Razorback Baum Walker added nice seating in Right Field that adds to the feel. The crowd really makes this place. It is like a football game atmosphere. Also it is hard to get tickets, b/c they sell out every game.
0:48 This stadium used to be the home of the New York Yankees minor league affiliate - the Staten Island Yankees of the New York Penn League which has since become the Staten Island Ferryhawks of the independent Atlantic League. 1:53 This is not the D1 Rugters in New Brunswick, but rather it's Rutgers-Camden, a D3 program. Rutgers-Camden's ballpark used to be Campbell's Field, home of the Atlantic League's Camden Riversharks before it was demolished in 2019. 5:51 It's Point *Loma* University, a Division II school in San Diego, which competes in the PacWest Conference, a D2 league of private colleges in California and Hawaii. 7:17 The College World Series ballpark in Omaha became Charles Schwab Field in 2021 after Charles Schwab acquired TD Ameritrade. And, yes, Populus designed both Charles Schwab Field and Nats Park. Also, the minor league team in Omaha plays in a different stadium in suburban Papillion. 8:53 I believe it's pronounced 'Sway-ZEE" Field (similar to the late actor Patrick Swayze).
Where is Dudy Noble Field?????????? Fans around the entire outfield. Literal Lofts in left field. Owns 24 of the top 25 attendance records in college baseball history
Dude, you have to checkout Duty Noble Stadium, which holds the top on campus attendance record in college baseball. Also, the only college baseball stadium with barbecue grills from foul line-to-foul line just beyond the outfield fence; framed by a three story condo that is only rented out for Mississippi State baseball games.
Baum Walker Stadium is the best college stadium and its not close. Also the best atmosphere. Can't beat 12,000 calling the hogs! And no one else has anything like the HOG PEN! WPS!
Was at Baum Walker yesterday (and weekend) for an Arkansas victory, again! Atmosphere is crazy. Correct that tickets are difficult to come by. Got to know somebody. The new Hunt Development Center that encompasses the other side of the right field fence is a huge recruiting tool. Adds seats, but for the players and staff, it’s awesome. Tunnel from there to the home team 1st base dugout. How cool is that? Also agree with other comments that this list is mostly about the “look” of the surrounding scenery, not the atmosphere. And there are some beautiful scenes, but ….. SEC baseball, and of late, SEC softball, is hard to beat. This weekend also concluded the SEC softball tourney in Fayetteville on the U of A campus (Bogle Field).
You may want to consider a "nice views" list and a "great stadium" list. The best stadium in college baseball is Mississippi State's Dudy Noble Field, and, frankly, it's not even close. MSU recently broke their own on-campus attendance record with 16,423...a total several major league teams would like to see. The Left Field Lounge & Lofts create an atmosphere unmatched in college baseball. Baseball America described the Dude as "one of the iconic stadiums in college baseball." Just thought you'd like to know. Enjoy your videos. Hail State!
@@dewaynestandridge I’ve been to both. Dudy Noble is better. It’s truly a triple A minor league baseball stadium on a college campus. The fans are close to the field. How engaged the fans are even in the outfield as compared to the hog pen. You can actually move around the stadium with alcohol. The roar at the Dude feels different than a Baum.
@@jsmoove1522 I have talked to people that have been to both and have the opposite opinion, the dude is bigger yes but not better. Nothing the Dude has beats the Hog Pen.
I played at Rutgers Camden it’s a D3… I played there when it was still cambells field pretty sure the picture you used from the bridge 2:21 was the old stadium. They knocked all that down and now it has an unobstructed view of the bridge and Philly skyline I think it looks way better now
Agree. The new field has an amazing view of the bridge and Philly. My son just had a clinic there and will be applying in 2025. The water front and campus are great.
Yeah with great views makes an interesting list! Some beautiful locations. Just the stadiums themselves yeah Baum Walker has no equal. It’s awesome! And to still have the open field seating Hog Pen in the outField too adds to the atmosphere. The other great and interesting thing about many of these bigger SEC stadiums is they also sell them out! Some fantastic game day crowds and atmospheres every weekend! Most other schools in the country are lucky if they fill half of their much smaller stadiums.
Fantastic tooic and video minus only the Rutgers thing! I picked up on that right away, but the dude below said the correction. You can’t be perfect!! Great Vid!!
Should of had University of Tampa D2 baseball stadium on that list! The Spartans have an amazying small stadium right in the middle of the city with multiple buildings behind it.
big thumbs 👍🏻 up for including Goss stadium at Coleman field 👍🏻..it can be/is a great college baseball ⚾️ atmosphere iv been to many games there over the years. and props for knowing about it 👏 ⚾️🦫🏟...3 time national champions in Corvallis Oregon..06, 07. and 2018..great job. go Beavers
Cool list DG! I Appreciated that you listed some of the lesser known/unique stadiums as well. Don't mind all the angry sec and big 12 bros in the comments.
