I would love for the game to have connected resources with other bases, that way you avoid moving them from one to another.

What you didn't mention about spot 1 is that it is completely impervious to raids. The AI can't pathfind all the way down the cliff and the monsters get stuck inside the castle ruins. You can go up and kill them easily or ignore them and they'll go away after a couple of minutes.

I have my base on the 8th location, but i learned that is better to have it in the place above it. The view is incredible and the range of the base applied both on top and at the bottom. The bottom part has plenty of minerals while the top has plenty of trees, as well as the view. You can build in both!

For ore make sure your pal is mining lvl 2 or higher and for later game there is a desert location for coal. The digtortise is lvl 3 mining found in desert and has crazy mining speed

Really helpful! I went out to walk the dogs and when i came back my base was completely destroyed, just a bunch of items on the floor (guess a raid). So just wanted to make a base somewhere elsebut didn't really know where. I'm def going to the 6th location. Passed there but didnt take the time to actually look at it and it's really awesome!

For those wondering why people say some of these locations are "bad". The reason is typically due to space and resources. The size of the buildings and other items are fairly large. So placing things down is a bit of a pain. The other reason I would say is due to resources. Stone, wood, paldinium? Forgot how to spell that. But those resources can be easily farmed with buildable nodes and a crusher. Also having resources outside your base still requires you to manually farm them instead of the pals at your base farming them while you're gone so its greatly recommend to have and ore vain in your base. My personal opinion a place with lots of open space and ore vains are best. But in the end build where you enjoy And a quick note on the chests each chest spawns in differently so while one person might get a silver chest another might get a blue one.

66 - 84. That's the coordinate for my second base, This is a very open area surrounded by multiple others on the same island. I personally Don't recommend this coordinate as a first base due to the fact that it's a FAR distance away from the starting island, and also because of the pals spawning in the area and criminals. I only started 3 days ago so I'm not informed regarding the base limit. however, If the limit is more than 2 or 5, this location allows me to place multiple bases in the same area, which is cool. My first base is the 4th location in the video, It's a great spot because of the materials and you're able to foresee where the criminals will be coming from. Unfortunately, the spot is very limiting in terms of space which is why I, Decided to place my second base where it's currently at, It's purposely for food supply.

With the 4th base since you can unlock a second base can you have a base both on the ore level and flat level above?

Never build first base without iron and second base getting gunpowder resources like coal sulfur or your screwing up, most of these bases don't understand game play mechanics required at end game, trees and stone can be added later

At the 4th location there's a black market guy and a dungeon right next to each other and another dungeon near the rock shore just south and below from that location and a egg on the rocks below it as well

honestly the best base location is a location that gives you a full palbox circle of space. like the flat empty beach.if there is stuff cutting out space for your base like all these locations you cant build a wide base

tbh u always want a Base with lots of Ore Rocks since u need alot of Ore later on.

Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings fast travel beach doesn’t get raided. It’s fully flat land. You won’t need defense wall at all. Also mining is best on top of mountain the one with lots of ore nodes cause it also has coal nodes which you’ll need for need a lot for gunpowder.

4th location is awesome, not just you have many mining nodes, raids also almost non-exist. When any raid triggers there is a very long path that enemies uses every time. 5-10 second after they arrived, raid ends and they turn back all the way.

I would like to have it be easier to break down a base and bring it to another location over universal resources. Would also like the game to be more cross platform. Steam players are locked out of the rest of the community. Also other things but I guess that all comes with replay ability which I don’t see being long right now so hopefully consistently updated.

Had the same issue on the cave camp with the bounty hunter disappearing after a few days kinda wanted to keep him for easy pal management 😢

Went to same spot as the first one and mine looks different, where your dungeon is I have special trees.

Wish I knew about these locations before I started. I'm now too far in to restart now, and I'm manhunting for ore.

9th and 10th locations literally have a bunch of enemies everytime I go there.

Pretty sure I just naturally picked the 2nd location before watching this since it was so close to the area you start 🤣. Been planning to move though

I know it hasn't been announced yet or even if they have plans for it. But many of those base locations are not made with pvp in mind. I'd like to see great anti pvp locations.

Some good locations here, but you mention rocks and trees for every location when those are irrelevant. You can build structures for those in any base.

4:38 I have the unfortunate luck of have a syndicate thug settlement in that area which practically removed all those ore deposits. Sadly it happened in all the places that a cluster of ore deposits in my world. So, just saying that the syndicate thug settlements are randomly generated.

Meh, the final ore base is nice but there is another spot with lot of ore and coal so its not vital per say, right now i'm looking for a good sulfur base since it's now a vital ressource

I’m made that I put my first base on the other side of the waterfall part(the second spot he mentions) so then I had to mine all the ore 😑, I should of put it on the other side but I wasn’t thinking.

Ok for a best base location guide I'd make sure it had 2 ore and rocks naturally in the base location. Cause if you build a rock mine the pals won't mine the ore without breaking down the rock mine. Second thing is make sure it has a flat area to build, 3rd is defensive aspect. If you redo the video using what I suggested above it will be 10 times better. If it has just ore add it cause you can stock up on ore the build tge rock mine to stock up on rock then when you need ore again destroy the rock mine so tge focus on ore.

Im in the late game. I dont need resource. Im getting owned by raids. I could build in high ground but you run out of room fast. Complicated 1st world problem.

Honestly this is one of the best base location guide I've seen. The other videos are just big flat lands or ore centers. I ended up settling in the 3rd base you showed with the black market vendor. Your base doesn't despawn him, he just doesn't show up every day. More importantly, the circle for build area has no height limit so not only can you build in the canyon, but you can also build on the plateau above. I started my base above and could fit an entire circle on the plateau.

The only thing that matters is ore and coal. If you don't have that you already screwed up

I'm level 20 and I just get raided by level 28 relaxaxsus or whatever they called and my base got destroyed so looking for new place to build but damn that pissed me off

For anyone who just start. Make auew you nake a base where there is ore. Youll need them later.

How's the 4th in terms of safety from raids?

First base you want to be close to a fast travel with paldium and ore. Trees are plentiful practically everywhere and you’ll wind up with logging stations and mining stations. Ore and paldium are harder to come by early game. You’ll wanna be close to the fast travel for ease of travel around the map.

Imma try 4 or 10

One of the best bases is literally inside the empty ruin before you exit to the first fast travel point. Im using it as a base and there is only one way raids can come from and they can barely ever get in and they never get to do any damage because all my pals are already high level. You have immediate access to fast travel anywhere.

what about the location near the volcano crater with coal and ore?

4th location is the best

a over half of these bases are completely impractical and borderline useless. open space and resources are king in this game if you want to go for looks there are far nicer places in the game.

C'mon, seriously. #1 is the first location you literally find if you go down the stairs upon entering the game. Not enough resources and a dungeon, yeah no, there are plenty around the map. You made this video as soon as the game came out, ridiculous video. But yeah i get it you have to get those subscribers off unknowing viewers.
