I have the wera tool check plus. Older version. I have had it for 2.5 years. At my job I can get 80% done with just that tool. Very handy. I know not everyone likes them. But since I purchased mine about 6 other employees have also gotten them because they seen how handy they are.
Small tip/trick for the tool check plus- You can take out Wera's rapidaptor, and replace it with a 1/4-5/16 flip socket. The malco fits flush, as if it were made for it, but I like the Klein because It works as a bit holder as well, and only sticks out slightly, and I run other Klein flip sockets. I bought the imperial version, removed the 4 smallest sockets, added a 9/16", 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, and the shortest Klein flip socket- covers more of what I run into. I also changed out a lot of the bits so I have SAE and Metric hex bits. I keep mine in my overalls pocket daily, so I can justify tweaking it. I honestly can't believe how much use I get out of that little driver and ratchet, because they're always on me.
Joey thank you for making great content and gathering this great bunch of people in your comment section. I’ve said for a while now that your channel deserves to grow a lot more.
They say you get more subscriptions if you ask in the videos… I’m not sure if it’s true or not, but I know I don’t subscribe just because somebody asks 😂
@@MORGANSMaintenance when people join because they do feel the need to all by themselves I feel they might be around longer. That what I do anyway. And I guess the comment section might not be the same if you had a 100k followers. And I know the comment section is a big part of you even doing these videos.
@@MORGANSMaintenance that why really big accounts normally become a production company with a bunch of staff. And I don’t think you would even want that.
I got the Klein wrenches when you put out the video of them 50% off. First set of ratcheting wrenches I've ever bought and they were well worth it. Thanks very much for the tip.
I got lucky and caught the tool check plus on a sale for $64 a while back. It’s still expensive but it is very handy with all it comes with. I’m an electrician and do a lot of low voltage security and cameras. With the little driver and small ratchet, it comes in handy often to get into tight spaces. Great tool. I like your videos!
for screwdrivers, sure but never really needed a screwdriver for a fastener that i couldn't use a drill/driver for. 1 thing though about the magnets if you put them on a bit and expect to see the screwhead.. forget about it. they get in the way of seeing the screwhead. i thought i would edc the makita 1 (green) back when Makita golds were still a thing and i had the hardest time tightening 4 square boxes because i couldn't see best the magnet completely eclipse any view of where to put the bit into the fastener slot but for building and running long screws into 2x4s it does a good job on keeping the screw on the bit
@@toolsandtactics 👍👍 I think they are going to be more a small magnatizer/demagnatizer for me to throw in a small Veto pocket. I can see it being hard to see the tip “that’s what she…”
@@parkerjohnson5420 appreciate that… even a few years in I’m learning on the editing/filming of videos. I don’t have fancy equipment or anything, but I do the best with I can with what I have. Love talking about and trying out tools 👍👍
Great video, Klein tools rock. Wish I would of gotten those wrenches for $40. I also avoided the Wera kit, but saw too many good people like yourself talk about the Tool Check Plus, I finally caved and bought the metric kit. Wera rocks. THX AGAIN!
I think they are a nice “to go” set. And if you use them in someone’s home it’s nicer to have that softer case to lay them out in. Less likely to scratch the surface
Love your videos,,always check my feed for latest from morgan,,,was in plant maintenance out of high school, then went on railroad for forty years till retirement but still enjoy fixin things…….be well..

When buying light look for high CRI (color rendering index). Most lights including Olight use cheap ugly LEDs that have green or blue tint to them and they don't display color accurately, it can help define details like is that a snake or a stick.
I'm taking out a planter box and it has a ton of lug bolts that are literally buried into the wood, flush. Would a saw tooth bit work for something like that?? I've been using a claw hammer to just split the wood but it's been a pain. I had not seen those before.
