The big benefit to going catfishing in the winter cold is that no one else is fishing and it is very quiet. No one working in their yards. Great catch!
The reason your depth finder started working is your motor ,,Yamaha ,,,charged up the battery and the voltage got high enough to make your graph work ,,they won’t stay on below 11 volts
2024 is off to a great start with nice big fish in spite of cold and rain. In classic Catfish Dave tradition, it was a video, there were fish 🐡 🐠 in the video, and that makes it a fishing video! 🎉❤🎉😊🎉
Brother thankyou for dealing with the weather to bring the best videos out there. I live on the IL River (CIL) where there are no to few Blues, but I downsize your processes and hunt for the biggest Channels I can find!!!
Happy new year. Suggestion. A poncho. I always kept ponchos in the boat. They sure warm you. When sitting they cover your legs also. It keeps still air around you. With snaps on them 2 of them makes a fairly big tarp. Take care guy.. hope 2024 is a good year for you. Iam serious it feels pretty cozy under a poncho. Traps all your body heat.
It is always something for the high tech gadgets, too hot or too cold, battery too low.......always something. You would think the temperature issues could be overcome, cripes they put the main computers for automobiles in the engine compartment.
Ive said it before, It seems you dont catch the numbers, But you sure catch the bigger blues, I can only assume as the water cools they will hit whatever comes near
@@rawbsworld6604 yes I did and I have seen every video that he has made. I just asked a question so that people will know what he thinks is the best color for visibility on the water. Dave gives his opinion on rods and reels and tackle so why not the color of planner board for the best visibility on the water.
@@BrokeBackBob4559 well then you should know! If you seen all the vids , I wasn’t trying to bash you just letting you know and ‘others’ that he’s made several vids on his boards and to go look them up 👍 trial & error that’s how he gained his knowledge
