One thing that I always notice with chef JP is that he does not promote himself or his restaurants all the time but Filipino dishes/delicacies in general. He also knows how to uplift these simple cooks by appreciating them greatly for representing the pinoy foods they produce. Sana makapunta ko sa resto mo chef and matikman ko din lahat ng recommended mong foods. looks legit lahat haha more power!!
Chef, I pre ordered here at Marits 600 pcs when I saw you featured her on your previous vlog. As far as I remember, it’s 120 php for a pack of 10 piaya. Brought it back to Manila and gave it to my family and friends. It never disappoints anyone who tasted it and definitely it’s the best Piaya out there. Thanks Marits and Chef JP for introducing the best Piaya to the world.
grabe iyak ko chef jp, it gives me more the drive to go for my passion- which is cooking and serving good foods to everyone that brings them joy and making connection to them.
6:42 You're the instrument chef why Marit's piaya was being adjudge as the best piaya in our province specifically in Silay because of your promotion..Through you and your good intentions to help small businesses...God bless you Chef JP and your wife Camille for being so supportive of local good delicacies..May your tribe increase...Salute to you ...Filipino food forward...Mabuhay ang mga Kusinerong Pinoy❤❤❤❤!
one of my fave of vlogs of yours Chef JP. I just remember my Lola. Its giving good vibes. I just love how she pay it forward the help to the tricycle drivers. Continue to do more vlogs Chef JP and more powers to channel. Keep inspiring people.
I never thought I'd cry in a Chef JP video but it's so hard not to in this episode. Thank you chef for sharing such inspiring and heartwarming story not only us, your viewers, but to the world.
my mantra is also "Good things happen to good people". I am so proud as Ilongga, Piaya is our food with a true Ilonggo soul. Great job kay manang Marit and family. We will definitely order. I want to hug you guys, especially Saul aguyy lol
Ahay, ka nami kay Tiyay a. You can tell that she has a good heart. A genuine and kind person. She is making quality food but the main ingredient is love. I've always said this about people and food, that good food comes from love. You can tell someone is putting their passion and love, it truly reflects on the food. I miss this so much. I like how it's handcrafted rather than the big commercial products. Nothing wrong with that either but these smaller business makes the best. Halong kamo.
This made me cry a little. Chef JP's advises on food like cooking with love and to use the best quality ingredients as much as possible and not do it just for the money, are the values that I always remind myself from time to time. I hope I can start my business soon and will put all of these advises at work. Thank you Chef JP for being an inspiration.
Watching this episode made me smile and teary eyed...the warm hug when Mama Marit saw Chef JP...I wish their business transcends other countries and boundaries
Thank you so much Chef JP! For reminding us everytime in your vlog that this is not just the food, but the humility and love of everybody in their food. This made me cry. And I think this not only related in food but everyone’s craft and passion. Lola merit is such an inspiration to me personally. Mabuhay pagkaing Pinoy! Pagmamahal….
Chef JP, salute! You are super humble especially when were translating Ma'am Marits and she was describing how you immensely helped her business. Not sure why I was crying buckets due to a chef JP vlog. I love the series of you and Camille taking chef AJ and Saul to really local food spots in PH and then the camping with Ninong Ry and Baguio Mountain man. Keep the passion burning, Chef JP and Camille!
Chef JP, you made me cry. Thank you for always trying your best to show how good filipinos are. More power to your advocacies. We need more people like you. And I commend Mommy Marit too… I always love to watch your vlogs… God bless you more 🙏
I fly to Bacolod regularly & since the time I learned about Marit's Special Piaya never miss this last stop before going to the airport. Its so good & its becoming a problem because my take home box is getting bigger and bigger every time worried the airline might charge me for overweight LOL . Thanks Chef JP, your team & Mommy Marits . . . God bless
Thanks Chef JP! First part made me cry, the second part made me appreciate all the effort and realized what made Marits Piyaya distinct and speacial. Congrats Chef JP for making Filipino food forward and appreciated all over the Globe.
