Oh man Bell Witch def. needs to be on CD.. it is a long listen. I had one on wax but could never get to like Side 3.. That Harms Way looks interesting going to check it out. That Frozen Sould does kick ass - very catchy! Made my top 10 as well. I like short albums too. Great list man love the mix of genres!
I find it funny how metal bands are categorized. "Funeral doom metal" just kind of paints the picture. You also mention death metal, grindcore, hard-core, thrash, I'm not knocking metal, but I dont listen to it and the description are very on the nose. I do like ambient music. Sounds like I'll have to check out that Pony album. I've been on the fringe with Wilco and you sold me on it. Man I havent listened to Nickel Creek in about a decade.
Yeah, I bought a lot more new releases on CD this year as well, fuck $50 vinyl. Yeah, hip hop is in a bad spot right now, sad that the 50th anniversary came at such a down time. I am going to order ITS real soon. The Nicole Dollanganger is up my alley, thanks for the tip. It has been a long time since I listened to anything from Nickel Creek.