Am I missing something? How can you leave out MS State’s Dudy Noble Field, “the Carnegie Hall of college baseball.” It is truly college’s version of Wrigley Field. It’s a classic new old ballpark and what atmosphere. We have loft apartments with rooftop lounge beyond the left field. We have the one of a king Left Field lounge which Sports Illustrated rated many years ago as the number one tailgating experience in all of sports. You mentioned Ariana’s with attendance record of 11,000 or so fans but have you seen the top ten on campus baseball crowds lately? Dudy Noble Field has the top ten on campus baseball crowd records including over 16,000 last year in a regular season game against Ole Miss. As far as attendance, we’re competing against ourselves. To not include Dudy Noble Field in a top ten college baseball ranking and ideally at number one strikes to the credibility of these rankings. Maybe you should visit more stadiums before you do a ranking list tge next time. Hail State!
My nomination is for Curtis Granderson Stadium, home of the UIC Flames. It has a breathtaking view of the Chicago skyline, something that neither Chicago MLB stadium has.
Living in a rural setting, in the Appalachian Mountains, my personal bias chooses the Appy State ballpark as the best. However, I will grant that the view in BYU's ballpark is indeed spectacular.
Just some questions here ... who holds the top 25 college baseball attendance records ? Number 1 to 18 is hold by Miss. State, #19 is Arkansas, Number 20 to 25 belongs to guess what Miss. State. Where is the only stadium in the whole NCAA with a complete BBQ zone along the left outfield ? Guess what its at Dudy Noble Field, home of the Miss. State Bulldogs. Where can you rent a complete condo for gameday and enjoy the game in private atmosphere ? Its the Dudy ... If you ask 10000 college baseball fans whats the best ballpark ... 9900 will tell you its Polk-Dement Stadium better knows as the Dudy Noble Field in Starkville Miss. some honorable mentions ... LSU, Arkansas, TN, NC State, Clemson, Arizona, Omaha Nebraska home of the CWS ... last question. Did Pepperdine or Rutgers ever had at least a 1000 peeps in the stands ? Baseball stadiums lives of their athmosphere and fans. Have fun looking at palms in malibu with 25 people in the stands .... Serious ... i never ever saw a more horrible list.
I have been to App State's stadium, and while it's a nice park the views aren't anywhere near as good as the others on this list as it only looks impressive from the aerial photos but not while on the ground. Also being in the mountains causes fog to be a problem, the first game I went to only went 5 innings because of it.
Grow a pair. This one has pretty palm trees. This one is in the middle of a forest. This one has a water view. Nothing about the field or playing conditions. Just how pretty they look.
Sadly.. no if a computer designed that stadium (TD Ameritrade), it would look like those cookie cutters from the 60's... Also sadly... I lived in Colorado Springs for 8 years. Staring out my bedroom window every morning at Pikes peak and the mountains... after a while, you don't see that any more... Great view from BYU's stadium... but the local probably don't see it... visitors... would probably be awed.
Yep. Baum walker is clearly the best out of all of these. The pics shown don’t even have the new $27 million hunt center in it. I hate to say this as a razorbacks fan, too, but I would have included Mississippi state’s stadium in there, too. Fuck state, but it’s number five or six in the country, at least. 😂 byu’s stadium is beautiful, though, man.
He's referring to the new baseball field which replaced Campbell's Field, but still, it's not the main Rutgers field in New Brunswick; that's the home field of D3 Rutgers-Camden.
Rutgers has the most ridiculous background distraction (Brooklyn Bridge) since the SkyDome with the CN tower going up 1800feet!!! Backgrounds never bothered me, I was so freaking focused on hitting them with HomeRun balls!! But tagging a car on that thing (Bridge) is beyond my range or even Aaron Judge’s!!
Wagner Stadium was the old home of the Yankees Short season A level team in the New York Penn League. Met's Stadium in Coney island is 1,000 time s better.. Camden is the home of D-3 Rutgers Camden, not the Big 10 School, not owned by the school. And the city of Camden is a death trap. Hookers and gun violence abounds.
Dude, this is a terrible list. Baseball America has dudy noble field (ms state) at number one and it doesn’t even make the list???? State holds the top 10 attendance records for all of college baseball. Have you even heard of it? Brand new in 2018. Geez man…..
You should delete this video. It’s an embarrassment to its title. Hello? Dudy noble field in Starkville for Ms state????????????? Every player and writer in college baseball seems it number 1. Unbelievable dude….