@@turbot_ possibly if it’s the right size. I’m not sure how long they will last on wood. They are meant more for tape, caulk, etc. but they do have teeth
Nice tool haul! I did pick up both of the Klein ratcheting sets for $40 each the other day. Nice enough wrenches and definitely worth $40 per set. I'd prefer offsets with a switch, but that'll never happen for $40. I colored in the white logo on the metric pouch with a sharpie so I could tell the difference too. Hard to tell the difference otherwise.
I’ve actually only got one 10” myself. I don’t use them as often so I don’t have a double. We will see if Maybe someone else on here will have an extra that will.
Has anyone compared the klien ratchet wrenches with the wera joker ratchet wrenches? They look similar even with the color coating. I just have a hard time spending the wera price.
Definitely picked up the Klein ratchet wrenches after you posted it was Lowe’s deal of the day. I think at $80 each, I couldn’t pull the trigger. But, $80 for both was worth it. Thanks for the videos!
I've been super impressed with what I can get done with the Tool Chevk Plus. One thing that expands the value of it is you can also buy either the Imperial or Metric 1/4" sockets separately on a rail, I keep that in the same pouch so it gives me even more capability 👍🏻
@@youcanthide004 appreciate it… I’m a tool junkie so I figure I share what I buy to help people decide if they could use it or not. Glad you found some things 👍
That Warsun T7 flashlight looks just like the Nebo Slim Mini. That’s what I’ve been using for about a year now to just carry around on me at all times. That’s a great little light. 300 lumens and has a magnet on the bottom. Super handy. They’re only like 15 bucks
Thanks for sharing these deals! I picked up some Toughbuilt Fastener Bags at Menards tonight. They were hidden in the corner of the store, far from tool bag aisle where their web site said they would be. I had to ask an employee for help.
@@MORGANSMaintenance They carry Knipex, and their store brand tools have same type of warranty as Harbour Freight. My mothers, grandma's family, is Menards and Ben Franklin. My father's, mother is Kentucky.
That’s a great haul, I’ve had my eye on the wera tool check. I’m glad you got a menards finally Morgan. You’re gonna save big money at menards. Don’t forget to mail off your 11% rebate
Yeah that 11% made these only $4.00 The Tool check is nice. I’d probably still want to catch it on a deal, but that’s because I’m someone who doesn’t really “need” anything it offers. I have something else already that does it. It’s a good option for someone who really needs those things to get it all at once.
Nice haul. I have another brand of bit magnetizer, and it is very useful. This has become one of my favorite channels, even though it has cost me a few chunks of change😅.
Oh that is a “downside “ of this channel for sure 🤣🤣. No all jokes aside my work life improved a lot in the two years I’ve really paid attention to tool channels both on here and on Instagram. And yes there is a lot of twats praising garbage out there but guys like Joey help you find things I had no idea where out there. And so many times I’ve thought to myself if only I had that 20 years ago wauw that would have helped so much with x y and z. Now I’m the guy and my Coworkers go to because “ I’m sure you have something for this “. Some of this stuff just makes it that a oh shit moment becomes a chance to use something and get it done. I’m kinda rambling but it’s late and I’m tired lol
@@MORGANSMaintenance and then they ask where did you get that? And then next thing you know your ordering 5 vessel electric screwdrivers from Japan for them
I like that those Toughbuit fastener bags are more portrait style than the usual parts bags you can get, availability doesn't look good in the UK though, will try a harder search when I get time. Those Klein spanners are a nice set, will be interesting to see how robust they are over time, wish they would add a 7mm in as well though.
