I picked up one of these recently for about $100. Works great for headlights and smaller projects.

Creators need to do these types of videos more. 1, 2, etc year reviews. I love your videos on tools but would appreciate more reviews after much use.

Will this burn up if use it to clean up an entire shortblock ecoboost? Asking for a friend 🤷🏼‍♂️ jk, another great video tony. I’ve been eyeing this for a couple years, glad to receive your review on it

Haha mine did get warm after about 2 to 5 min of continuous grinding on the steering knuckles but I didn't have any problems with it and it's still going strong lol. Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching

Can you wet sand with this tool without messing up the paint?
@GM-gc8gg

Anybody have a third-party source for the attachments for this tool? Not the sanding discs or foam pads, but the backing pad with the threaded stud that threads onto the tool. The part numbers for the Milwaukee-brand ones are 49-36-0800 (2") and 49-36-0805 (3").

Do you feel like this is a good option for buffing on a motorcycle? Lots of rounded edges and curves and smaller areas on a motorcycle. Thanks

My M12 Fuel drill runs at 1700 rpm. I don’t expect to need to do any sanding. Is there really much benefit to this? I’ve been trying to get my 6” DA polisher into some narrow spaces and was thinking something smaller might help. (I’ve got an oscillating multi-tool that works well enough for my sanding needs)

Ya I don't use this much for sanding primarily I use it for Polishing. I also used to use my drill but I use my drill often so I got tired of swapping my drill bit and the buffing wheel. This just made it alot easier and faster for me

@@TonyTheTechnician Thanks! Very helpful answer. I don’t use my drill that often. Also, I’m an amateur and it usually takes me awhile to figure out what to do. So swapping drill bits is no big deal since it’ll take me longer to assemble my kit and double check I’m doing things the right way etc. I’m gonna happily put off buying a polisher like this and use my drill until I am doing this often enough to notice any problems :)

I think it is too fast, and slings off compound too easily.
@TonyTheTechnician
@TonyTheTechnician Год назад
Sit has a variable speed trigger so you either need to slow down or use less compound
