama TetuilaHouse before,I have pix i took back then....Tony was saying the truth about how accomodating their house was.His Mum ,their house was open for all.
I know Tony when he was using GOLF 2 and I can tell you this guy is naturally calm and humble. They all come to my studio, Lofals Studios in Babajide bus stop in Shitta back in 1997. I once paid for a boot in Talk2Me boutique in Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, I was told Tony was interested in the boot but I told the owner nothing must happen to my boot. Tony told the owner he will let go and this was when my admiration for him doubled. The three of them need to bury the hatchet. Eedris is also a very nice guy and so is Eddy.
