In an episode of the Scottish crime drama "Taggart," there's an episode called "Legends" where the case revolves around a one-hit wonder band from the eighties. Part of that band's song, called "The Two of Us," is heard throughout the episode, and it's really good. I've long wished there was a "full" version of it.

Assuming that you are going with Fake TV songs, rather than musical numbers, I'd include Loser Like Me from Glee, which is a fictional song written by the group to help them win the national championship. Although the show is a musical, I think it fits this category. On the other hand, I'd like to see a list of TV musical numbers, which could include songs from Glee, Daria! (the musical episode) and Once More With Feeloing (the musical episode from Buffy. the Vampire Slayer

So CxG was valid and no offense to any of the songs here, but CxG certainly deserves a high spot with something like It was a Shit Show or OMG I think I like you or No One Else Is Singing My Song etc Among many others. Such a good show haha
Okay, couple things. 1) Corn Pudding sticks out like a sore thumb because it doesn’t fit the theme. All the other songs are fake musicians within the universe of the show while Schmigadoon is a musical show. 2) The fact that not a single song from the Quibi/Roku Channel show Royalties made the list at all is almost criminal. “Mighty as Kong” and “Make You Come True” are amazing!

I LOVE Zenon and know it was a TV movie but I feel like it didn't fit on this list because it's still a movie. 🤷♀ Otherwise, some great choices on the list!
