I have grown up watching Telugu films and Telugu films can never match up to the levels of Malayalam cinema when it comes to content followed by Tamil. Unfortunately the industry from my state is still in shambles and gloats in the success of a once in a blue moon decent film (not great) and some of the big hits were actually overhyped. Unfortunately many smaller good content films are overlooked by the audience and the media alike apart from a handful of critics praising them. I am talking about the KFI.
Its started by mallu bgrade fans. Telugu people always support mallu actors and industry but these oily people just spread hate of jealousy on Telugu Industry
I still can't understand why people aren't praising Maidaan. Ajay Devgn's performance as SA Rahim was awe inspiring. The attention to detail in the training ground and stadiums are remarkable. Amit Ravidernath Sharma's direction is masterful. His ability to recreate the golden era of Indian football is commendable. Cinematography by Fyodor Lyass in the matches were visually arresting. Maidaan is almost a perfect film, but people now mostly resort to massy films, which leaves these films as marked as "underrated"
The only problem with the film was that it was a Bollywood film. If it was a south film, it would have been a blockbuster and later remade into a Bollywood film (and still flopping though).
For me... Movie had it's moments but storytelling vise it seemed copied, average songs and bgm and above all side roles weren't written that strong like in Chak de India.
Brooo trust me when I saw Maidan's box office collection my jaw DROPPED. This movie was a cinematic masterpiece I felt like I was playing football with them in the screen. And the story increases your nationalism feeling within you. This could've been easily an igniting path among the youth to get into football and rise Indian football on global scale again. This was hands down unfair to Ajay Devgn and his Football team.
Maharaja was the best experience for me. I didn't know about the movie, I didn't watch the trailer, no idea about the plot. Just heard that it good good reviews and BOOM! Surprised me every second! And also Hanuman was equally surprising.
@@TimeShow-nt9bg Bot spotted.... You are commenting against malayalam cinema in the entire comment sections.... You are really paid to do so Or else you have that much hate towards malayalam industry or else you are a simp die hard fan of one if the South Indian actor 😂😂
Unpopular opinion: Madgaon Express was at best a mid comedy movie. I was utterly shocked after I came out of the theaters as many critics labeled this as "Comedy is back". I mean how?? It was funny for a few moments but at best it was just a slightly an above average movie. The three guys with utmost convenience enter Kombi gangs place and conveniently steal the cash and the climax was so dumbed down. I still don't know if I missed something in this movie😅
It seems that most reviews are paid for by the makers to create a buzz.....it's insane that this movie was promoted as the best comedy movie after Heri Pheri!!!!....I personally dint enjoy it at all and watched it entirely just in the hope that there is something funny coming soon but remained disappointed...or Maybe I have lost my sense of humor 😬
I feel good to know that there are people who felt same about that movie 😄. I could enjoy it only in parts and most of the comedy were forced. I feel people were desperate for comedy movie so when they got a mid movie like this it felt refreshing for some.

As a Tamil guy who has always loved Malayalam movies, I’m glad to see the appreciation they’ve got from the more mainstream pan India audience this year. I just hope they just continue catering to their core Malayalam audience and not try to please pan Indian audience. Actors like Prithviraj and FaFa must go the Aavesham route and make good Malayalam movies instead of acting in garbage movies like Salaar and Pushpa
unfornately pushpa and salaar are pan india blockbusters and famous all over india ..and chapri mallus and tamil sambars begging in telugu movie side roles bcz they cant make pan india movies or big budget good movies ...cry more

