You are kind of a hot mess and I love it! you are a REAL crafter...like the rest of us! I much prefer your video to the ultra slick ones! Thanks for this!
You make this look so fun. I do crochet so this seems easy for me. I have never tried to make rugs but do plan on trying one. Good job explaining how to do this😀
Just came across your video. This was just what I needed to make a rug to use by me cooker. Just need to procure some old sheets. Loved it. Thank you. Looking forward to more videos.
I love this! The only suggestion I would have is to try to video it the right way up. Trying to follow sideways was difficult. Thank you so so so very much!
My grandmother here in Texas taught me that if your saftey pins aregetting a bit hard to push through, if you just run the sticky/pointy part through your hair a couple times, it becmes easy as sticking it in butter. She was talking about diaper pins but it works for any pin or needle. Also, if you trim your hair and use it when you make a pin cushion, the pins don't rust. I made one when pregnant with my first child in '78, olden days😉, and over time it got put up and forgotten. After 20 + years I came across it and everything was like brand new, no rust at all.
I have been thinking about making these rugs, so glad I've come across your video! Your instruction is wonderful and your rugs are lovely! Thank you! I hope to see more from you.
I have been looking for a tutorial for making this kind of rug for about a year and I have finally found one that I can understand!!! THANK YOU!!! I am excited to get started....guess what everyone is getting for Christmas. haha
So glad you liked our post. Carly took me completely unaware, I did not know that she would be filming as soon as she had mentioned making a You Tube tutorial! It was completely unrehearsed as you can probably tell. I have been making these rugs for a while now. It is great to find a project that you can do without having to buy expensive equipment. Of course, you also get to upcycle all of your fabrics that might otherwise have been thrown away. Hope you have lots of fun making your rug and please send us a picture of the finished article. Lots of love, Diane x
Thank you for the video. You will do well. I did have trouble watching with camera sideways. It’s all new right now. I’ve always asked a lot of questions also, but it is a little overwhelming. Don’t give up, keep them coming,
I make knots to start off! I learned with White house Whimies and Rugs. She used a Nice rugs though! I love making these rugs! Have a great day! Bulletin board tobe pin too!
Is the first time that I look your videos. I love the way you explain and the other guy. I subscribe today and I hope that I will enjoy all your videos. Thank you and bless both.
This is the first time I've come across your channel and you've enchanted me. You are so sweet and I love that your video hasn't been edited to bits. It feels like I'm right across the table from you instead of across the pond! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
It would be helpful if you could video it from the crafters angle. Trying to work out which piece of fabric goes through where is no easy . This is important ... Especially from the beginning. Where you move the camera behind your mum, is very easy to follow. Could you do one from this angle to show the beginning of the rug? This would be very helpful. Thank you. I so want to be able to do these as they are beautiful, very shabby chic!!👍
Thankyou both for making this video ..felt like I was there with you. Such a Warmth from you both Ty..best video on making rugs too! Both made it very easy to understand. Cannot wait to see what your making next..stay safe xx
Love your video's, cute rugs. I have 24 grandchildren and Always looking for something fun to make! Is there a guide or plan to figure how much fabric you will need? Nothing worse than not enough 😢. Cant wait to make one😊
I agree with Zoe, Try and put the video the right way up. . was finding myself turning sideways to try and see what you were doing! lol. . .Would have been a GREAT video, otherwise! :)
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments 🥰🥰 we are hoping to get some time away from the shop soon to be able to bring more videos....what would you like to see next??
Hi Carmen. I have used flannel sheets in the past but they do not work as well as thinner cotton as they then to be more bulky and don’t pull through so easily. Try both and see what you think. Hope you have fun and please let us see what you make. Diane xx
Sorry this was a raw first attempt at you tube....ipad error and unedited 🤣😅 dont know why comes across as left handed as Diane is right handed....Next video won't be done on an ipad so hopefully will be better and easier to edit. Thanks for watching 😁
Why do you need to be so rude. If you can't understand learn to just scroll and roll. Obviously these ladies did not realize it was filming sideways and decided it was better to post as is then not at all. Geez chill out.
