Thoroughly enjoyed your line ups. Amazing works. I can’t stop watching the singer from Peru and Anastasia from Bulgaria. Wim from Belgium is also a great one.
Ramiro Saavedra won his 2012 competition, and insofar as I can tell, he and his band, Olaf, are still quite active, performing mostly in Arequipa, Cuzco, and Lima, but unfortunately, not outside Perú (per Twitter, facebook, &c.).
I'm not a Phil Collins fan because, well, I lived through the overplay, but Nigel was really good. And that Wim, outstanding without even needing to push. Anastasia had the best voice of the women.
I enjoyed most of these but Anastasia is my favorite. I've lost track of how many times I've watched that. It's much better than her voice Russia performance but I think she is older here.
my favorite was Nigel Connell - In The Air Tonight - Phil Collins - Ireland and i am pretty sure paul stanley was lip syncing and Anastasia Belyavskaya looks a lot like sass jordan .. much love from hamilton ontario canada
Effie Passero's was certainly the best vocal performance --- perfection! --- but I'm afraid the 1950s-style day dress ruined it because of its poor visual effect. Pity. If you close your eyes and just listen, Miss Passero's "Barracuda" is a standout.
Sorry, but any fan of Ann Wilson would have skipped past it after a few lines. She hit several pitchy spots in the first thirty seconds. Listen to it without the watching it. I went back and listened to the rest of it and it really didn't get any better. I have honestly heard better in a karaoke bar.