Just completed 3rd rewatch of Aavesham! Such a wild ride, goddamnit! Also in Bollywood, I'd give fighter a place as well. Not because I'm a die hard Hrithik fan, but it is genuinely a well made action film that has of course built standards in that department. It was oddly emotional in bits as well. But yes, it had horrible marketing and I think we've had enough of the India vs Pakistan narrative. AND I'M AS MAD ABOUT MAIDAAN AS YOU❤️
Coming from a Telugu background,Hanuman was really a small film with a big heart. It was released in Sankranti season,A Season where every movie wants it's release to be done. It's opposite were Guntur Kaaram(An MB film who is a Demi-god is Telugu states) and other star faced projects, nonetheless it proved that Content is King.Looking forward for the PVCU
Some illiterates in the comments are equating- Higher box office numbers = best film. For f-sake, boxoffice numbers don't matter for arthouse films, and kalki is not the best film of 2024. Avengers endgame made 2.7 billion dollars at box office, while parasite made 200 million dollars. Parasite won the oscar.
There are people who won Oscars / National awards and ended up homeless. Have you ever heard of any commercially successful actor or director going to depression because of not getting an award or so called intellectuals calling their movie cringe. Can you name the movie that won the National award in the year Sholay, Bahubali, Basha, Okkadu/ Ghilli released. Have you noticed that in the trend of re-releases , only commercial hits are rereleased. Why do you think that is ? The impact of commercial entertainers is way higher and long lasting. The careers of commercially successful actors are much longer. This is because 99.9% of people watch movie only for entertainment. Not to be educated or awakened or to prove their intellectual superiority. That minor group of narcissists exist mostly on the internet. If you think commercial success is not good, heard of Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos and why not Katalin Kariko. Please grow up a little.
@@VikramKumar-s7w a wise man ones said, movies are reflections of the society. Its a matter of shame when a society demands such logicless masala films, coupled with hero worship and objectification of women. I really don't care if the actor or director goes into depression. I only care that the film(which we pay for, spend 2-3 hrs of our life to )should never mock our intellect. The audience in kerala for that matter, are much more attached to the literature. You can't make a $#!tty film in kerala and get away with it earning bucks. Also, there's no hero worship in kerala cuz even cringe films of superstars don't recoup the production costs, if you challenge the audiences intellect. Lack of intellect is exactly the reason why films like kerala story earns 300 crores. Its a matter of concern. Do you even understand the cultural ramifications of such films on naive audience? The avengers and parasite example is only a delineation on the fact that box office numbers don't matter for arthouse films. Nothing else. Bringing in elon musk (whose dad prospered owning emerald mines in apartheid africa) and jeff bezos (whos dad and his venture capatilast friends provided a seed capital to his new business) in an arguement about artistry in filmography is so embarrassing. 1. So, Maidan, Lapata Ladies, Chamkila, Madgaon express are best Bollywood movies of 2024. To be honest all these movies are good not great. This shows Bollywood having such a bad year 2024 in terms of content. 2. Avesham is the best cinematic experience of 2024, Fully agree on this 🙌

Actually i am slightly unsatisfied with the kalki movie , for it's writting . Nag put so many unwanted elements in first half . Most importantly , the character arc in this movie was so bad . Among all the leading roles only deepika and Amitabh character consists a proper character development, we can't say that Bhairava character has a strong development only with the final twist . Even the big final karna twist should have more foreshadowing. I don't know why so many directors like nag adding unwanted build up sequences for hero , rather than developing the characters and stories. We can't make sympathy on movie with vfx. Content is the matter . As a general audience, genuinely, honestly, prabhas need to improve himself at acting for the upcoming films ( that is my personal pov ) . These are my constructive criticisms . If writting is in the same condition for the upcoming movies in the universe that doesn't work for audience. And don't compare the movie with the collection. Collection doesn't show the movie's quality

