I actually wanted to mention that. You see him as a kid but at that very moment it took my breath away. I realized "Holy shit, he is an absolute beast." Aang is literally looking *down* on Ozai. One of my favorite moments for sure.

BallOnEm PBS Azula is the one who messed up the Agni Kai, not Katara. She’s the one who targeted Katara, who wasn’t even in the fight. This forced Katara to attack Azula.

I agree. It is unmatched in its versatility in entertaining kids, teaching lessons, keeping adults interested, making people laugh, making people cry, and so much more. I can't tell you how many times I have rewatched this.

@Ish I love Avatar. It was such a good show of good vs evil and addressed so much. But the thing that I absolutely love about Korra is how it shows that the bad guys are not so bad. They did bad things but their intentions were not so black and white and often times made you sympathize with them. I think Avatar was an amazing show and Korra pushed it even further. That is just my opinion.

Funny, I am also 16 and rewatching the series on Netflix. It was my favorite tv show then and now I am older I can understand some things better that I couldn't as a child.

@Ish Korra is a pretty good show but it suffered because Nickolodeon wanted a more episodic series versus the more serial nature of the first show. So the story doesn't flow as well as the original series and the stakes are lower overall in-terms of the plot. By the end of the show they didn't even actually air the last few episodes on TV, they did that online because it just didn't have the same level of following as the first series. A real shame. The show is pretty good but the characters aren't as well rounded as the first. Animation wise there, it upped the quality of the movement but imo the backdrop art is really sparse and drab for a lot of the first season of the show.

I know he died but what happened with Raava when Aang died? It was stated that if the avatar dies in the avatar state the reincarnation cycle stops. So I assume Raava just loses her connection with the spirit of the avatar. But later Aang is revived and even later on is able to reenter the avatar state and reincarnates. So Raava is still connected to Aang even after their connection was severed.

p4p #1 casual mma fan/mcgregor army general Alr buddy, I get it. I used to be in a similar mindset that you were in, even though I had essentially grown up on Avatar as a child. And after a break through my teen years and now my early 20s having watched enough TV to at least garner some validity with my opinion, I too didn’t take most cartoons all that seriously when put in the big leagues. But this show in particular man, has so much emotional depth and creativity woven into a real societal message relating to the cycle of war and it’s lasting effect on those perpetrating it and those that are effected. A show that revolves around the concept of identity crisis, and how one can either rediscover their own identity, or let this crisis turn into a greater darkness that consumes you. Killer soundtrack, Great animation, all-time Action scenes, Great world building, I mean truly I can go on and on. But generally that isn’t enough for people with “mature tastes” to be convinced, so I’ll end it off like this. I sort of unhealthily listen to what the critics have to say on issues, which is why I don’t really give the cartoon world much of a chance. However, I think it is worth noting that on IMDb, Avatar is the 4th highest rated SHOW (non-documentary) of all time. I’ve heard people complain that Breaking Bad has “too much family drama” and that the Wire is “too dry and boring some seasons” but I don’t think I’ve ever heard people call Avatar “too kiddy.” Even if you disagree, my take is not as laughable as you think my friend.

I don’t remember how the scene played out exactly but I remember it gave me chills

The reason why Nick couldn't show his death was because it was a kid's show. So creators had to create a scene when Toph confirms his death by saying "He's lying" and he told Katara he'd be ok

That was a great and heartbreaking battle. The fact that Zuko gave his life for Katara really makes you appreciate Zuko a lot more. From sworn enemy to amazing friend.

TLoK wasn't that bad. Season 1 was pretty good. But, then, they made a HUGE mistake by disconnecting it to the past Avatars.

Some things about the universe only God truly knows (the secrets of the universe). The Definition of Hell is being seperate from God cause he is the only source of goodness (God is love ) hell was made for satan and his demons not humans. Your soul is eternal and their is only two places to spend your eternity with God or without God..other secrets like only a free being can truly love him. Who can accept him or not . Only he knows why he placed us in different times and generations..In the book of revelation when the resurrected wicked world does its final attack as Satan as its commander to the city of New Jerusalem . God will mystically reveal to every human being in existence that he is a Holy, Just and Merciful God. And they will be no doubt about it..The bible says the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Humbly repent and trust Jesus for your salvation he will reveal himself to you (He is hidden like a treasure cause he wants to be your treasure) and you will be saved..jesus loves you❤️.
