Activate Meltdown, got ashed, still have Aleister in hand anyway. Normal Summon Aleister, got veilered, still have Invocation in hand anyway. Invocation negated somehow? No worries, another Invocation is in hand, always.
Top 10 cards with "Cyber Dragon" like effects, ergo an inherent special summon if only your opponent has monsters or more monsters than you, or you control no other cards/monsters. I expect either Pankratops or Zoo King to top.
@@tuzki8843 and not everyone can have meltdown negated, Aleister negated AND already have Invocation in hand... it really is a powerful and intelligent play
@@mk07forever32 Uh kênh ruột của tôi về Yugioh đấy, tôi thích xem kiểu top 10. Có cộng đồng VN nào ko chỉ tôi với chứ trước giờ toàn chỉ chơi trên Discord thôi
*Looks at Noble Knight Brothers.* Though, Mordred is still the better Noble Knight normal summon, because it doesn't lock you to Noble Knights for the rest of the turn with its special summon. The downside to Mordred is being Ashed, which then basically requires you to have a monster that can special summon itself from the hand while you already have a monster on the board (in context of Noble Knights, that'd be Custennin).
@S V I mean humming bird was sometimes decent, like when verte wasn't banned, on your first turn, you could summon connector, then hummingbird and win LP to then link summon verte and use the second effect without lose a lot of LP, and well, hummingbird was usefull too bc he's one of the fusion materials of elemental hero air neos, a monster that can make Otk with cards like a hero lives, but we all know what happened to that card...
@@NICOCLASH Foolish alone is still a neg 1. The card you choose to send to the GY with it is what goes plus. Like, If you Card Destruction, you might go plus off the Dark World stuff you discard, but by itself it's a neg 1.
I'm slightly biased in this regard but I don't think drawing one random card worth more than special summoning whatever you want from the deck even when it is technically neutral advantage. However, I also understand why it wasn't included, Summoner Monk special summon effect is not tied to the normal summoning, you can special summon summoner monk and still able to use its effect to special summon something from your deck, its effect on normal/flip summoned is just merely changing its battle position.
@@CrnaStrela Well, you see, here's the thing. I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh player, and Yu-Gi-Oh players don't read card effects. So I thought the effect would only apply if it was normal summoned.
Video suggestion: Top 10 Generic Extenders. With cards like Parallel eXceed, Jester Confit, etc. for free special summoning that can add to link plays, xyz plays etc.
@@windchimes8764 honestly, i would say so. It's a trap so it's restriction of "you can't enter the battle phase" is not that big a restriction unless you somehow managed to keep it live for two turns
Junk Synchron is also a candidate for this list, it's nit really competitive, but balls to the wall Synchro combo are honestly so entertaining and cool to see
As a Synchron main, I don't understand how junk Synchron is not better than breaker? And agree with you is beautiful to see the deck pop off and go into 5 negates plus 3 handtraps turn one lol
@@fernamart9868 Most Normal Summons only are not once per turn. The reason Synchron can get away with Double Summon is because they draw so many cards with Librarian
Minor note: Saying Breaker is "still" limited in Goat Format is a bit misleading, since the Goats list doesn't change. So it's "still" limited in the sense that it was limited in 2005, and that fact will never change barring time travel shenanigans.
I'd like to see a video about cards with odd stat lines (and why). Things like Mechanical Chaser (1850 ATK so it could beat over La Jinn back in the day, I imagine there's lots of other similar minor power creep examples), Machina Force with 4600/4100 (that's what its three pieces add up to), the entire Gizmek archetype being xx50, Utopia prime with 2510 ATK, etc.
Deep Sea Diva is my favorite normal summon in the game. Such a simple, awesome card with tons of cool lines, it really made Synchro Summon make sense to me as i was coming back to the game. I also love Scorpio, but mostly play it as a Predaplant card, not so much generically.