First of all GDAY from Australia, love your vids. Those toughbuilt fastener bags go for $60-$135 AUD so for under $5 USD is a steal, be careful the police might be around to take a statement. Stay safe
Hey Joe not sure if you caught wind of it yet but Milwaukee Pipeline just announced the Super Packout rolling cart, we are finally getting a large pull out bin on the rolling cart so you can still grab your stuff with a stack on top
Alot of fun stuff! I've had thoes toughbuilt pouches before and they are well built and the base msrp was 13ish dollars decent value. The malco still continues to be my go to and kinda stopped using the klein flip sockets. I don't like spinning that much weight on a impact assemble disassemble for the few sizes I need can be covered by a few malcos. What's the country of origin on that new malco I sure hope it's still Taiwan. The tool check plus I use to use a decent bit and as it's value to alot of people. Now bit sets like the vessel usa big big case cover most needed and odd size bits. It's not like I'm gonna not have other full size tools. I did drill out the plastic rivets on the side for the bit holding handle to make it more compact it does help. I've recently has 2 youtubers I enjoy and sent them care packages of unused tools they appreciate it and it's only thr cost of shipping to me. To be fair I've offered a few times to send you stuff it's why I had to go behind your back and get someone else to send you things. The klein wrench rolls look very usable I almost wish I picked up the sets to gut them. I have leather and canvas ones from az currently that are good quality (around 20$ each) but I like that flat shape myself. As always I'm glad you love for the comments it's shows because you have regulars that actually care. Would it be nice to make more money sure but if you like the interaction like us regulars do that's a reward in itself for your hard work. We all know each video takes a bit to make and edit 10 minutes equals hours of work. By the way because you don't badger us to like and subscribe made me want to. I know it's how people make money but disruption of the flow of rhe video makes it almost worse. Keep on trucking and we will continue to support you.
The Malco is made in Taiwan… Yeah you have offered and I appreciate it. I have always had a hard time with people “giving” me stuff. It’s even the same with companies. I love giving to people and I shouldn’t rob people of an opportunity to do the same for me, it’s just my mindset of not wanting to put someone out.
Yea people offer because you deserve it. Also like the other stuff I've shipped in the past was never anything from the current arsenal of tools always extras and spare stuff. I know there's probably a few that would agree with me we just want the tool to find a good home instead of a landfil or scrap yard. My area selling used tools dosent bring much money or hardly worth the effort. I have given tons of vintage tools I restored for the fun of it to the boy scouts they have distributed them to people in need. It's actually no diffrent I'm real life if someone really loves something I have and I have spares they find there way to them to pass on the goodwill. I refuse to put them in a bucket and say a buck a peice and maybe make 30 40 bucks? I'd rather have smiles per gallon 👍
The price for that Tool check plus is what is keeping me from getting it! Now if I can find it for cheaper I might pull the trigger on it. Nice review!
I picked up the one with imperial sockets for $53, and the one with metric sockets for $67, so the price does drop sometimes. Price trackers are helpful.
Yeah I was the same. I still think it’s a little overpriced, but it is a nice set and I see why so many people like it. If you bought it all individually, the price makes sense I guess
Joey, Thank you for taking the time to do these videos! It's really nice to get honest tool reviews from someone who does not get freebies all the time from manufacturers. There are too many reviewers who seem to be "agents" of manufacturers or distributors. Do you get many freebies from manufacturers or distributors? I understand that you let viewers know when something has been given to you--correct? Your videos are terrific! You tend to review items that you have purchased yourself--that gives you great creditbility!
I occasionally get things for free, but it’s not often. I always mark it a paid promotion if I get something for free even if they aren’t “paying me”. I will always mention it as well. I turn down more things than I decide to get. I will only take something if it is something we might actually use. I always tell the company the only way I will take it, is if I can be 100% honest.
If you ever get the time and tools, any chance we could get a Bit Magnetic Enhancer comparison video? I'd be curious to see how the Milwaukee, Makita and Vessel magnets stack up and how secure they fit on different brand bits
Love the "trade" idea 😂😂 I like watching and commenting on this channel because this is one of the few channels I know I'll get a response. Great content, keep it up!
