Tool - Jambi - The Non-existent DVD (2013) 

So many people are talking about Danny and Maynard, but Justin Chancellor is also an important factor in the sound and feel of TOOL. I think he’s one of the most brilliant, inventive and downright brutal bass players ever.

You got Maynard stomping on the down beat, Justin jamming out on bass, Danny rocking out and keeping time....then there's Adam, walking around on stage looking like a guy picking out shoes at Footlocker lol. I love it. No where on earth is there a better powerhouse of musical talent. We are lucky to be alive during this time.

Can we all just admit..... This is the greatest band that ever existed?

The fact that this sounds like the studio version of this song live is absolutely incredible. Like it blows my mind.

Lyrically speaking, this song brings me as close to God as I want to come, as a living, breathing person. Masters of the craft of musicality- the instrumental abilities of this band , go places beyond my imagination. And I say this as a drummer of 36 years. There never has been, or will be, another band that captures all senses, in the way Tool has. I extend to them my greatest level of respect.

Tool is the only band where it feels like their songs are *happening*to*you vs just listening and taking the song in. Each song is a profound experience rather than merely a piece of art.

So I saw a meme of squidward dancing to Jambi and wanted to compare the dancing to Maynard. Then I accidentally stayed to watch the entire thing

Adam Jones's seemingly effortless playing on this song is pretty remarkable. Everything was perfectly in sync through all those complex sections and weird time signature changes. To be that tight while doing that crazy pull-off riff is insane. I love when Tool is going at full throttle with all four of them doing their own complex thing that somehow interweaves into this enormous sonic entity that hovers over the stage like an angry dragon.

Had my first listen in 92 at age 12. And rode the spiral til this day. ,. I named my daughter judith- Marie Madison Duvall , and my son, Jonathan Mason Maynard Duvall , in conclusion. Music is my life. ,. And tool saved me from myself and the world. , I'm forever appreciative

These guys are pretty good. Someone should give them a record deal.

Saw them preform this live last month. It was my first time seeing them after listening to them since 96'. It was truly one of the best experiences of my life. Yes they are that good.

I saw Tool, Puscifer and Primus at the same show, it was A-fucking-mazing :D

I swear to god that breakdown at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="246">4:06</a> is absolutely amazing, and then like 10 seconds later Maynard is swinging back and forth....it makes me smile everytime, one of the best riffs and heavy beats they have, the one in the pot is amazing too

Adam is a wizard, he changes his shirt during the song and manages to tie his hair during the song and untie it and manage to change back to other shirt.... GOD

Danny needs like 3 more cymbals, another kick, and at least one more gong. He looks bored with that beginner kit.

There's just no other way of listening to this masterpiece other than in max volume, i keep checking if I can turn it up even when I know it is already at the highest possible haha

Witnessing Tool for the 1st time is a spiritual awakening

Tool and Rush absolutely have to best bands ever put together. Both bands have pushed the envelope with limited manpower having put out some of the most creative music in history

LOOK EVERYONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No this isn't live, it's the studio version with some very creative editing and echoing BUT I love playing this and believing it's live, it's all we have as Tool fans. Everyone should praise this post not shred it, it sounds incredible. And while we're on the subject, it's been 8 YEARS BOYS ! My sanity depends on a new album soon. That is all.

Few musicians in any gendre of music ever achieve the levels of being as synchronized and tight like Tool, and another example for sure is Rush.

Adam Jones may not be super technical, but he's definitely a must for that "Tool Sound"!!! I just saw Tool on 1-11-2022 and was blown away! Best concert ever!!!

Whenever this song comes on I’m first awed by Adam’s shockingly heavy guitar, then just absolutely astounded by Maynard’s ethereal voice. Then I am again shocked by how many times they can change their clothes during a show.

I saw them two times in Mexico last year. When them played "Jambi" I undestand how small we were each of us on audience. Jambi takes my fuckin soul, the lyrics are so amazing, every word, every note has a lot of sense for me. Real Honesty to write this song. They've always let their fame come to them, and with such talent, that's all they need to stay popular. Play it, and they will come. Every member of this band is a top notch artist, and all they ever focus on is giving their live audiences the best sound they possibly can.

saw them in vancouver BC i believe it was 2017/2018, what i do remember is i could not take my eyes off of Justin playing bass, that man is a master of his class, and the vibe and energy he emitted was unreal, all of them, hands down THEE #1 band i've ever seen live
