Hi Sherrie, loved your video today…you always bring joy and laughter to my day with your great stories and lovely stitching. I’m stitching ‘Liberty’s Welcome’ at the present time in honor of my husband’s military service and recently finished a Christmas whip from 1984!!! It is a great Santa with toys in his bag and he’s heading down the chimney to deliver his gifts to a very good little boy or girl. Love to stitch and really love your channel Sherrie. Thank you for sharing your time, joy, stories, and stitching. Be well! 🥰
Oh Sherri, I am so glad you decided to have a channel, you are the best tonic in the world, thanks for making me laugh and for keeping me company this afternoon, lovely stitching and finishing. I haven’t even thought about Christmas yet, I this year I am definitely starting my shopping early. Have a good one.
Oh Sherrie, your daughter hahahaha - so very funny - the things they do right. Love your finishes and progress on the others, you keep me inspired to get on with the stitching Ive started so look forward to your shows. Have a wonderful week xx
I’m so glad I’ve had time to catch up on this. I’ve had to hold my laughter back so much! Surfy Turtle is her official name now 🐢🤣 and it was me who did the spooky top loading bag! 😁
Always absolutely love watching your video's. You never fail to make me smile, your a real tonic. Love seeing all your stitching progress. Christmas will be here before we know, this year is going so quickly Happy stitching 😊❤
Sherrie believe me it’s not just you I have plenty of opps moments too. Just this week I sprained my ankle and I only have a week of work left. Your pieces are looking amazing love the cat piece and how you made it yours. Your daughter and parents sounds amazing. The bond they must have for her to do that. Thank you for always being real. Watched you from the start and I’ll never not watch. Christmas.
Aww Just sew Sherrie!! Love 💕 ur videos!! I think ur being too hard on ur self with the sister quakers,.,they are GORGEOUS!! U know Christmas is my favorite holiday, but I’m like u, I could stitch fall forever!!! See u next time!!
Love your podcasts Sherrie, your stories are always so entertaining, your sister quakers look lovely, I would be proud of them, time to start some Christmas stitching ❤
Hi Sherrie, I live in Ontario Canada and always enjoy your videos so much! You are my must watch on the weekend! Lol! I even got my mom hooked and watching your videos too! I love hearing your stories of the week! I haven’t worked on any Christmas projects yet but they are definitely on my mind, I can’t believe we are done the first 1/2 of the year! 😳 I hope you have a great week and I can’t wait until your next video! ❤
Another great video - you never disappoint. My husband, who is a farmer, has been caught at airport security more times than I care to think about, carrying his Swiss Army knife. Never been arrested mind you, so Courtney beats him with that! His have just been confiscated. The Sisters look fabulous. Christmas is definitely my favourite time of the year and I stitch it all year round. Thanks for the fun, take care and happy stitching.
Quaker sisters are amazing, put on the wall and admire all your hard work, Poor mum…letting the cat out the bag lol, I hope one day will get to meet your daughter, maybe she will be home for Christmas ?
Sherri, you had me cracking up from the start!!! When I was a girl, I really wanted to play the saxophone. My Daddy was adamant that “girls don’t play the saxophone” and would only agree to the flute…which I played through middle and high school. Fast forward to having a daughter of my own and she wanted to play the clarinet. That brought up the conversation with Daddy and I reminded him about his comment. He says, “ah hell Jenni, I figured you weren’t going to stick with it, and a flute was ALOT cheaper!!!! 😂😂😂 And then your daughter getting arrested. My son was in his senior year of high school and was sitting in his truck before school started one day. He gets out of his truck when he sees the school resource officer walking towards him. The SRO says, “I saw what you were doing….you were vaping. I need to look in your truck.” Of course he lets him (naive little thing he was) and the SRO digs around in his truck door and pulls out his vape like a trophy. My boy baby, being the country bunkin his is informs the officer it’s his duck call!! He was gonna be hunting that Saturday and was practicing his call.😂😂
Quaker Sisters look gorgeous. I only saw the carried threads when you mentioned them, I'd not noticed before. They will look great hanging up. What a cute little Christmas design and you have bought some lovely Halloween things too. Love the arrest story, sounds just like the sort of thing I'd have done back in the day! I can't wait for the report of your discussion with her 😂😂
Hiya Sherrie, I have been watching you from the start, I thought I had subscribed, but I hadn't , I have now 😊. I love your channel, and I am so glad I know someone a lot like me, you do brighten my day. I do not stitch samplers, so I watch your channel for you.
Love the kitty quaker. Must look for a dog one. My daughter was on a solo trip from US to UK in maybe 1976. She carried a small pepper spray in her backpack. No problem US to UK, 3 weeks around UK & Germany traveling. Leaving UK to US, she was detained for several hours, interrogated, and missed her flight. One never knows what might happen.
