I've heard the same. Apparently they have recorded all of their love shows as well. I expect, perhaps when they are too old, they will release some live stuff to satisfy the masses. In my humble opinion.

I'm so thankful he's still kicking, he's 60 and he's going just as hard. I just saw them live on 3/20/22, he did a whole segment for chocolate chip trip and absolutely killed it. I hope he's around for many many more shows, I love this man.

So you're one of the "The old band is better than the new band" person. Come on, he doesn't have his full range anymore, but he's still trying. I doubt you could be a better singer than him though. I'm just happy he's still singing Opiate.

In the 90's- the begining of the 00's Maynard was CLEARLY exercising his Demons.Made evident by his big dark eyes and haunting stare. But made even more obvious by his deep soul screaming heartbreaking screams and emotions that reverberated through all of us listening that would send the hairs and goosebumps rising on our bodies no ordinary singer can conjure such vibes and emotion only somebody that's coming from a deep dark painful place and clearly means every word that he's singing. And nowadays it's obvious that those demons are long gone it's not possible to match those kinds of emotions day in and day out for all these years coming as a fan that sucks but still no singer matches him to this day and no band matches them! they were in a complete universe ALL THEIR OWN back then. NOTHING COULD COMPARE. and now they are just in a galaxy all their own. Still nobody can compare and they are as Good as it gets it's just people change. I've seen them 23 times since 94 and have tickets for three shows coming up and I've only seen one show where Maynard seem to be painting by numbers.

Dude is literally 55-56 yrs old in this video after 30 yrs of touring with 3 bands singing rock music. cant expect him to still have the energy of young baby tool maynard

​@@Syncopated_this is a phoned in performance. I love Maynard. Loved him in his 20s, loved him I. His 30s, and I love his near 60 year old voice now. Go listen to him belt out Invincible for the first time. Before it was released officially. He's singing like his life depends on it. The Ponce DeLeon part is sooooo much better live because of the grit in his voice. Like he's pissed at himself for searching for extended existence. It's great. This one? No. It's not.

why sad? getting a little extra at a live performance is a bonus. you can toss the studio album on whenever you want
