Man I can't believe I was unaware of this ....

I was mixed up about why TOOL pulled it from Private Parts, it was due to signing over the rights to Stern - it wasn’t happening. No Quarter was recorded at the same time Aenima was, but didn’t make the album (obviously). That’s where I read it was cut due to length - CDs can only accommodate so many minutes. Hence Salival - I hope they release it on streaming platforms someday.

He does things like that quite often, it’s really cool. Most times he’s doing that to represent another view/angle to the ‘conversation’ within the story. Like one section may be an addict talking and the next the addiction is talking. He’s a master lyricist plain and simple. You do know he has 2 other bands right? They,’re both full of masterful compositions. A Perfect Circle and Puscifer round out his 3 bands. The MJK rabbit hole is quite vast u might say!

How bout the 1st song on their 13th step album, it’s called The Package. I say this because it’s a concept album, so if you like it you can listen to the rest of the album in order as it was intended. Their discography is full of great music!

You mean at the beginning or towards the end ? Imo the effects he used at the beginning mimic plants vocals in the original. The second set of vocals were good and for the song perfectly