Really enjoying the weekly flosstube hope you keep them. I’m stitching on Pomegranate Santa for my Christmas in July stitch. Love your colours for the sister stitch 🥰
Your Cat Lovers finish is absolutely gorgeous. Love the colors and love your backing fabric to make it into a pillow. The Boo cat looks so good! Pretty Bird is so pretty. I have that chart, and I need to get it started. Ooohh, that patchwork project bag is gorgeous. I love blue, so that’s ticking the box. I need to stitch my Christmas ornaments for our local exchange. Take care and happy stitching!
Another great Flosstube Sherrie! Laugh a minute! The months are racing on and before we know where we are it will be Christmas! What a shame we didn’t ‘bring it home’ but maybe next time. Take care xxx
I really look forward to Christmas in July. I love stitching Christmas it’s one of my favourite holidays. Look forward to your next video until then happy stitching 🪡😊
Yet again you made me giggle. So wanted to win pretty bird, but just not to be so I thought do a sherrie and and treat yourself to it and yay it’s on it’s way! so Thankyou for showing this pattern.
Another great video. Your sisters came out great. You would never notice anything until you pointed it out. I am about to finish one of my Christmas projects. I am with you. I love Halloween and Autumn projects too but the Bothy threads Christmas kit is just wonderful.
Aww I’m so glad your Mum inspected your dads clothing choices, we all know what men are like, love the cats lovers piece and it would be super cute as a cushion, oh dear your poor daughter, but so glad she got sorted, I have already started to buy a few things for Christmas …..sssssh don’t tell the other half 🤫
Hi Sherri, loving the one legged glasses, my Dad had a pair like that for years, he only used when he was working out the garage, maybe Santa will bring you a new pair for Christmas 🎅
Your quaker sisters look amazing, well worth framing so beautifully! I know you say there are things you aren't happy with and I've been the same with my stitching but it is a journey of learning and I can't remember who on Flosstube said that we should be proud of this and showcase our work. You made me laugh re: new glasses vs stitching stuff, that's me too, my glasses are so scratched but I bought myself a Bisley 5-drawer to organise my DMC instead of glasses this month 🤣. The Christmas kit and needle minder is a cute bundle. 💗
So glad you’re feeling great and the dr recommendations aren’t too drastic. I need to follow those directions too. I would like to stitch the Christmas reindeer and have fun with their antics.
Great video as always.Love the cat lovers it will make a great cushion.I think that's what I'm going to do I have so many finished cross st running out of wall space. Christmas ❤
Lovely to see you again! Enjoyed the story about your daughter! One of my most precious gifts was from my dad, and it was a pocket knife. He had six daughters and he felt every girl needed one! Your stitching is beautiful and your framed pieces are perfect. My framer is from England and one thing that she does is that when framing white fabric with black stitching, she will use black foam core so the carrys don't show. Just a thought. Looking forward to seeing you again!
I really must remember not to take a drink whilst watching you! Soo funny. Beautiful stitching and lovely gifts. I would love to stay in that old sanatorium. Road trip Sherrie? Christmas
Good evening Sherri lass, after a hard day meeting my cousin for coffee and shopping lol,I came home to see you had another video, Fabulous says me !!! so I sat down, feet up and throughly enjoyed watching, love the sisters but I feel your pain about the thread being carried, Pretty bird is stunning, I bet when you start on the bird you won’t want to put it down even if it takes you to Christmas to finish…..of course won’t your needles are on fire.
I just adore your Boo Cat, aren’t those little booties the cutest thing, I have list ready and waiting for Rachel @talking dog stitcher, I think I am adding to it every week, I love your colour choices of fabric, I am very vanilla so that has to change, Christmas……Sherri are talking Christmas already…..have a word with yourself girl Summer hasn’t even arrived yet.
Morning Sherrie, After a stunningly gorgeous sunny day yesterday, we have woke up to a cloudy day although the temp is supposed to be 19 the wind is making it feel a lot colder, I just wish we could get a few weeks we could call Summer, anyhow, love A Burnhope, but that border would just overwhelm me, I think Michelle @mommalovesyougb is such a talent lady, and your hero, love your super cute black & white bumble bee, Sorry football didn’t come home 😢…love love love that Christmas design so fingers crossed 🤞
There are so many things I want to say to you throughout your Flosstube but by the time I get to the end I have bloody forgotten them all! Anyway - maybe I will remember by next week when I will finally get to catch up with you at Big Stitch! See you there!!! xxx
That "Introverted Bat" pattern made me laugh, so I looked for it on Etsy. The shop is "Monsterous Designs" and the pattern is available as a PDF. Its a fun shop! Thanks as usual for influencing me!
