As great as this show's character development was, these are the "Avatar" characters who deserved better. For this list, we’ll be looking at characters from “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra” who didn’t get enough screen time, died too soon, or could’ve used more development. That movie was one of the most boring thing I have ever seen. Worst film of 2010. If you want to see a good movie, watch Prince of Persia: The sands of Time. It's fun, it's got good acting, and is a cool adventure with a good theme about destiny. Much better than this trash of a film. Also: Jake Gyllenhaal and Ben Kingsley are in it. That's a double win.

Combustión Man was a cold hearted Bounty hunter, even when Zuko demand him to stop he still wanted to kill the gang like if he had some personal Vendetta agaist them. He didn't deserve better he Was just as evil as azula or ozai.

@@motor4X4kombat I'd have loved to have seen a bit more about combustionbending/combustionbenders in general. In the entirety of the Avatar TV universe we only ever see two of them.

@@SteveHarrellRally I have a theory that combustion bending is similar to magma bending. In that, it's a hybrid of 2 different bending styles. Bolin's parents were a firebender and an earthbender and he can use magma bending. Based on my theory, that means that Combustion Man had a firebending and an airbending parent.

Trigger BladeX I like the theory, but I don't think the timeline would work out, at least not the detail of one parent being an Airbender. Sozin killed the last of the Air Nomads (aside from Aang of course), so combustion man would have to have been born before the genocide to have an Air Nomad for a parent. After posting my original comment I did go to the Avatar Wiki in the hopes of learning more. It describes combustonbending as a form of telekinetic firebending that consists of channeling chi out of the forehead to superheat the air. I'd still be interested in a deeper dive into the the ability at some point.

Personally when bumi said he couldn’t be aang’s earthbending teacher I don’t think it was just his imprisonment and being part of the white lotus I think it was more if he taught aang then after all their years apart he only would be able to see aang as his old friend

Appa's Lost Days isn't an episode on a day in the life of Appa. It's an episode about Appa's journey and trauma when he was forced away from Aang and his friends.

10. I never really for the chance to like Princess Yue, as I was trying to figure out her deal. 9. Never was a fan of King Kuei. Ba Sing Seh has always been a mess. 8. Master Piandao is amazing! One of the best non-benders/fighters in the Avatar world. 7. I respected Long Feng as one of the few villains not from the Fire Nation. 6. Suki needed more screen time and respect! She was amazing! 5. King Bumi has been one of my favorite characters from his early appearances. He steals every scene. 4. Kya had an okay role. Didn't feel too strongly about her, but I acknowledge her importance. 3. Jet died WAY too soon after his redemption 2. Ursa was such an amazing character. Happy the comics did he justice. Kiyoshi is one of my favorite Avatars. Curious to know what happened to Guru Pathik. June was a great character. Roku was another great Avatar. 1. The Cabbage Merchant eventually got what he deserved in Legends of Korra.

Azula also deserved better, she, spent her whole life abused by her father (yes just like zuko she too was victim of Ozai's abuse just in a different way) lost all her friends, literally had a mental breakdown and never got closure with her mother.

I follow an Avatar group on fb and they immediately posted about it earlier today and fb is like my "morning newspaper" so it was the first thing I saw when I woke up and got on my phone. I haven't seen it say it officially anywhere, but I'm assuming all 4 seasons will be on there. My sis and I have all 4 seasons on DVD and my bf had never seen LoK so I was gonna pull them out of the box of my DVDs in my storage unit and watch th on one of our Xboxes, but now he said he'd rather just wait til it's on Netflix lmao

Jeong Jeong definitely deserved more screen time, they literally show him using only 3 moves: firewall, firespin to escape capture and creating the fire waves to push the tanks back. Definitely wanted to see alot more of him

Commander Zhao happens to be the only original character from the original to be in The Legend of Korra. We thought he died but ended up in the spirit realm to meet Aang’s kids as adults

I would've loved some more screentime of Hama, considering how she had been friends with Kanna, Sokka and Katara's grandmother, and how she deserves more backstory how she first met Kanna and became friends.

Hama is indirectly responsible for Kya's death. Before, they were just capturing water-benders, and almost suddenly they decided to kill on sight. What would've changed that? Perhaps the discovery that a water-bender prisoner escaped using blood-bending, effectively overpowering every guard regardless if they were a fire-bender or not. What if that knowledge was passed on to other benders, every water-bender seems to have that potential, it would've been too dangerous to keep them alive.

Also if this had been more about which characters have the saddest stories, I'm thinking Lee (the boy Zuko helped in the village), Teo & Haru are great additions too. I wanted to see Lee after discovering how Zuko turned around his life. And Teo & Haru's stories about the war hurting them are just devastating

If you think about it the way they did jets death was probably the best they could do in the confines of a kids show. Because of how jet actually got hit and died it was most likely from a mixture of a chest compression, broken bake and internal bleeding. Jet had a very painful and slow death if you think about it.

Is it safe to think that if they didnt try to make an avatar movie, that some of these character possibilities would've been put in the show? I learned that they made the movie somewhere between season 2 and 3 a couple days ago, the possibilities are endless! Jeez I love this show too much
