To answer the gentleman in the blue shirt's initial question: whether or not people feel distress at what one says is not the metric by which we judge whether or not one should say it. Truth is.

The interviewer did his best to wheedle some sort of apology or admission from Graham Linehan. Well done to Graham for not giving in.

Graham Linehan deserves far more respect and support than he is getting in this confused world. Children's future lives are being destroyed by this culture.

Graham is right, it’s easier to denigrate him than listen to these reasonable arguments and speak out on the harms because if you do you face the abuse that comes along with that. This interviewer doesn’t really engage with the argument,he seems cowardly.

Glinner and others who are risking their careers for speaking up about this will one day be recognised as heroes. Those that are contributing to the furtherance of this ideology and the harm it causes - and those who have stuck their heads in the sand - deserve to be remembered, too. I certainly won't forget who they are.

The more every interviewer challenges Graham and he doesn't bend or break for any of them the more I admire him. This trans nonsense has got to stop and voices like his are vital to opening people's eyes to the pernicious effect it's having on society.

The Times are one of the worst , the whole nauseating problem characterised here, as usual a Times interviewer perfectly obediently towing the line, positively choking on their own desperation to curry favour and approval,of the left .

What Graham is doing is maybe one of the most honourable sacrifices one can make in our time by speaking on this issue and anyone else in his shoes would have understandably laid down their arms a while ago for the sake of having some peace, but I think Graham is one of the rare few who knows how important this is and god knows what the man has been through just for standing his ground. I do hope he gets to have a career resurgence again because he never deserved such vitriol in the first place, the madness in all of this is that he has done nothing that would be constituted as a crime and yet he has been punished for the crime of speaking common sense which should now be re-titled to rare sense.

This man is excellent. Trans ideology is strange. The interviewer rightly suggests that many ''trans'' people want to live quietly and in peace, but the issue - alas, has become politicised. Activists wish for people to accept a fundamentally false premise (that men can be women - or vice versa) - or, a redefinition of words' meanings. Those of us rooted in STEM are unlikely to bend to such ideas, yet it is being pushed on society by people infused with ludicrous beliefs learned fom radical - nonsensible, subjects that today pass as ''education''.

Watching a woke presenter trying to make common sense sound irrational and hateful is painful. Graham is amazing fighting against these dangerous ideologues who are destroying our society.

If the trans activists disagree with Graham and others who question their ideologies- why don't they engage in civil discussion ? They seem to relish the path of aggressive threats and actions . Name and shame, cancel etc In my experience the current crop of activists are very good at criticism and knocking things down - not so adept at helpful, persuasive conversation or rebuilding In my opinion, most people agree with Graham's opinions about children, safe spaces and sport but are silent because they don't want to risk the ire of the activists Some of the things happening in clinics are awful . Proper counselling is NOT always given The surgeries and chemical treatments are still in their infacy and people including children are being used as guinea pigs

Graham is a marvelous person. How can you say his views are controversial when they are shared by at least 95% of British people? The interviewer had obviously made up his mind in advance, and showed no empathy for the fact that activists have destroyed Linehan’s career. Shocking. So he thinks that it is okay to destroy someone’s life because they say something that he calls ‘controversial’. And who are these people? Most post anonymously online, using anonymity to allow them to get away with abusive behaviour. Thus a small group of extremists can shape society according to their whims. The interviewer ignored this obvious point. I suspect he lives among the metropolitan elite, and shares their world view.

Has anyone at Times Radio actually watched the Kathy Newman debacle with Jordan Peterson? This continued disingenuous reporting has got to stop. You are either choosing to misrepresent these views, or you are as simple as you suggest the general public are.

Stig is another in a long line of soft liberal "journalists" who just fence sit on vitally important issues like this. He was the same during the Charlie Ebdo attack. Luckily Douglas Murray was there to show the Pound shop James O'Brien what courage is. I don't usually watch/listen to Times radio,I watched this because of the principled brave person being interviewed. Its like a Blairite love in,just as LBC is now. Most times Glinner is interviewed it has many more views than this one. I wonder why? 🤔

But now I greatly admire you, you've taken huge financial losses to protect and speak out about the safety of women & girls, including medical harm to children. A few years ago if you'd come to a nearby town or city to talk about FT I wouldn't have even considers going, not only that it would be unfair to someone who really did like it. But...if you were within a couple hour train journey , even if you were talking about FT is be there to show my support and no doubt be shouted at my her age men who struggle to hide the make propensity to violence& aggressive behaviour.

Graham so sorry for what has happened to you. You're telling the truth and the facts .. nothing sensational or unreasonable.. this fella has no idea of the reality it seems to me.

It's pretty clear the vast majority of the populace and sensible people - including a minority even of T people - share all of Glinner's views when it comes to public policy, and are nearly entirely agreed with him in substance. This includes the medical world where there is (at least in Europe) a rowing back from the prior medical-activism pathways of automatic-affirmation and hormones ASAP for teens, to more careful pathways in properly considering the long-term health (mental and physical) of the children involved - who often do have profound psychiatric care needs (esp. in girls). It is therefore bizarre that Glinner is demonised so strongly by mainstream media. The man is guilty of nothing more than looking into the details and arriving at certain conclusions earlier than (nearly) everyone else.
