After 9 months, Flamewall is finally finished. Thanks to everyone who managed to pull through and get the level done in 2.1!
I'd like to address a couple of things real quick:
For those who don't know, RicoLP has stopped hosting this level. In fact, he dropped out all the way back in February. This allowed the hosts and the creators to focus more on the quality of the level rather than focus on releasing it as soon as humanly possible.
For those of you who have had a bad experience with the level as a result of Rico's hosting, I apologize on behalf of the Flamewall team. I hope that you can view the level differently now that it's been settled.
Additionally, the level is no longer an open verification, as the host has chosen a verifier (which so happens to be ME but I'll get there.)
This level was a journey from start to finish, for a 6:46 level, the level was split into 54 parts, for gameplay and decoration. Combining this with part upgraders and optimizers, Flamewall may be the biggest extreme demon megacollab in the game's history (measured by the number of people who worked on it).
As far as the gameplay goes, playing the layout was something special. I was suprised at how fun it was, to be honest, considering Sinister Silence wasn't anything special. This is leagues above that in quality, but also difficulty.
I currently find this level to be harder than Acheron. I don't know how this compares to Tidal Wave (but it's not rated yet so I can advertise it as a Top 1!) The base gameplay is definitely easier than anything in the Top 10 sans Codependence, but the fact that you have to keep your cool for SEVEN MINUTES will all but certainly make this the biggest nerve test in the game. And that's not saying the gameplay is easy; it's potentially main list gameplay for 7 minutes. The level is definitely harder than it looks.
I'm honored to be verifying this. I think that this has the potential to be the best Top 10 right now with how it plays. I generally don't find any part to be particularly frustrating (hopefully that doesn't change.)
For something that could end up being my final hardest depending on how long this takes me, I'm proud that this will be how I shoot for the stars. I will be streaming this very frequently on my Twitch channel: / onealphahelix
