Unfortunately I've never got any of Lego pirate ships, but Renegade Runner always has been my dream-set. Small, fast, realistic toy-sloop with those awesome black and white sails! Thank you for including it to the your list!
I was never a big fan of pirate themes, but I confess that these Pirate of the Caribbean ships are absolutely stunning! They look great to display and/or decoration. And it was good to see again those pirate ships from 1993 you mentioned. The first Lego sets my parents gave to me were from that same time and I remember seeing those ships in the catalogues that used to came along inside the box, with 1993/94 models... good old times. @@SecondBrickToTheLeft Back then when I was a kid, the City theme was my favorite. Nowadays, after so many years away from this Lego universe, I bought a couple of the Botanical Collection sets as christmas gifts for my mother, and she loved it... these sets are pretty beautiful and realistic. Now I'm buying the Lego plants for myself 🤣🤣 (and for her as an excuse do buy and assemble new sets 😝)
Good 👍 video but ….. in all honesty even though its not a pirate ship but it is def pirate themed you should have included Imperial Flagship as number 1 in your list . Thats by far and by a long shot the best lego pirate ship until now …. Good list but def a huge miss on the true number 1 ….

I just like tope 3 the black pearl is the best pirate ship because it’s the fastest and uncatchable. The queen Ann’s revenge I’ll worry about that later but right now I like the black pearl

Because it was the Imperial's flagship 😄 I focused on pirate ships for this video... but I do have an Imperial video in the works and the Imperial Flagship is included 😉
I figured you would say that, lol. To be fair though, The Silent Mary wasn't a Pirate ship either. It was a Spanish Galleon used to hunt pirates. Good video though 👍👍
I envy you for your Skulls Eye Schooner. I should have put that on my wishlist back in the day. But since I already had the Black Seas Barracuda I probably found something from Space more interesting back then. Have fun. She is a beauty. 😁
You probably made a good call getting something from Lego Space! If you have Black Seas Barracuda, you probably don't need Skulls Eye Schooner, too - although there is nothing wrong with having both, but they are quite similar 😄
The Skull's Eye Schooner and Black Seas Barracuda are both deserving of the number 1 spot, but I will agree that the SES does improve on the BSB. As someone who owns the SES, it's epic. The pictures don't do it justice in terms of sheer size and the presence it has wherever it is displayed. The size is comparable, almost equal, to the Imperial Flagship. Both have the same amount of cannons, and if they were to face off, the winner would only be determined by the skill of the crew. The only thing that I think the BSB does better than the SES is the cannons. The BSB is the only Lego pirate ship with enough cannons to fill every cannon slot. (Not counting the single-cannon ships.) One set that would've made an excellent addition to this list is the Caribbean Clipper. It was released in '89 as a counterpart to the BSB, and it's absolutely adorable. It's compact, and that makes it very easy to display. Plus, the small size gives it a certain amount of charm that the larger ships don't really have. That's just my two cents on the matter. I might be a bit biased since I own the SES and don't own the BSB. And the CC was my first Lego "pirate" ship.
I totally agree with your points about the pictures not doing the SES justice. It's huge and easily stands up to modern Lego sets. BSB might have enough cannons to fill every spot... but unless they're fighting enemies on either side of the ship, my money is on SES 😄 I cover the Caribbean Clipper in my Top 10 Imperial Sets video 😉
I have the small renagade runner , 2 sets of the pirate ship creator 3 in 1 , the queen Anne's revenge , captin jack sparrow's black pearl (used to have the old classic barracuda ) but now I have the new version of the barracuda n I have the red beard runner ship of 1996 but i allways wanted the skulls eye schooner ship but never got it u are so lucky to have gotten it as a kid

Funnily enough, I own the Renegade Runner and I made a MOC hybrid of the Skull's Eye Schooner and the Black Seas Barracuda with parts off of Bricklink. The MOC turned out a bit bigger than either ship with 5 mid sections, a third mast, using the rigging, fore and stern castles from the 'cuda while using the gundeck from the Schooner. The result is a big ol' chunker of a pirate ship with 6 guns, 7 sails and I think a crew of 15 minifigs, along with 2 parrots and a monkey. Main reason to build it at the time was because I never got to own the Schooner and the Barracuda as a kid so I decided to make a hybrid of the best parts of both ships. (ended up using the hull pieces from the Red Beard Runner cuz they were half the cost of the brown ones but that ended up adding to the charm!)
Who saw misprint on front box of 6286? One of the officers (not blue ones) have wrong head. Instead of officer from blue-coats Lego gave him face of Captain Rogger (or Read Beard). For me 1 and 2nd place ok but third is St. Anna Revenge :)
