The main reason he’s called corny a lot it’s because of the things he did or would do for attention that’s not really needed but besides all that he deserves his respect and his flowers
I would love to see Bow Wow in an exec role at a record label or create his own label. He has so much knowledge and can really mold young artists. The acting is cool and he does well but I’m sure he can develop an artist and produce.
Bow Wow is a Legend & still hella humble. thats because he been in it so long, its normal life to him. he dont even dress like he been rich almost all his life. oh & Like Mike is a culture classic
I always felt like Bow Wow should be way bigger than where he is now. He been in the game for 3 decades since he was damn near in diapers and had tons of hits and several platinum and gold selling albums. He let the new wave and new era of rappers pass him up and reach a higher level of audience who would rather listen to them over him and made it damn near impossible for him to make a comeback on the music side. I think he through in the towel way too early and even when he did drop songs here and there, it's almost like it came & went and nobody was paying attention to him anymore. Even his mixtape catalogue is highly slept on, which is sad because some of his best material is on his mixtapes. However, I do think that 1 last album from him would be dope where he finally tell his story through the music of how he got discovered and all of the trials and tribulations that he had to face dealing with the fame along with his personal life along with some introspective lyricism & dope production that would definitely stir up some talks, conversations and shed a different light on him in a positive way on the music scene. Then after that, he should become a full blown business man or maybe become an A&R or start up a record label for up & coming kid rappers like him when he was growing up, that's just my opinion🤷🏾♂️.
in his era there was a ton of lil rappers though. Lil Wayne, Lil Bowow, Lil Zane, Lil Keke, Lil Jon, Lil Flip, Lil Scrappy, Lil White. I remember my dad being like why do all these dudes name themselves Lil? in like the year 2001.
Damn!! Big Bow Wow speaking main Facts💯💯💯 abour this business ..For reals man these New Celebrities in Hip Hop or any other genre need to get classes about this Business🔥💯👊🏽
That’s because y’all have been programmed to only listen to “famous rappers” there are so many styles in the game but y’all are spoon fed they same old thing💯🤷🏾♂️
@@Turfbaby831 True but in all past era's there was diversity and a million different styles on the mainstream level as well. Now you gotta go to the underground, I don't got time so my Playlist is mostly 90s 2000s and early 2010s tbh..
Bow wow calling now is to be an A&R. He has the unique experience since he was a kid into an adult. Bro learned From Suge Dre Snoop Jermaine Dupri and Birdman. Brooooo.
Yall gotta stop talking down on bow wow. Smh yall gotta be too young to understand who he is. All these fd up ppl in the game yet yall talk so bad about my dawg. Chill!
@@MrEOM41y’all don't support the real. Y'all don't support the real hip-hop commentators, y'all not supporting the real artist, y'all not supporting nothing real but want real shit to come back. What sense does that make? Y'all support people like Akademiks and trash rappers.
Bow wow really got it. Be original, learn the game, find something to market and use your brand. People laugh at him because he didn’t turn into 50 cent but I think he’s always been a great role model. He was a star from get. He had a long run and deserves his credit.
hate em or love em, Shad came from that Golden Era. was a kid in an era where you had to have star qualities to be a name. when dropping a song or music video, was an event 💯 he held his own & changed the game for the youngins
The rap game has an expiration data unlike say R&B or Rock music. So it would not be a bad idea to do more acting once he wasn't selling out shows@@YoungMannie92
He tried with NCIS I think. But as a black entertainer once you get that “Corny” label by your own ppl it’s a wrap. Only Nick Cannon and Will Smith have survived that. And that’s only because they have a diverse fan base.

I just told my cousin that shit is repetitive and generic now. I’ve caught many of these new rappers saying the same lines. Then all the beats are the same cadence/tempo.
Albums were more classic when the industry has artist development too. Artist used to record 30 songs before one was good enough. Now artist put out everything they record and most albums have a week or two lifespan
This isn’t even true. The songs they decide to put put out of 100 they record are probably what the label thinks will get good feedback. It’s the market oversaturation.
