Canada 2011... 2 Years after graduating highschool. I was at this girl's place and we watched it. It was like 4 hours long. Perfect. Plenty of small talk in the red flag periods and time to make some espresso and bust out the snacks. Canada 2011 got me laid, man.
Spoiler for next video in 2030: „Top 10 Best Races of the Decade | 2020-2029“ 1. Abu Dhabi 2021 2. Saudi Arabia 2021 3. Monza 2020 4. Sakhir 2020 5. Silverstone 2022 6. Turkey 2020 7. Russia 2021 8. Monza 2021 9. Brazil 2021 10. Hungary 2021 This comment will be edited within the next 8 years.
Brazil 2012 championship decider, with drama and controversy, contact wheel to wheel racing, rain everythinh Brazil 2019 williams unsafe release and two contacts plus one spin. Its criminal how 2019 was ranked over 2012
I reckon it's something to do with memory. Brazil 2019 is much fresher in the mind. But 2012 Brazil was fantastic. Also, I still think Canada 2011 was the best race of the decade.
@@cameronb1342 the fact that the track needs to pay fees to be able to be chosen for a race is absolutely stupid. The FOM is also stupid for taking on of the best and easiest to attend races in f1
A big factor could be that Vettel has never won from lower than 3rd on the grid despite some excellent comeback drives (Abu Dhabi 2012, Germany 2019, Brazil 2012)
What makes a great Grand Prix 1. Rain 2. Interlagos. 3. Hockenheimring. 4. Button+ Rain 5. Championship deciders. 6. Unexpected Results. 7. Verstappen doing good.
"Am I a joke to you?" - Hockenheim 2019 was race of the season, but Canada 2011 was race of the decade. I've watched F1 long enough to know that race was more worthy of that accolade.
Exacly, First 2 places should be switched. Montreal 2011 was a race impossible to forget. McLaren Radio: "Jenson, you were on every position on this race. And you've won!"
First of, the races were fun because of the rain. Also the track had export grand stands meaning they lost money hosting, that's why F1 left. It wasn't that F1 wanted to leave, Germany wanted to leave
Meaisk I wouldn‘t say that „Germany“ wanted to leave... we Want that Race I wouldn‘t even say that Hockenheim wanted to leave It‘s too much money for them It‘s not that they don‘t want a gp
Button is one of my favourite formula one drivers after Norris and Hamilton, glad he’s a commentator now Oh yeah by the way I’m British and quite like McLaren
goes to show how dominant his car was at red bull. but as soon as someone is closing fast on Vettel, he cant handle the pressure and makes a mistake. canada 2011 and germany 2018 (i think it was in the Ferrari).
He's deserved _a_ win or podium a few times - but they were the times when he was in a great position but either the car let him down or someone took him out. You can't say he deserved a win in the races in which _he_ made the mistake. I'm not going to argue about this one in particular, just pointing out that he frequently let himself down. Not as often as the other two reasons, I'm guessing (I'm sure there's a random nerd with the stats who could correct me). But nobody deserves a win when _they_ are at fault, and I'm pretty sure Nico would agree. Though it would have been wonderful to see him on the podium. His win at Le Mans at the first time of trying shows he has the capability to race and win. I hope he gets a good drive in WEC, it's where he seems to be the most settled (rather than going to German touring cars or Indycar etc).
I used to live in Valencia during 2012 and even I didn't live near the circuit when I got out to my balcony during the race the V8s could be heard from my balcony. I will never forget that beautiful engine sound
it seems like he has the worst luck out of any f1 driver. every time he could have had a podium, it's either mechanical failure, external crashes, or a really shit car that robs him of it
FIA do plenty of things wrong already without you having to make up crap. It's Brazil's government who wants to move the race not the FIA, and the reason Germany is going is no one wants to pay for it. If you can stump up the money you can have Germany.
I don't see how people forget the Monza race and Canada last year and still saying German gp was ths best... It was interesting but not soo much racing going on guys just chaos.
Raikkonen is fun, but far from a legend. And honestly, Alonso is one of the best ever, but didn't win enough to be called a legend. Schumi is the only one of the three.
@@djoetma I don't think you have to be the best of the best to be a legend. You can put your mark on something and be legendary without putting up an excellent performance. When you think about Kimi Räikkönen, the first thing you think about is not that he won a championship. It's how long he's been around, that he rarely smiles and the way he answers questions i.e. his oneliners like 'Well, I crashed.' Many very good drivers (like Ralf Schumacher) on the other hand, is barely though of, because they didn't leave an impression. Of the 2019 grid, there are four drivers I think we'll remember: Hamilton for his excellece, Sainz for his smooth operations, Ricciardo for his personality and Räikkönen for his seemingly lack thereof.
@@INFsleeper Yeah just looked it up, you are right. There was the rumor of moving the GP to a different track when the contract runs out 2022, but it was not confirmed.
Nah, was an average race, apart from the last few laps. Brazil 2016 was way better

@@FCB001 Naaah, boring Merc 1-2 finish again. 2019 had a Toro Rosso out sprint a Merc to the finish line and a McLaren on the podium. When last did you see that? Admittedly everything else apart from the 1-2 finish in 2016 was epic. Crashes, overtakes like crazy! Rain in Brazil makes for exciting racing.
Hopefully yes, this season wasn't that entertaining in terms of championship but some of the races were stunning, Germany 2019 was the most entertaining race of the hybrid era hands down
Fantastic race and one of the best for me too.. 2012 in general was the best... Only true F1 fans can remember that.. And i would thanks that im one of them!
There's a large bias in favour of the crazy, slightly random races, normally caused by rain with lots of crashes. I personally really like the times you get two great drivers going at it all race long. Hungary 2019 was one of my favourite races for a long time. It didn't have someone winning who started 16th, it didn't have lots of position changes caused by rain and crashes. What it did have was Hamilton and Verstappen both putting in awesome drives and having an epic scrap for the entire race.
Slavko Gelo they want us to believe that the V6T era is any good and the thing is: we have 1-2 good races per season in the hybrid era. We used to have 9-10 good races in the V8/V10 era. Just 2012 alone was better than the whole hybrid era together, but they want us to watch F1 and therefore they try to make us believe that modern races are better. Whoever watched that awesome 2011 Canadian GP or the whole 2012 season knows what Im talking about. Also, Abu Dhabi 2010 was a pretty good race, way more than Bahrain 2014 for example. But nope, no mention at all
Javier Piernagorda I mean, the v8-v10 era had 5-6 world champions battling it out where in 2019 we had 3. The title fight in 2012 was between drivers who each had at least one championship under their belts and that had something to do with the excitement of the season.
This just proves how bad last seasons were. We didn't have a decent race for years and then, the 10-lap madness from recent Brazilian GP overshadows a great Title fight which was tense from start to finish.
It was I think fans vote, wouldn't expect any other result since Crashtappen dutchtard army is doing everything to validate their idol. Same like with driver of the day votes. And 99.9% of his fans didn't even knewf1 existed back in 2012
Canada 2011 lives rent free in my head. Stayed up all night, watched every minute even through the red flag rain delays and in the end it was worth every moment of it.
If it wasn’t the championship decider it would have been a boring race. This race ruined the 2010 finale as you just couldn’t overtake in Abi Dhabi. Which idiot decided to make it a final circuit
I literally got into F1 like 2 months ago, thought "will watch the races of this season", after a sleepless night "I might watch a race to get me sleepy" *hockenheim 2019*
Agreed, most of the recent races on this list have had a span of 10 or 20 action-packed laps. Compare that to something like Malaysia 2012 or Brazil 2012
