I think that Gilles Villeneuve must be in the top 10 best Ferrari drivers, come on... Gilles was one of the best drivers in the history of the sport itself, he was so talented and he made miracles with tractors. Most of all, he made people wonder. He was a pure person and a proper racer.
Overrated as fuck, he was as good as Maldonado but some thinks he is good just because he died, same with Senna and Bianchi, the death makes everybody saint
@@vighneshshivagunde830 almost won a championship with Ferrari, then kicked off during 1991 because he complained about the shitty car to the journalists.
@@BLACKRAINW11 no the problem is that everyone knows the ferrari was faster than Mclaren and if Michael hadn't been injured, he would have cruised to the title. Such was the pace with ferrari. Don't just look at the standings.
Yeah, now people remember him as like sometimes really fast, sometimes no.But young Kimi was ultra strong.Firsts years he’s career was better than Alonoso.Ron Denis called him and 2007 season was amazing.Lotus times+.2016,2018 was just good. And in Sauber sometimes really good
2014 is more than a incomparable year. Other than the ENGINE FAILURES that plagued both of them, the set up of the car itself was horrible. Over AND understeer, the clip of Fernando in Abu Dabi shows that. 2002-2005 kimi schooled Fernando on pure pace. And in 2007 Kimi took a championship away from Fernando’s hands 🤷♂️
@@noobednatherium4082 count up the mechanical failures that year😉. Don’t be too insecure, but kimi would have wrecked him with out those issues. He missed a quarter of the races that season and STILL almost won😂
Its like saying leclerc fought verstappen for the 2022 championship. Too many mistakes and dropped in development halfway through, loosing the championship with 3 races to go
This depends on if you are ranking them at ferrari or rankign their all time but they have to have been at ferrari. If its the first then then good lsit
My dad has actually met Niki Lauda when he was about 12. His uncle owned the raceway in Anderstorp, Sweden where part of the track was a runway, where some racers would arrive in planes. He once got to sit in his plane as well!
Agreed. Ppl say "oh alo almost won in a garbage car", so what he had a good car in 2007, and a. Didnt win b. Lost to rookie lewis. Sebs only 'bad' seasons were 2014ish, and 2020 onwards. Alonso is the most overrated driver on the grid. Ppl call him the goat, no, hes a very good driver, not close to goat at all.
Massa should be there atleast 8th place. He was a champion for 30 seconds and a champion in my opinion. Also Charles will definitely join the top 10 in the future, let's hope Ferrari doesn't ruin that.
Niki lauda literally burned half his face and returned to only lose the championship by 1 point all the while Lewis Hamilton was saying his back hurts in Azerbaijan
There are only 4 Ferrari Champions since 1970 and you forgot one of them (Jody Schecter). No way Barrichello deserves to be on this list above a champion
If anyone wanted a list made by someone with a brain here you are: 1. Michael Schumacher 2. Niki Lauda 3. Alberto Ascari 4. John Surtees 5. Kimi Räikkönen 6. Mike Hawthorn 7. Phil Hill 8. Jody Scheckter 9. Juan Manuel Fangio 10. Fernando Alonso Honourable Mentions: Sebastian Vettel, Rubens Barrichello
Some further Honourable Mentions: Nino Farina, Jose Froilan Gonzalez, Tony Brooks, Wolfgang von Trips, Jacky Ickx, Clay Reggazoni, Gilles Villeneuve, Didier Pironi, Michele Alboreto, Alain Prost, Eddie Irvine
Kimi had poor seasons in Ferrari while Alonso was brilliant in 2010-2014. But you clearly only value the championships which sometimes you just cant win with the car you have
@@adamlury6443 2014 Ferrari had the worst handling by understeering going into a corner then oversteering going outside of a corner, Fernando coped with this better than Kimi, but with car similar to their driving styles, Kimi is faster in terms of pace compared to Fernando in 05 and 07 if the engine didn't broke down
Honestly I saw this and half expected this to be awful but only taking into account their time at Ferrari, I have to agree. If we were considering full careers you’d have guys like Prost above rubens