Oh, hey! Mathematician is finally in a list after years of only being mentioned. Neat! New Video Idea: "Top 10 Worst Tokens in YuGiOh." Which ones are bad at giving their users advantage? (The tokens themselves; not their generators.)
Ice barrier token is definitely top 1, not only it's summoned to ur opponent's field and require the generator to be tribute summoned, it only restrict ur opponent from tributing it in the middle of synchro era.
Another great normal summon is psy reflector (wich can also be tutored from e tele), gives you access to either any lvl 5-9 synchros, halq, the assault mode monsters (among wich stardust assault is an omni negate), or just any link 2! I personally really like to use it to get to chaos ruler and mill cards for either my lightsworn or sylvan deck
It should be worth noting that Sangan doesn't negate cards he searches for the turn, he just prevents them from activating effects. This is mainly an important distinction because their are a lot of cards in the game that can special summon themselves without needing to activate an effect to do so. This completely bypasses Sangan's restriction and most people play him to abuse it by searching out combo extenders with inherent special summons. Witch of the Black Forest is used for the same reason. Fun fact Witch can actually search Dogoran the Mad Flame Kaiju and it's unphased by her restriction.
1:36 Glife the Phantom Bird. It can target & destroy an opponent's S/T on Normal OR Special Summon. Hard OPT, though. But it can also discard to search Stromberg, & is a 1500/1500 Level 4. IMHO, with stuff like Sacred Crane, Swallow's Nest, Icarus Attack, maybe Soul Rope, & stuff like Tin Goldfish/Goblinbergh, Glife could give real value. Anyway, okay analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
Sublimation Knight is a good alternative to Neo Space Connector, doing basically the same job while being immune to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring (though its only viable target - Squeaknight - is much worse than Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin).
Aleister has a special effects where, if it's summon, the battle theme is change in master duel for the rest of the turn, but it's a hard one per turn 😂
I used to use Deep Sea Diva a lot, one really funny thing you can do with her is if you happen to have Red Dragon Archfiend on field use her effect to bring out another one, you can instantly go into Red Nova Dragon (well that's what I did at least back in the day)
Yo great video topic idea! These are my favorite kinds of your videos. Sometimes I actually get inspirations for my decks from them. This channel is so cool and entertaining.
I haven’t watched the video but my personal bias with just the limitation of it being a normal summon is Chaos Summoning Beast. You get an instant 4000 attack monster from your hand and a field spell from the deck that makes that monster immune to effect targeting and allows you to draw 2 extra cards a turn, with a proper deck (and some luck) this can play you into a quick victory
There could easily be a part two to this as there are so many really good generic Normal Summons, which would be exciting if only a certain Fusion Summoning Invoker got banned so they could get a chance to shine (not in any order). 1) Serziel: Being a towers with a quick effect pop while requiring 0 Extra Deck investment. It can even just be an extender, searching either the Field Spell to search the Familiar or just searching the Familiar itself to become 1 card Link-2. Unfortunately its cost and lack of re-usability like Aleister results in it never being used. Not to mention it doesn't just have fusion synergies. 2) Psi-Reflector: Instant access to practically any Level 6-9 Synchro or just another one-card Needlefiber that grabs you discard fodder on the way that is ultimately held back by the fact that it often comes with a generally useless garnet in Assault Mode Activate. But is helped out with 4 ways to Special Summon from the Deck in E-Tele and One For One. 3) Any Zoodiac: A bit flirty with the line for generic, but all of them being a one card Zeus previously with a pop along the way in Drident made a few decks just run them as an engine. 4) Rescue Cat & Rabbit: I am actually surprised these cards didn't make the list considering that Cat was banned and Rabbit had a whole format named after it due to how meta-warping it. Still seeing play today in the occasional Tri-Brigade or Gladiator Beast builds. 5) Tsukuyomi: Much like Breaker it is a legacy pick and far from viable in today's meta, but it was effectively a reusable removal spell for a lot of decks when it first came out and allowed decks to combat the meta-warping super threat of Jinzo at the time by flipping it facedown and attacking over it. Despite arguably being a loss in tempo in the long run it was an absolute dominant threat. Other includes Lonefire Blossom, Junk Synchron, the Manjus.
