Toonami - Pardon Our Dust (1080p HD) 

My god, Toonami truly was the absolute coolest thing in the world. We were spoiled back then. Had NO idea how good we had it.

I think the part of Toonami people missed the most was their ability to get us excited for their shows. I really hope the guys who put these promos together went on to be very successful.

DBZ and Gundam Wing were easily the two defining shows on Toonami, each setting the standard for all subsequent anime on the block. Of course Voltron, Robotech, Sailor Moon and Ronin Warriors helped contribute to that as well during Toonami's first couple years.

Toonami dominated the 2000s. If you are millenial between 25 and 40 chances are you grew up watching this stuff every day. Good times back then much more sane times.

So much action...so much explosion...so much death...so much adrenaline...so...much...nostalgia...

Pretty much. I went through every show used in this to find all the clips (except the very last one). And I placed the new clips over the original video frame by frame. For a longer video like this, gathering all the clips can take a while. I had to find around 75 different clips from the shows to put this together.

No matter how many times I watched this promo when I was kid, that last scene always gave me a very cold shiver down my spine and a massive amount of goosebumps (and still does)! So AWESOME, oh and um....ONLY TOONAMI!!!

More violence in two minutes than would be allowed in two years on kid's TV today. We really had it good, didn't we?

MAN I wish I could go back. Even if only for one night to relive all this again for the first time. Getting out of school and rushing home to turn this on to see what happened after the previous episodes of Gundam Wing, Dragon Ball Z, & Ronin Warriors. Sitting down with some dinner my mom made. Then hopping on the Nintendo afterwards and playing some Mario and Star Fox. Those were the days. No bills to pay. No work deadlines to worry about all night. Blissfully unaware of all the bad in the world that was going on and about to unfold.

Man so many sleepovers where we would watch Toonami and then they would have a DBZ movie or something else later in the night. 90's and early 2000's were so great!

When i was younger i would get so excited right when i heard the music start playing for this Promo. I would stop what i was doing and move right in front of the TV. Every part of this and all the other promos, bumpers, and intros are imprinted in my brain forever. Nothing will ever top Toonami.

I fucking loved this promo back in the day. Damn!

Toonami after Tom became the icon, and only when it had great iconic shows, truly solidified itself as a timeless classic. Anime really gave a lot of people's lives purpose.

let us praise the person behind the music.. with a cornucopia of samples too choose from.. they were truly a master of their craft..

The team that was making these vids were on fucking fire back in the day, every toonami promo was a certified banger growing up.

I remember as a kid coming home from school and being able to watch Gundam Wing followed by Dragonball Z and Outlaw Star. Toonami defined by childhood.

I remember seeing ReBoot, DBZ, and Gundam Wing in 5th grade, Sailor Moon and Ronin Warriors in 6th. Now THAT was a line up.

Many years later, Dragon Ball Z is still getting the most ratings for the block. Granted, it's Dragon Ball Kai now, but still, it's kinda funny to think about that.

I think a belief held in common by a lot of animators in the current industry is that there's nothing really Innovative or revolutionary going on like there was in the early 2000s. The core reason Toonami was so successful and cool was because there was nothing else like it in the animations that they had been able to amass, you could only see them on Cartoon Network. There were other channels that had similar cartoons, but nothing like the Japanese animations that were specifically being shown on cartoon network. There hasn't been anything Innovative or hip or cool like this in the last decade and the market is stagnating. Nothing's changing, there's no new animation style coming out, everything's relatively the same and because of that, viewers are starting to notice.

I Love This Guy he takes his time and actually remasters every bit of toonami promos from the old days. to very crisp HD. i reward you for that slim and hopefully others as well.

Thank you so much for doing this. I know it's gotta be hard to go through all those different DVD/BD's and pull each short clip to make these. Just know that there are a lot of us who truly appreciate the effort you put into remastering our childhood. :)

Great upload, haven't seen this in forever and to see it in HD. If cartoon network wanted great ratings all they have to do is re-air the original toonami. Children will love it along with young adults.

Hey Slim I think that last clip is from Trigun (one of my all time favorite animes).. lol idk if u remember me yet, im subscribe to all your channels and comment quite often about how we seem to have th EXACT same taste and nostalgia...I'm 24 (going to be 25 May 1st) and if I had to guess I'd have to say we are probably close in age lol, considering the way Toonami impacted us and helped us become the people we are today
