I had this procedure done on Friday and it was not like this!! They stick a needle up your nostrils to numb it and I have never experienced pain like that ever in my life. This is not to scare anyone (even though it sounds scary) but do not expect anything from this video like I did. I wish I was put out for it!! My nose bled for an entire hour afterwards and I’m still very sore. They act like this procedure is nothing and it needs to stop
@LoverofSunflowernBees

Exactly and it’s still horrible and I my nose is worse tonight! And the needles were extremely painful I came out of the chair I was screaming and crying and I didn’t even do my other nostril! So far it’s not been worth it ? They don’t show the needle going up each side of his nostrils and that cause they will scare you he didn’t just get the cotton in his nose oh and I got needles injected inside my upper lip too!

Same. But the pain was less concerning than the nosebleed the first injection caused which didn’t completely stop for 12 hours.

I had Rhinaer done 2 weeks ago. The numbing shots are not bad at all, but I also had the other numbing stuff stuck in my nasal cavities. Maybe uncomfortable, partly because it’s right in your face, but I experienced almost no pain. It’s worth it anyways, you wouldn’t want to feel the actual pain.

If I had not been struggling to breathe sleeping, doing martial arts classes, and having to wear a mask with Covid times..... I wouldn’t have put up with the burning pain. I really hope that it worked and I don’t have to pursue surgical treatment.

Had the procedure today, those shots in your nose are sooooooo painful. My nose is swollen huge and I cannot breathe at all out of it and trying to irrigate but it won’t. No pain pills either and the pressure from the blockage is driving me crazy. Not sure how I am expected to sleep like this. No care sheet for at home and feeling terrible. So far I regret doing this. I had this done yesterday, and what you don't get told is that sure, immediately after the procedure you can breath like a champ, but then by the end of the day your face will swell up, especially your nose, and you'll have insane sinus pressure and stuffiness, post nasal, the whole 9. You'll start to feel the burn and pain as the anesthesia wears off and will feel like someone slammed a sledge hammer right into your nose. By day 2 it's even worse. The part that I don't see much talk about is the fact that the stuffiness and swelling is going to last for a while, up to a month or two. Not looking forward to that. I get anxiety as is when I can't breath through my nose, especially since I have asthma. Maybe this is just my experience and everyone is different but I'm def regretting this. Probably didn't help that my doc appeared to do a little extra by cracking and crunching some bone, intentionally. He warned me he was going to crunch and crack bone as he was doing it. Don't even think that's a part of the vivaer procedure as I've yet to find other similar experiences.

Been about 6 months now and wanted to give a quick update. Breathing doesn't seem any better than before the procedure, just can't tell. I have a lot of sinus inflammation, so maybe this procedure wasn't even for me to begin with and was just a money grab for the doc. I'm still constantly having to use nasal saline to open up my sinuses to breath a little better. All in all, I don't think it was worth it and wouldn't put myself through it again.

The simple theory behind the ENT (post-turbinectomy syndrome aka empty nose sdr, ENT): air flow sensors are in the turbinate and in nasal mucosa, random distribution, the wire from the sensor goes to the pons and from there it goes to the conscious brain. You cut the sensor = no impulse regarding the air flow goes to the brain which is perceived as suffocation although the air flow may be normal or slightly reduced. That feeling of suffocation (akin to water boarding) is pushing some people into desperation.
@anonymousbyproxy8250
@anonymousbyproxy8250 2 года назад
Is any treatment for it ?!? No, there isn’t, one just needs to learn to live with it. Get a finger pulse oximeter to assure that the oxygen in blood is ok (always ok in EN syndrome) and keep your mind preoccupied with other things, just don’t think about your shortness of breath, go to bed when really tired and get some OTC sleeping tea or pills. Try to avoid thinking of it because it easily can drag you into desperation, keep your mind preoccupied with other things. You will see that IT WORKS !!!

@@DadTheBoxer Definitely i would chose first a non-invasive procedure. The problem is that Latera and Vivaer are not covered by most insurances and the charge is about 3k-5k (both nostrils). @anonymousbyproxy8250
@anonymousbyproxy8250 Год назад
But i would absolutely chose a non-invasive vs. cartilage implant. I had the “classic” procedure in May 2021 and then since every day became an ordeal, the cartilage implants had to be removed after 2 months and i was left with the so called “ENS”. Going back i do realize that a good general practitioner could have fixed me for 100$ instead of the 33,000 $ that the final bill came to just for the first surgery alone. @@CT-um7zq it was ok. The numbing does hurt the most, but I got through it. I’m still in the healing process right now. Had a few nose bleeds, but that’s a different issue. Hopefully in a couple more weeks, I’ll really notice the difference tho.

I had this procedure done on March 22, 2019 by a specialist in Florida. I was given an Oxycodin and Valium 90 minutes before the procedure and again 30 minutes before the procedure. I was told to sleep upright for a few days, not to blow my nose for 5 days. I was also told to expect increased nasal congestion for about a week. The nasal passages were closed for a couple of days , and the instructions said that it may take 4 - 6 weeks after the procedure. This is certainly not as described in this TV show!

Sounds like septoplasty and surgery.

@@ESLinsider It's not. This procedure is significantly less invasive. Your nose doesn't drip blood for a week after. The post-procedure pain is minimal. You don't have to sleep upright in a chair for a few weeks. Just wait for the swelling to go down and within a few weeks to a couple months you will likely see drastic improvement. Talk to your doctor and see if it's right for you. If it is, go for it. Sometimes it seems subtle but I think this procedure changed my life.

I am looking for a doctor doing this procedure in Florida. Would you recommend the doctor who performed your surgery? Would you share his name? Thank you.

20 years of pain and suffering of swollen turbinates and surgeries has just been solved for me now, all because of this. I have to talk to my dr. Asap, because this major health issue of mine, shouldn't still be occuring.

I’m 3 days in and I still can’t breathe bc it’s swollen and I’m assuming dry blood. The doc said it would take 4-6 weeks. I’m praying this works. Does anyone know if the doc removes the scar tissue when you come back in or will it fall out ?

Is this procedure available in india

In the US the best ENTs are those coming from India and who got their training in India. If it is not done in India it means that it is not a valid procedure.

How’s the healing process going?

He walked out of the office as soon as he completed this and went to a golf outing. There really isn't much of a healing process. It's like a normal office visit.
@traw9865
@traw9865 Год назад
@@AdvancedENTandAllergy That's a bit misleading. Perhaps compared to more invasive procedures, but you don't just walk out and go about your day like normal. In a couple of hours when the anesthesia wears off, you start to feel the pain which does eventually go away, but only to be replaced by intense sinus pressure from swelling, which the swelling is bad. Expect your entire nose inside and out to be very swollen. My swelling spread to the rest of my face. You will have a difficult time sleeping starting the first night as the post nasal drip continues, the sinus pressure, stuffiness, swelling, dry mouth/through from having to mouth breathe. It's a very uncomfortable healing process, at least the first couple of days which is where I'm at.... and from what I'm seeing from comments in this video and others, most have the congestion and difficulty breathing through their nose for several weeks to a couple of months and beyond. So, to say that you just walk out like nothing happened and there isn't much healing isn't truthful and I'm seeing a lot of doctors playing it off as such.
