Lovely add-ons. As a note, as Rive Gauche PH is long gone, the shaving artisan RazoRock makes American Barber, both soap and after shave. It''s their take on the YSL scent and I love it! The after shave lingers about 8 hours on my skin (very close, it's not a projection monster as it's not an EDT/EDP) if I also apply a non-scented after shave balm right on top of it. Both the soap and the after shave are very good priced. You can get both for about 25 quid. Cheers!
I love 1881 but I don't know if I will be including it in a top 10 best fougeres, maybe 10 best cheap fougeres... anyway great video, great fragrances.
The original 1881 edt probably the best inexpensive modern fougere to layer with. Not as rich or complex as Boucheron Pour Homme edp or edt, but that makes it more usable. Try it with 78 Vintage Green, Eau de Rochas Homme and even Guerlain's Vetiver edt. I kid you not. Tons of unique combos.
Do you still wear colonia essenzia, or have you gotten tired of it? I actually find myself using modern Eau Sauvage most of the time. I dont like how strong the lemon is in the opening, but after 15 min it can do no wrong.
I’d argue that Pinaud clubman is the ultimate fougere as this is what is used in every single barbershop here in America so every child to every man knows this one. Lovely and cheap should be on every man’s bathroom counter
Azzaro Pour Homme or YSL Rive Gauche . Azzaro is more attainable . You'll be in a mission looking for YSL . Some still available however I would never spend over 200 for it .

No, American Blend is NOTHING like YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme. I have bith of them. AB is terrible. Phoenix Shaving has a good Rive Gauche Pour Homme clone called CAD.
@@MrSmelly1977 Hi Dan, soz for the slow reply, and apologies for what probably came across as an overly negative comment. Thought I owed you a response, seeing as I stuck my oar in (at 3am!)! I mainly meant, that as a 3-year fan of your content, I used to discover loads of great frags that mainly only you were covering in lists / reviews etc. I know theres only so many you can talk about, seeing as you prefer the classics, and that you have other reasons for maybe making one video become two - I just felt that, given you talked about an Indie (great frag), a Chanel exclusif, a discontinued classic and 2 mega-cheapies, that there wasnt much new in there for your regular viewers, or even for any newbies to your channel. Your “me when I” intros were hilarious as always and will always keep me interested though - so I’m not going anywhere and apols again for coming across negative.
