Hey Mihai! I just wanted to say that your toolchanger project has led me to design my own toolchanger. The idea for mine is that the frames can be modularly stacked (hence the name Stack'D). The prototype is going to be a 500MM^3 printing surface, with klipper, input shaping, an enclosure, and the motion head system.

Dude this tool changer has to be the most popular of your projects! I'd love to see more! Are you seeking any help with distribution/sourcing all materials that can't be printed?

Thanks! For now I'm just focusing on prototyping and improvements. The sourcing and distribution will be a challenge for sure once I have a couple well working builds.

Hi, awesome project. I have a suggestion: Heated Chambers, both for filament section tu dry them and also for the printing area, i was thinking in using a heatbed with a big heatsink and a few fans, thus way we can fine tune the temperature. To keep the heat in you could use some special plastic adhesives that let you see in or even a 2 way mirror.

New to your content - This is looking super tidy. Wish you luck! I came after looking for an alternative/better design/system approach to the PrusaXL. I absolutely love the thought you've put into achieving a CNC-Mill style tool library & function.

are you planning to do some trickery to account for different gear pressure for flexible fillaments?
@TuneYourGarage
@TuneYourGarage 8 месяцев назад
Hey, you are using a tubeaxial fan for part cooling and a blower fan for heatsink cooling, this is basically the exact opposite of most setups. I understand the blower fan has to be used to create high pressure air because the air duct for the heatsink is small but have you experimented with using the tubeaxial fan for part cooling vs dual 5015 blowers or similar or did you just go with this because it fit nicely? I love this build and im excited to see future updates! Greetings from germany :)

I love this project! I can’t wait to see it running. How many motors are in it? What board has that many drivers. From what I can see there is more than 8 so the octopus doesn’t work and it’s the best I’ve seen. Love your content. Have an amazing day!

I never understood why people put the runout sensor on the tool head…. You can get the filament out now without stopping and taking out of the tool head. It needs to be farther away so you don’t physically have to touch the tool head
@WickityWack
@WickityWack 8 месяцев назад
There are tons of reasons, a big one being mmu. This one, he does it so he can have one instead of a sensor on every single spool