Mr. Joey Morgan ! You're gonna make it to 20K! It’s really no surprise how You've grown Your Channel. Great content, presented by a sincere, dedicated Creator. You have integrity, and Faith, and I believe You have been blessed by it. But then You went and ruined this Video for me, when You showed those Klein wrench sets! 😯🙄 I wasn’t able to get them for myself. 😢 🤣 My local Lowe’s stinks! Glad You got them, and they look good. I do like the tool rolls. Take care, Stay safe, and blessed! 👍🙏💪🇺🇸😊
@@MORGANSMaintenance I know, ‘they’ say “Beware the Flatterer,” but it comes from the Heart. Now ifn ya doesn’t let me know about them thar wrenches in a future sale, I will be upset Joey! BWAHHAHHA 😯😆😂🤝
$1 for the blades???? Dang, the nearest Menard's to me is 210 miles away. I just picked up 50 Milwaukee blades at the Depot and was happy with paying $9.90!!!
Yeah it’s not a bad deal… and my scraper has to have those ToughBuilt blades specifically. My closest one was pretty far away, but we finally got one in the town I work in.
Milwaukee has a really good magnetizer that’s made for their slim type bits. I was able to force it onto the middle of the double sided bit that came with that $13 vessel ball handle screwdriver with a ph2 & 1/4” flathead, it was magic haha
I’ve seen those. I use bit holders 90% of the time so I don’t think to try those. I bought these to mainly try on screwdrivers. They don’t fit over a 1/4” flathead… or at least yet I’m going to try and get one to do it 😂
Thanks for creating a great channel. That menards toughbuilt sale on tool bags belts and pouches was exceptional! Too bad shipping was working out far more than the cost of the items.
I may try some out. I run through them on acoustic ceiling tile jobs. Especially the ones with reveal edges. My favorite for that have been some older Stanley FatMax blades, but they quit selling those specific ones. I bought a bunch off eBay, but I’m about out. So I might see how those work.
I don’t know if I’ve seen the Ridgid ones. I will see if I can look them up. I’m sure there are lots of similar things. I saw Vessel and “Red”, so I pulled the trigger 😂
Makita makes a blue one they sell in hds. The better one I found is a new milwaukee one that is kinda rubber like. It comes in a set with some 2in philips bits. Better yet it fits over any bit and even over slightly larger ones 5/16+
It's 2 magnets inside rubber silcone so it should give you that extra stretch. I tried it on a 5/16 bit and a 11/32 rod it can do it with a little persuading
I have the Vessel bit holders clipped to my Veto bag. On one of my longer bits I have attached I keep the Vessel magnet on it so I can just slip it off that and use it on any other driver. I just used it the other day when I had to change the water inlet valves in my washing machine. It just happened to have it attached to my Vessel ball handled #2.
I’m not real sure if they are or not… I didn’t get the box or anything with it. I’d have to look it up and see, but I don’t think so. Someone else may answer before I find the answer.
They are not specifically impact rated but they last fine under normal use. Put a 1/2 impact wrench to 1/4 in adapter and put 1100 ft lbs on them I'm sure most bits would break.
I have the Wera Tool Check Plus and Vessel Mag Enhancer. Both good products. I’m going to order the Warsun tonight. I was just looking for something like that, but ended up getting the TrustFire Mini X3, which has a flashlight, UV light, laser, and front facing light. And it’s USB-C. TrustFire would probably send you one to review. The fit and finish isn’t quite as nice as Olight, but it’s also almost half the price.
@MORGANSMaintenance Can’t go too wrong with an $11 light. I just ordered it using your link. Also, if you’re looking for more bit magnets, Anex, Engineer, SK11, and Takagi Earth Man have some interesting ones. They’re listed as “mug catch(er)” and “screw catch(er)” on AMZN Japan. Those brands also have interesting keychain bit holders(similar to Railer’s) and locking bit holders. There’s also something on there called the Takagi Earth Man Share Link Multi-Tool that you might get a kick out of. It’s the kind of tool that could only be reviewed on April Fool’s Day.
