Yeah, but he was defeated very easily in some X men movies, in X men future past one of the Sentinel robots used a fire element power to weaken Iceman and was broken brutally when trying save the other X men members🧊🥶.

Ice man and Colossus was done dirty in X men days of future, the Sentinel robots somehow defeated them easily by copying their powers and used a different element to destroy them almost instantly🧲🧊.
The best thing about the Pyro rivalry in the movies / some early comics is, now in the Krakoa era it's **very** strongly intimated that they're a couple, or at least sleeping together. I'm not sure it's ever _explicitly_ stated outright, but there are a ton of scenes that communicate that fact, particularly in the first post-Krakoa volume of _Marauders_ where they're both on the team. Guess it's true what they say about love & hate.
X men days of Future past had a lot of likable characters died in the events of the film, those Sentinel robots looked very overpowered by copying thier abilities and using against the members of the X men including Iceman🧊🧊.