The reason why it changed is because of how social media became very popular! You can make so much money on social media now so labels have no choice but to ride a wave, until another one comes, otherwise they will be missing out on so much money if they focus on developing artists!
You have to understand that these times are a I want it now!!that’s why you can make a hit and go straight to social media and get paid .. what bow wow went through was a process.. that’s what kept him relevant from 6 years old .. these new people don’t want the process they want money and image
@champdavidson1492 Understand fully. But don't have soo much to say unless you can contribute or evolve. Let's be honest, he was a performer but all else was handed to him and that's why he was lost without JD and writers.
Bow wow should be worth way more than 1 million. That's wild. How is soulja boy worth 30 million and bow wow is worth 1 million and bow wow has way more hits and a bigger popularity.
2:38 this is exactly what i told Bow before starting the Unleashed album. When JD told him he's not gonna work with him anymore. I had learned some things at that point. I tried to tell/teach Bow this info & that's when i got separated from him.
@@imsofocused4678 Lil Shawn in '86? Damn, I missed that one. What song did he have out around that time? In '86, I was all about The Beastie Boys, Run DMC and Eric B. & Rakim.
Shad moss you just don't know how you despite being a adult kids will also mature and still follow you. You amazing man as a person and actor. Continue to stay bless man 💪🏼
I want to say ever since Napster days music industry stopped investing in artists. I remember at the time a lot of indie artists were talking about how labels were only looking to sign new artists who already had an established following online and/or locally.
Nas. Killer Mike. Griselda and some others still making quality music. Its not just Cole and Kendrick. But overall yes the music quality has gone down a lot
I promise you there's more rappers than Cole and Kendrick making quality, lyrical rap music, only thing is they're not being pushed out there. You gotta really dig to find em.
*1990s-2000s* - Lil Kim, Lil Wayne, Lil Flip, Lil Bow Wow, Lil Jon, Lil Scrappy, Lil Boosie, Lil Zane, etc… *2000s-2010s* - Young Joc, Young Jeezy, Young Buck, Young Dro, Young Bloodz, Yung LA, Yung Berg, Young Money, Young Thug, Young MA, etc… *2010s-2020s* - Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Dicky, Lil Durk, Lil Pump, Lil Bibby, Lil Reese, Lil Yachty, Lil Xan, etc…
Idc What yall say .bow wow was in my cd player when i was a young gunner on my mongoose riding aroung.and the lil john eastside boys went hard .t.i.jezzy.dem franchise boys.damn.take me back asap
it's not the 80's 90's nor early 2k's anymore. ATP you should already know this industry is a business and you need to learn it. Master's writing points etc. How we the consumer knows yall need a lawyer an accountant and investments so you don't have to be performing for life and can actually last in the industry or etc and you need to be taught about the industry and we're not even apart of it! We know more and we not even the artist! ATP if they don't get it it's bc they don't want to....that's their fault...oh well.
Bow Wow look like Bow Wow again. I’m glad he stopped using the lean and whatever else he was using that had his face all puffy and swollen like he was on prednisone. That jean be fkn with folk kidneys
Yes. He speaking facts. This era needs PR training bad. Pulling reg folks from YT or Tiltok & putting them in front of the world. Setting them up for failure. Don't just give them 10k & let them figure out shit themselves. Music industry needs to do better. We wanna hear better quality music too.
As a 24 yr old guy music has changed even when I was a kid we had music like 50 or young Kanye and to see the music now I’m of this generation but I only listen to Cole and drake other than that I be on straight 90s rap like i don’t even like my generation music
Back then when it was a better era of music that he came up in as an 80s baby. They had media training people there to teach you how to give interviews what to say what not to say and I’m not saying there was a dark things going on in the industry because it still was years ago sometimes people taught you how to conduct yourself especially when you were young but it was definitely some dark things going on behind the scenes I wish you would talk about stuff like that but it won’t happen 3:39 now they just give a young guy a few pills some loud couple hookers and just let him be destroy himself