Top 10 cards that have higher rarity in Master Duel than in Duel Links. I was thinking about crafting Power of the Guardians for the event, but noticed it was an SR in MD instead of an N in DL
Please do Top 10 cards with the wording "you can use the effect of this card once per turn" meaning you can use the effect of the card again if you have another copy of it that turn !
I'd argue Predaplant Ambulomelioides is easily by far the best Instant Fusion target after you searched it out with Darlingtonia Cobra. It searches any Predaplant card from your deck to your hand. Then you can tribute itself to special summon a Predaplant monster from your deck.
Top 10 WORST banish itself from grave! Also, post more stream clips on the DuelLogs Duel Logs channel, love watching those. Hope to catch a stream soon
I use Deep-sea Diva in my Ice Barrier deck. It's a one-normal-summon Adamancipator Dragite if you special summon Guitar Gurnards and use it's effect to double its own level. Plus Gurnards effect upon special summon banishes the top cards of your opponent's deck equal to the number of face-up water monsters on your side of the field. Love it! ^^
If you use instant fusion to summon the newpredsplant fusion you can add a predap from your deck to your hand and also the fusion can tribute any plant to special summon any predaplant incluiding bylisp which while sent to the graveyard can add both a predator plant from deck to hand as well as being able to special summon itself by taking predator counter from the field. So now predator plant ophyris scorpio has the potential of being a hard 4+ And technically a plus 5 if you count bylisp summoning itself from grave.
Deep Sea Diva was always great in my Sea Emperor deck for being able to special summon Tridon and then instantly summon Poseidra from the deck and lowering all my opponent's monsters' attack by 300. All around a great combo piece
@@YohananYGO no, but it is a 2800 beatstick for casual decks. With proper support it can get to over 4000 and can summon itself back from the graveyard. It was also one of my first cards so I like to use it.
Well prank kids would be towards the top of that list since it was hardly played ever until someone brought it to a major tourney and absolutely swept the floor using them one time, after that they became meta for a while.
TOP 10 Most consistent FTK throughout ygo history I saw the Gandora FTK on Lithium CBC, and it caught me by surprise how crazy consistent that was. I personally put above Frog FTK

Top 10 "Reset your Deck"/"Pot of Avarice" cards. For search effects can the resetting of Garnets or similar cards be very beneficial (eg. Generaiders).
Great video! You are doing great work. Idea for similar video would be, 10 splashable engines in yu gi oh, such as invoked, predaplant, maybe eldlich, etc...
Here’s a fun idea for normal summon support: _Normal Summon cavalry_ Quick play spell card _Once per turn, you may banish one monster from your hand or field; until the end phase of your next turn, you may conduct three additional normal/tribute summons of monsters with the same Type, level and attribute combination as that banished monster. When this set card is activated, this cards effects cannot be negated, and you gain LP equal to the combined levels of monsters you normal/tribute summon this turn X500. Until the end phase of the turn you activate this card, normal summoned monsters cannot attack or be attacked, your opponents cards are unaffected by their effects, and they cannot be used as material for extra deck summons._
I'm actually kinda surprised Girsu, the Orcust Mekk-Knight wasn't on the list. Since it is a one card Link 2 if you have no other monsters on the field and when normal summoned lets you dump from the deck a Orcust or World Legacy card (dump World Chalice to then search for any World Legacy card on the next turn, such as Succession).
lowkey kinda glad you didnt elaborate about diva's insane one-card combos that put her on the banlist for a while, for all us water deck enjoyers keeping it on the DL on master duel :]
9:05 I think you forgot that Tour Guide negates Sangan’s effect so you don’t get an extra summon, but it’s still a pretty good combo without that anyways
Pretty sure it works. The effect activates in the graveyard, and sangan is only negagted on the field. Could be totaly wrong. I know if someone used forbidden chalace on Sangan on field, it still would search when it hits the gy.