I don't know if you have watched the Malayalam movie Aattam. It's one of the best Malayalam movies of 2024, and I wish you would include Aattam in your list
I would also like to include Gaami from Telugu cinema. It has a great story with three different storylines treading in parallel. And the most important highlight of the movie is that it is visually stunning. You will fall in love with the enchanting backdrop of the beautiful Himalayas.
I am elated that I took the initiative to experience "Maidan" in the quaint ambiance of a single-screen theater. Likewise, during the release of "Lapata Ladies," it was an arduous task to locate a nearby cinema, and the one single-screen venue I found nearly canceled the screening due to the sparse audience. This meticulously curated list is absolutely phenomenal, and I concur with it wholeheartedly. Having abstained from RU-vid for several months, I was ecstatic to find your video featured in my feed, dear Jammy ❤️.
Best film for me - Manjummel Boys because it was unbelievable what they could achieve technically within the cave, spectacular realism. Aavesham and Laapata Ladies for me are the next best films. Hanuman was a big surprise - a well made film. Amar Singh Chamkila is on par with Imtiaz Ali's best, probably on par with Laapata Ladies in the list or slightly below - the satire on society and its changing moral fabric in perceiving stars, is scathing. The best experimental film that was a masterpiece in horror - Brahmayugam, then followed by Kalki. I liked Maidaan in its football portions but hated its screenplay and cliches. Madgaon was a middling comedy. Yet to watch Premalu, Article 370, Captain Miller The Goat Life, Maharaja, and Bhakshak. Some good films missing from the list that are rightly missing but could feature in honorable mentions - Srikanth, Anweshipping Kandethum, Crew, Merry Christmas, and Aatam,
Saw Avesham twice in theatre. Third time when I saw it on OTT, I focused full time only on Ambaan. That gave me a different dynamics of the film and his impeccable performance. What body language, what expression, what a character. Ambbaan is at par with Ranga.
Avesham is a cult film and will be remembered as one of the classic movie in Indian film Industry.Ranga and Amban are characters to die for.Pls Bollywood don't remake this,i dont see anyone in Bollywood industry to pull Fahad Fasil's character as Ranga.

Maharaja - In many ways the metaphor of Lakshmi grasped me by the heart. In many vaishnavan sampradays, Laxmi refers to the shoba (grace/elegance) of Narayana that radiates from his heart and pervades His whole murti. If we relate to the metaphor of Lakshmi being lost. It really makes a lot of sense by the end of the movie. You really do understand how Lakshmi has been lost.
Aavesham didn't really work for me Too long second half Fafa's character not used upto his potential I liked the music obv, and the last 10 minutes Else, Aavesham wasn't my recommendation to a friend
The entire first half of this year is dominated by mollywood industry. (coming from a telugu guy). But the line-ups from TFI for the second half of 2024 excites me. Hopefully they become a huge success like kalki 2898 AD
I loved Aavesham (I don't understand why Fafa needed reintroduction?) I missed The Goat Life as it came out the day after I had major surgery and I am impatiently waiting for it to go on OTT as the book was fantastic and I want to see what they did with it on the big screen. Maidaan was a bit too long but deserved way more love than what it got. Chandu Champion was high on the list. I enjoyed Kalki (despite the uneven tone and obvious star wars inspiration in parta) and am inspired to read up on Indian mythology to understand it better. I agree with Maharaja being topnand it was a good vehicle for Vijay Sethupathi. Loving the south Indian films especially so far.
Rating chamkila above manjumel boys is just criminal. Chamkila by no means is a bad film but above manjumel and goat life..ur love towards imtiaz ali as an influence on these rankings. Other than that ranking looks fine.
I watch your videos regularly. But from last 1year, you are putting down Prabhas movies possibly because of ur love for SRK. I love FaFa 3 folds more than Prabhas. But Kalki is way way better in comparison to Avesham(A great movie on its own). Hope you make your future videos without any bias!!
I didnt liked Aavesham personally. Fahad Faasil was awesome in it but the movie was Ok ok. Bramayugam and Ullozhukku are the best from Malayalam cinema for me this half. Maidaan was the best Hindi movie for me this year. Brilliant just brilliant last 30-40 minutes. Also Yami Gautam comes every year do a brilliant movie and then go silent. Article 370 was such a good movie which had so much detailing too. Chandu champion also was good , Kartik Aryan's best till date
I was lucky enough that I witnessed such a masterpiece in the theater. Though the first half may seem a bit slow, the second half just kills it!!!! ❤❤❤ Another good movie I would suggest is Chandu Champion. Its more of a biopic than sports drama. Kartik and Vijay Raaz have done a splendid job!! 👏🏼👏🏼 Kudos to Kabir Khan!!!!
