Jessica is the reason that I fell in love with acting and film. I will never forget my theater experience of seeing Zero Dark Thirty with my dad at 12 years old. I can remember the moment my brain went “oh this is why people admire acting performances” It was during the “Give me the team I need!” scene. She was so captivating and exhilarating I never wanted her to leave the screen. Since then I’ve followed her career closely and I’m so so so happy she won the Oscar for The Eyes of Tammy Faye. I love her so much and admire her deeply. I can’t wait to see what her career will have in store now that she has an Oscar win!

Some actors are so good at what they do, that you think they've already won an Oscar for their work. Jessica Chastain is one of those actors. And I'm so happy she's finally won that particular award. I have said. Chastain’s name has long carried the prestige that one typically needs to first win an Oscar to obtain. Everyone knew she was Oscar-winning caliber long before she won.

I randomly saw her SNL episode one day last year and immediately loved her. I haven't watched all her movies yet but the ones that I have seen... all excellent performances. I almost screamed when she got the Oscar.

Celia Foote was my favorite character out of the entire film! It was her interactions with everyone else that showed you how kind and lonely someone can be and how much women need other women as close friends in their lives.

I haven't seen all of her performances, but what I've seen she is such a natural actress. I'm so glad that she was the Oscar winner this year because she truly deserved it. She was amazing as Tammy Faye Baker. I honestly didn't know that much about her except for the PTL scandal until Jessica brought Tammy Faye to life.

My favorite performance she gave is actually and adaptation of Miss Julie with Colin Farrell. She was brilliant, and that is one of the most difficult females' roles ever created. Liv Ulman directed it, I highly recommend.

They Help is my favorite because it's The First time I actually sew Jessica although I saw Mama and Crimson Peak before the Help She just didn't register in my brain and I forgot I saw those movies!!!But with the Help I fell in love with her acting and,her she's an intelligent careing person and a terrific woman ❤

Dark Phoenix was truly an awful trainwreck of a movie that ended the long run of the X-men series. Its run should have ended instead on Logan, a movie that provided an meaningful ending.

One of the best actors working today. Molly's Game and Miss Sloane are top-notch but you nailed in calling Maya her best creation. She embodies the determination to stop at nothing until she gets what she wants and then, once she's got it, she doesn't know what she wants anymore. One of the best acting feats this century in my book.

Jessica instantly became my favorite after The Eyes of Tammy Faye. I knew who she was before hand but I didn’t fall in love until seeing her portrayal of Tammy Faye. Nobody deserved the academy award more, and honestly I can’t wait to else Jessica does in the future !

The Academy made a huge mistake giving Jennifer Lawrence the Oscar back in 2013. Jessica deserved it more for her work in Zero Dark Thirty.

Jessica Chastain deserved multiple Oscars by now. At fucking last the Academy saw what we all saw since Jolene. Elizabeth Sloane from Miss Sloane will always be my favorite Jessica Chastain performance. She was razor sharp, and at her absolute acting best. Though she always puts 100% and never phones it in like Marvel actors do, her best work manifests in the following (no special order): Jolene The Debt Zero Dark Thirty Mama Miss Sloane The Zookeeper's Wife Molly's Game Woman Walks Ahead Ava The Eyes of Tammy Faye The 355

Ms. Chastain will continue to give performances but I mean this with absolute respect, that was not her Academy award winning performance. From her sympathetic performance in The Help, to her menacing presence in Zero Dark Thrity. I still belive Zero Dark Thrity was her finest. I am happy that she got recognized but I am sure, certain rather, she would give out performances that will outshine her win.

her best work was in the films, 0 Dark 30, Interstellar, Molly's Game, #4 Kristen Stewart should have won for Spencer. She pulled off what every actresses tried and failed to do. Master Princess Diana #1 The original ending was that Maya kept searching for Bin Laden. 1 month before principal photography was set to begin, Bin laden was ACTUALLY killed. so they had to delay shooting and rewrite the story

I don't understand all the hype behind Jessica Chastain #smh What is there to shout about?? She's an average actress at best and her performances are occasionally very over the top and quite bland if I'm being brutally honest. She speaks with that cringey Valley Girl accent in almost all of her films and struggles to dissappear into her characters. "Overrated" is the term that best describes her.

She's very versatile and always bring her A game to her roles. Even Zero Dark Thirty was some of the best she has been in, its not like she goes there and just be herself. She dissapeared in becoming Molly Bloom and Tammy Faye because she's so invested with her character

Speaking of The Help, Jessica Chastain now joins an club of Oscar Winners of that film. • Viola Davis (won an Oscar for 2016's Fences) • Emma Stone (won an Oscar for 2016's La La Land • Octavia Spencer (won an Oscar on the movie itself, 2011's The Help) • Allison Janney (won an Oscar for 2017's I, Tonya) • Sissy Spacek (won an Oscar for 1980's Coal Miner's Daughter) and now herself, Jessica Chastain winning an Oscar The Eyes of Tammy Faye. And also, there's another Oscar nominee that just join the club that were recognized by the Academy; Aunjanue Ellis (whom the former did not win an Oscar but was only nominated for an Oscar for King Richard, of which she lost that win to Ariana DeBose in 2021 version of West Side Story), of which Ellis herself was part of the The Help cast in a small role.

As a devoted fan of Jessica's her role as Lucille in "Crimson Peak" should be in this top instead of "Scenes of a marriage"; she wasn't really believable there, but light years away from mediocre roles like "Dark Phoenix" and "Ava". She's been underappreciated by the Academy, luckily thanks to her win she'll get more recognition 💖

I have only seen seven of her movies (watching Molly's Game again right now), but I am always more than happy with her performance. My favorite was "Jolene," which was her first real movie. The movie was a bit better than average, but this "no name" actress was in virtually every scene, and the breadth of her performance made me want to watch it , which I did at least twice. It is a rare actor that can be in every scene, lure you in, and make a movie better based mostly on the strength of her performance. Since then, she has become well known. I'm glad I have been able to watch more of her blooming as a master of her craft.

I think she should’ve won an Oscar earlier for her work, but like Leo DiCaprio, her Oscar was the right choice for that year. I think “Take Shelter” is a very underrated film. The Tree of Life was too confusing for me to like it.