@@seanbrazil3349 oh maybe. Idk I thought sangan’s effect was completely negated when it was on the field and sent to the gy. But it would regain its effect if it was say special summoned to the field from the gy. They need to be clearer with some of their card effects lol.
@@thedon7625 gy effects still trigger if a monster who's effects on the field are negated is sent to the grave This was also why tour guide is so good in ba, could summon any ba from the deck but negating it's effects means it won't die, then when you go for dante or cherubini you still get the grave effect
Another normal suumon that is good is lonefire blossom. It tributes itself to special summon any plant, it might only summon plant monsters but you can summon any plant monster with any level which also includes scorpio
@@CANWEGETMUCHHIGHERRRR it's still good as a normal summon, he didn't say the card needed to have an effect from normal summon to be good just that it was a good monster to normal summon
Ok, hear me out… but Deskbot 003. Normal summon 003, effect allows you to summon 001 from the deck. Since 001 is a tuner, you can link for halqifibrax. Halqi can then summon another 001 which can then be linked for Auro whose effect summons 3 lvl 3 tokens which then allows both 001s to be summoned from the graveyard. Since there are 6 machines on your field, each 001 has 3500atk, plus the 2100 from Auro, that’s already over 8k. Even then, you can use Auro’s effect to tribute a token to pop something first and still swing for 8k. But what REALLY makes it strong is the potential synchros that can be summoned from this. You can summon pretty much any synchro with generic materials and even more. The best synchros I’ve found when using this combo being Crystal Wing (even Crystal Clear wing), Borrel Savage, both Trishulas, Ultimaya Tzolkien, all from just one normal summon
I had a fun idea for a joke retrain for bad reaction to simochi (as a continuous spell card): _Good Reaction To Simochi:_ As long as this card remains face-up on the field, any effect of decreasing your opponent's Life Points is changed to add the same amount of points in damage to your opponent's Life Points.
In zombie decks, uni zombie or Shiranui solitaire to special summon uni zombie from the deck is the only normal summon needed, and is both a discard and a foolish burial in decks that love to send monsters to the graveyard. Plus is a tuner and can become level 5 in a single turn...
@@stevenceja4706 she can't special summon herself. Her first excavating effect happens on normal summon. She does however have the unusual quick effect that, "Once per battle, if this card battles, before damage calculation, you can send this card to the GY." I've been trying to figure out why she would have this final effect. I theorize it's supposed to synergize with Fairy Tail Snow, but I'm unsure. What do you think?
@@chrisshorten4406 not really sure. I just misread her first effect and thought it could be applied when she was special summoned. Been trying to find ways to take advantage of the new Fallen of Albaz fusion when it's released into the TCG since he can summon monsters from the graveyard as a quick effect. Man they really took precautions with the Fairy Tail monsters after snow 😂
You should talk about card effects that causes unusual situations such as flipped-down attack position monsters or having an opponent's card in your hand
I was surprised not to see manju of the ten thousand hands, since it's basically a staple in every single ritual deck. and gives you card advantage with options.

@TheDuelLogs I think you completely underestimate deep sea diva. Diva can summon prince which sends a Prince to the field which can add a Atlantean Dragoons to hand and grave. Dragoons being a soft once per turn means you can get like a +5 in advantage, as you can use it to combine and extend into halqifibrax and summon Moulinglacia to make your opponent discard 2 cards from their hand. You can also search minstrel which helps you stop hand traps like nibiru etc. It's very seldom that they'll just play 3 diva alone. As the advantage from a single diva is ridiculous, as it can lead to Halqi to aurodon, or other synchro shenanigans with trishula etc. Also tour guide alone is a 1 card combo which sets up an entire PK engine and like in MD can be a 1 card Rhonogo. Both deep sea diva and tour guide are superior to #3 on the list. Arguably better than #2
