Why did I just say that same thing you said about Bruno Mars being an old soul today out to lunch with a girlfriend of mine! When he did the tribute to Prince after he died my broken heart melted! And THEN he sang “That’s What I Like,” I knew I had a super crush on this man!!! Fortunate, to see him in Vegas, his last performance in May and I laughed, I cried, and danced my ass off. Silk Sonic was even better in person. The energy was incredible! I want to see him again!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤

His guitar solo in the Prince tribute was ranked #1 by Billboard in 2017 Best Grammy Performances. Idgaf if Chris "can play", because Bruno is actually SKILLED in those instruments. And by the way, he plays 7. And he sometimes even plays the instruments in his actual songs (played the piano in When I Was Your Man, played the drums in Uptown Funk). Don't even disrespect Bruno, he's an actual instrumentalist that has the cosign of Chaka Khan and Sheila E themselves lmfaoo foh. Chris isn't touching Bruno, don't even try. I agree. I am an old hippie (in my 60's) and have seen a lot of musicians come and go. Bruno Mars has so many of the hallmarks of someone at the beginning of what will become a legend: 1) He is contemporary and also visionary 2) His music transcends type 3) His music is enjoyed by multiple age groups 4) We haven't yet seen him at his best so there is so much more to come 5) He is just plain fun but doesn't sacrifice skill for entertainment value.

His music has an old school influence but he manages to make it sound contemporary that millenials can still enjoy it. And he def has more room to improve, I can't wait to see him at his best.
