I love this because it has the same emotional roller-coaster as cotton-eye-joe (if you don't know its about stds). You show it to a friend and they say: "this sounds epic, whats it from?" and you have the utter delight to say: "its from a game made for children from the early 2000s" . This is the glory of fans growing up.
I'm hearing people say doomsday is more like the end than the beginning, let me explain why this was doomsday. Before the cogs, toontown was a lovely place full of excitement and happiness. The streets filled with toontastic music and happy shop - owners! However, One day it was decided that toontown needed a Mayor. So, the presidential elections took place! On the final day, Slappy was claimed the winner of the elections! Woohoo! But wait, what's this? Music stops, And a lonely robot floats down into the election area. Toons were bewildered, and seemed happy to greet this new visitor to town. The robot had other intentions. The robot had given Slappy some "Positive Reinforcement", Which took him to an unknown location! Flippy was about to be taken to, but he pulled out a pie and declared war! The now named cog was destroyed. The sky turned black, and waves upon waves of sadness and despair rained down upon toons. The toons decided to fight back with everything they had!
Wrong, first off, there were cogs roaming the streets before the elections, right? I didn't play before the elections so I don't know. Second, according to the old Toontown download intro, the cogs started when Scrooge Mcduck went to Gyro Gearloose's lab and found a robot, probably the Chairman, which he activated (but it was evil because he connected the wrong wires) then the robot created all of the other cogs.
@@undividual3891 I know i'm late to the party, but i have another thing to follow what you said: After the cogs were made, they flew off to Toontown in the same day of the election.
@@undividual3891 wrong about the flash video part jesse schell himself said that that video is nothing else than just a little fun video to watch while the game downloads, so its not lore
My ears cannot fully process how good this song is plain wear headphones on full volume while listening to this this would make a great final boss theme
Petition to make a Toontown orchestrated concert with this song, the fireworks theme, the playgrounds, the battle themes... "Pokemon Symphonic Evolutions" style.
This sounds b-e-a-utiful. Not trying to start flame wars or anything, but compare this music to Toontown Infinite music. There's a huge difference of quality.
Hey! Great Tune! May I use this music for a comeback piece for my toon? as ive been away and not been unable to make videos! :( Only if thats okay with you :)
+smoke600 I say this should this play during the first phase of the fight, and this guy's orchestration of the setup program music for the second phase after he reveals his true form to the toons.
Doomsday means the end. Why is it played at the beginning? This is the song I would staple on the end of toontown. The downfall. Don't get me wrong, it suited the elections well, but this seems more like a finale then the beginning. It should have at least been named differently.
Could I get sheet music for EVERY PART? I'm considering presenting this piece to my orchestral band for performance, but they won't even consider it without sheet music.
YorkeTheMouse I'll have them take a listen first before asking such a task of you. If there turns out to be interest, would you be willing to do this? And would it be okay for it to be performed live?
Chuggaaconroysson I'd be more than happy to clean it up if they're interested, though I'd ask Cool Peaches for her permission as well as she wrote the original.
