List of excellent shoe brands, but only some of them are Italian. For example Berluti and Gaziano & Girling has Italian name due their roots, but they are French and English companies respectively.

You probably do not know too much about quality shoes. Suggest you watch some of the cobbler videos on repairing shoes - they will dismantle the shoes and show how bad some brand name shoe constructions are.

Very expensive but gorgeous shoes. Do you know if there is an outlet in these places where I could buy them on sale?

My list would include: Bontoni, Fratelli Borgioli, Sutor Mantellassi, Enzo Bonafe, Bemer, Paolo Scafora, Salvatore Ferragamo, Branchini, Silvano Lattanzi and Meccariello. This list includes both ready to wear and bespoke, various styles and constructions, and it is a list of actual manufacturers in all price points. All very good in their own segment.

@@wqsnsr8 You can buy same shoes from the original manufacturer for significantly less. I think it's madness to pay ~2k for a pair of blake stitched shoes. Tom Ford shoes are one of the best in their class but they are heavily overpriced. If you get them for a good bargain then it's a good buy. They're essentially just high quality Italian shoes with a Tom Ford stamp with no original design. With the price difference you can buy a trip to Italy.

@@wqsnsr8 it's not public knowledge and I like to keep it that way. I know this because I am insider in the business and a client of several shoe manufacturers. But maybe it's on my list above. ;) Google the manufacturers and you might find similar styles what TF offers.

From nr 5 upwards very realistic ranking. These are brands manufacturing higher number of fatto mano shoes. You can go more higher, but fairly unknown brands ...basically cobblers that can make custom fit. Personally I am great fan of Santoni. I never go for confection brands cloath making...that do have a shoes.

Yeah, this list is not good at all!! Other than santoni the rest of the shoes are mostly made in China, Italy permits shoe makers to say made in Italy as, long as 2 stepson the manufacturing are done in Italy,,,!! Not real Italian shoes!

Enzo Bonafè, Beluti, Branchini, Mario Bemer, and all the rest of real Italian bespoke shoes. If you're looking for industrialized shoes in medium good quality - yes then you're in the right place - your ranking is simply based on poor knowledge about real Italian shoemaking!!

I agree partially. Moreschi and Santoni are in the list, the other brands you are right. Tgere are a lot top missing in the list, not only the ones you mention, Tonino Crisci, ll Gergo, Harris, Testoni, and many other small brands.

Bruno Magli!!!!? Hell no!!! Those are like the worst shoes! I bought one and leather was bad!! Wrinkled fast even with shoe trees and minimal wear. PLUS the shape was not great! I also this the soles were glued