I once got a potato peeler confiscated. I did a lot of moving around with the Army, and it was a brilliant potato peeler. What can I say 🤷. I'm busy stitching Red Christmas by Jardin Privé for Jolly July and loving it. Have a lovely stitchy week 😊
As I write this my husband and youngest son is watching the game. They both want the english team win. I have got my pattern that I won in giveaway. Thank you, thank you. It was lovely, and I will start it when we return from Denmark. Our destiny for the holiday. Youngest granddaugther, youngest son and my husband and I. Hope you have a great summer too. Christmas
Ohhh Sherry that’s so funny your daughter must of been shocked 😳 I was worried about my mini scissors when we went to America last year 😅 but an Swiss Army knife 😂😂 love Christmas x
Well the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree……..that’s all I’m saying about that, love the bird, I didn’t know there were so many different patterns, I have stitched sewing bird ( probably not called that) love Boo Cat and I have him on my Christmas list, take care and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, as you know we can get all four seasons in the day…no problem
Love your update and all the finishes. Swiss Army Knives - wow - hopefully your daughter won't be blacklisted for future visits to Germany!!!! I particularly love the Jardin Prive Cat Lovers even though I'm not a cat lover 🙊 I was hoping to see your review of the power bank. I'd had a look at them as sort of need one myself in time for the Big Stitch and don't know where to start. Love your new starts and all your stitchy gifts x
I think we've all realised too late that we've overlooked a carried thread so commiserations Sherrie! With low clouds and cool temperatures, rain and shortening daylight hours Christmas will come far too soon😮. My mum always began her Christmas shopping in the August 'Sales' when we stayed for a week's holiday with relatives in Scarborough. You'll be buying your pressies (for Sherrie!) then on Retreat😊 The cats Quaker finish looks lovely- are there tiny birds on the fabric you plan to use for your cushion backing?
Love your flosstube, I’m stitching a SAL for Christmas in July. I have a second tree at Christmas just for my cross stitch, and have a lot of stitched items to decorate my favourite season.
Oh your cat lover looks great! Oh you make me laugh. Been so busy with appointments and all are an hr away and then hr back so takes entire day, 3 days this week, 2 last. Hopefully we are done till mid August.
@@justsewsherrie thanks yes wasn’t anything major, just hearingaid checks, and complain loudly to my dr (who I am lucky to have many many many don’t have a dr here) about my hip which upon lol trying to break my hip it felt like he put in another referral to the surgeon
Too funny! My hubby was carrying his new Swiss Army Knife while we were on vacation in California. It was taken from him. He was not happy. His was a small version...
Been watching back over your last few videos and loving all the stitching and the stories 😄 I am very much enjoying Halloween stitching too! Also doing HSC Happy Halloween SAL. Loving all your gifts to yourself and I've been unable to resist the lure of Talking Dog Stitchery as well...twice 😂 I've just started Christmas Rules but from the bottom so we might meet in the middle 😂 Love watching you and you are such an inspiration for my own RU-vid channel 💜
Hey Sherrie liked your twin sisters finished. I like Christmas too. I also liked the things you are stitching. I am trying my first hard from heaven and earth designs it's 1 fabric thread over 2 threads. I thought it was 2 over 2 but when I read the instructions it's 1 over '2 I just have to get used to it alot of color changes. There is 80 colors in the piece.
The sisters came out beautifully! We all do the carrying thing, don’t beat yourself up too much.😊 I’ve also discovered that I love a good marking sampler, like you I never thought I would. Small retreats are the best! I go to one every fall, just 25 of us, but we have a great time!
I just love Christmas and penguins are my favorite animal! My husband always carries a knife with him. He was on a trip to the US Mint with my son and his boy scout troop and forgot to leave his knife in the car. So he got told to bring his knife back to the car, which was a pretty long walk to get back to! He always is made fun of for forgetting that he has his knife! lol!
When you showed your Xmas garden by Blackbird, my heart just stopped. I should start my Christmas stitching ASAP, I have all kitted up, why on earth am I not working on that one? :)
Lovely to see you again today just what I needed today so thank you, Oh not long until Christmas now! I love that kit and needle minder. Please can you give me a shout out next week so my channel can grow, love from Lindsey xxx
Sherri , yet again I can sympathise with just so Sherri, ( even though technically it’s just so Courtney) but when we were young and adventurous, we went camping in Amsterdam………you know where this story is going, don’t you? Any way our flight home wasn’t until the evening , so you could leave your backpack (in our case, no pun intended) in the train station, which we did and went off to enjoy our last few hours in the city, anyhow our flight was diverted to Birmingham can’t remember why, and we were stopped at customs, anything to declare….No,….well the sniffer dogs had singled out our backpack because obviously it reeked of you know what, anyway many many hours later we were released and of course missed the last flight to Belfast and we had to ring my father in law to was supposed to collect us, “ what happen to you lad he says “ did you get arrested or something” …..well actually yeah….. Christmas.
Great viewing as always, just soooo funny 😂 love how your pretty bird is coming along, it’s in my pile to start 😉 I haven’t done Christmas in July due to circumstances which I’m disappointed with but planning on starting some Halloween in August 👻👻👻