I cried! This episode is so sincere, so real, so heartwarming. I love piaya but I hope I get the chance to taste Nanay Maritz special piaya one day. Sna may option na to order online soon. More power Nanay. More power Chef JP!
The hug of Chef JP to Nanay Marit shows how he value her so much....This shows how good chef JP is and a loving son to his parents for his actions speaks it all..oh i love this guy so much and Camille is very lucky for having him as her husband not as a chef but a good hearted man and this made me admire him most ... Keep doing good chef fir your fellowmen and reward will come your way without knowing it..Praying so hard that you will be blessed with what you're praying for....a big family soon..God bless you good people as well as Camille the very supportive wife...
What i love about Chef Jp is that He always finds a way to honor filipino food/small filipino food businesses. Chef, im a huge fan of yours and in everything you do. Way to go chef jayps!
idol talaga kita chef jp, I love how you translate it to your friends about how grateful nanay about you for appreciating her foods but instead you didnt mention your name.
I love how chef JP feature, visit and still connects with the people and places that guided/influenced,inspired him making who he is as a person chef and a leader. Thank you for sharing your journey chef.
This is the main reason why I always say to my coworkers that you, chef, is my kitchen hero. Lot's of people can do technical and creative in their job or on how they make their dishes but the heart that you put in food that you cook and how you treat people is what you make difference from other chef out there. Proud Negrosanon Cook! Hope to meet you soo chef.
Chef JP I admire the content, the connection to our culture and your passion. Keep posting. When we come back home, I already have a lot of places that I would like to explore because of you. By the way I’m watching all the way from El Dorado Hills, CA!
Chef you and your wife have this great vibe! Like the ones in food network channel travel/food/cooking vibe. Can’t explain the vibe properly but you guys have this chemistry in travel/cooking/hosting/foodie vibe. ❤
I was able to taste the famous piaya when i went to Cagayan de Oro but i think this is the best place to buy piaya syempre basta si Chef JP ang nagsabi na masarap 100% approve!❤
oh this is so lovely!! thank you guys for this! i cried, too! i wanna go to this place one day! i can see that this piaya is delicious! i love piaya so much and that i crave right now. huhu!
it's truly inspiring how you put a premium on the humanity of the dishes.. God bless your family and your team.
Chef, you make us proud to be Negrense/Pinoys. The Pinoy food you share with us just broadens our experiences & excites us to try more. To a PWD like me, thank you for letting me travel along with you & Mam Cams
I've watched Chef JPs 1st visit here and the vibes were the same. You really know when people is authentic. More power and hoping one day, I can taste this masterclass product.
Um, not me sobbing at midnight watching this. In LOVE with the passion behind everything. My bro was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and we're trying to spend as much time with him as we can. We spend the entire weekend binge-watching your vlogs. He loves your camp/glamp/farmer's market-y foodie/cooking sesh's. Thanks for your amazing content. I could talk for days about food and breaking bread with others. You guys are my kind-o peeps. haha Also, Saul is the cutest cryer everrrr! I'm an empath and I totally felt that. haha
This is so heartwarming and inspiring! Thank you Nanay Marit for sharing your story and blessings to the people around you. Hopefully we get to taste your blockbuster piaya here in Davao. Again and again, salute to you Chef JP, Ms. Camille, Chef AJ and Saul for your genuine appreciation and support to Nanay Marit and her team ❤

Chef you're such a humble human being! @16:30 Marit was explaining of how great of a person you are but you did not translate it as is because you didn't want to brag. 🥺 Ikaw gid ya Chef ang legit nga influencer nga dapat ginasundan. Bilatibay ya!
Where can we buy this?? I hope I can go here and also, do what you do. Feature locals. Thank you chef for just being you. Kind, friendly, patriotic no matter where you go.
