I've watched the 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012 seasons live. The best seasons I've personally experienced. Lots of emotions, controversies, scandals, etc.. And this 2021 season was right up there, maybe even be the best season I've ever seen. Thanks Max and Lewis for this awesome Battle all out the season! F1 is Love!
@@damarfadlan9251 im interested to see which new rules they will apply after the whole chaos with the championship race. I heard they are reforming quite a lot of rules, and the new car will also be interesting of course!
to be fair, i dont think he did it on purpose. it would require a considerable amount of processing power to predict the trajectories of all the cars involved. And he's not that kind of driver.
Yes I am a Max fan but I am not enjoying this season as much as the 2021 season. I do think that I enjoyed the 2021 season a bit more due to the results after such a great battle. But yeah it was really one of the moste intense seasons in the history of F1.
Side Note: Max finished P1 or P2 all his races except when he was taken out in Silverstone, his tyre blew up in Baku and got hit by Bottas in Hungary. He deserves the title no matter what people say.
I’m a lewis fan and I’ve been busy through out the season so I don’t remember half of it but watching this shows how close max came so so many times but then just something happens. What a great season though
Max is the most aggressive driver I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t yield anything ever. I truly believe that some of his crashes were simply to tell the other drivers that if they want to stay in the race they better yield cause he’s not going to.
And it wouldn't have happened if Lewis hadn't pitted that early. He had a lot of great laps left in those mediums, would've taken a second per lap on Max with his hards. And he only needed 10 seconds more to have a free pit on Checo... First mistake by Mercedes team that sunday
@@hubabava Hamilton was more than just unlucky, he was the victim of a wrongheaded decision which put the show above the sport. He didn’t deserve to lose the title that way - nor would Verstappen had the roles been reversed. Exactly. Had race direction Happy for Verstappen, but the FIA really didn’t wanna let Hamilton wins… the race. I think the results were manipulated
When Bottas was told to take out the 2 Red Bulls. I also love how Lewis tried to claim Max brake checked him when he could have easily gone past at any point.
one of the most idiotic responses ever in any kind of motorsport racing... A nice way to lose your job and be hated by millions right there. Lewis's fans hate him because he robbed the win, Max's fans hate him because max will forever be remembered as being gifted the championship...
Toto wolf should be summoned and warned for interfering in safety matters . He is like giving commands to his dog while talking to FIA officials . He should know he is the boss of Mercedes team and not that of formula 1 . Horner requesting for racing to continue is also equally condemnable . But Toto crossed all the limits . The guys is a real cry baby
@@megarafjogos Seeing this top 10 edit , It's evident that Lewis Hamilton was protected by Masi & FIA throughout the season . From cutting corners in Bahrain to causing devastating crashes in Silverstone . his teammate took out Verstappen at Hungary . He got lucky with the Red flags . He just got a tiny punishment for running illegal car in Brazil . Even in the final race at Abudhabi he gained an unfair advantage at lap 1 which went unpunished . Benefiting all these throughout the year , Masi and FIA became redbull agents after the safety car . What a Mess 🤣
As someone who didn’t grow up watching Senna and Prost for example fighting for the championship I have to say that this was by far the best season I’ve ever seen and I’m so glad that we have those two guys in the sport giving it all they’ve got. Amazing!!
@@Tegneaufreak The FIA back then had a name: Jean Marie Balestre. If Senna wasn't disqualified for taking the wrong way for rejoining the track in '89, he would've been dq'ed for an illegal push-start. In any way, a frenchman made sure a frenchman won that season. Sometimes, that's F1 too.
In 30-40 years, I think the fans not around now will look back on this era in the same way we who weren't around for Senna/Prost look back at that era.
@@sgthulk9 except that's not the case, even if you give Senna the win in Suzuka, he would still need to win in Adelaide which he of course didn't because he crashed out. So prost deserved that championship
Max’s tire blowout was so unfortunate, and then for Hamilton to hit his magic button… we really were destined for the championship lap, given all the crazy stuff that happened
One of the few championships that I have lived in sync while they happen. That legendary duel of a whole season of the young promise against the absolute legend, a whole season full of mixed emotions. It had the best ending anyone could imagine. One of the best seasons I've ever seen.
would have been the best ending if it wasnt decided by a late SC tbh, they both deserved it. the SC was only nice for verstappen fans tbh and they'll defend it with their lives
@@manbroBE Lewis could have made a pitstop but he didn't. If he would have done a pitstop I'm sure that Lewis would have won the championship. He had a chance but he just didn't take it. So as a Verstappen fan I am of course very happy with the result but I do think that both drivers had equal chances in this race.
@@Gigantopithecus69 There are so many variables to the championship though, with Lewis having a great bit of luck to even make it a close fight. Bottas punting Max at that race start which majorly damaged his car so he only got to around 8th losing massive points, Hamilton being allowed to unlap himself because of the red flag from Russell and Bottas which was a major point swing, and of course Verstappen's tire exploding. Not even factoring in Silverstone it was only a close fight in the end because of a fair amount of luck.
Definitely needs a Part II. Max Brazil move, Checo defenses against Lewis, Alonso defense, Lewis solo grid start, Valtteri pitstop mess, all shock podiums/victories by other than Lewis-Max-Valtteri. Plus probably more. Extremely great season.
Now I think to understand what people want to say when they talk about the intense Senna-Prost duels for the championship or what Formula 1 was and how it really should be. Now I understand that if you didn't watch these things in real-time, you simply missed it forever because everything else only gives 1/100th of the insane rollercoaster of emotions you felt in those moments.
@@TheEathos Right, when I was a child I watched F1 from 2002 until 2006 and I always taught those moments as the best I ever watched. Now I'm watching it again since 2017 and every year confirmed this until this season changed my mind. I hope we'll watch something like this with the new rules more often.
@@blumehao I hope we'll watch these things more often to not consider this season an "exception that confirms the rule" and to not fight back with a Toto style answer "No friend, no, no friend! This is so not right!" hahaha :P
My favorite sport, very thrilling and keeps you on your seats edge. Following since nearly 25 years. My favorite is of course Michael Shumaker, what a gentle person, i wish to see the day he is on his feet. Thanks for sharing Satya. Hoping all is well. Stay blessed always. 🙏🙏🙏
you could’ve added this moments to the list -fernando’s amazing defense against hamilton -ocons first f1 victory -ricciardo winning again in monza -leclerc dns in monaco -perez’s brilliant defense against hamilton i mean this season was full of drama and i’m sure i didn’t mention some other epic moments 😝
@@lynn6800 Not really though, that was entirely his fault. Its one thing to drive fast but it's also another thing to keep your car on the track and not crash
Totally. Someone who drives fiercely like Ayrton has finally come, and enjoying it to the fullest. Waited too long for this. If he gets a slight bit of space, he will go for it all the time. Love to see it.
Absolutely fantastic montage!!! Few key things that could have been included: Ocons P1, Alonso's defense. Perez hunting down Bottas at Paul Ricard, Daniel's Shoey, "Ask him to defend like a lion" from Alonso, Alonso podium, Perez defending at Abu Dhabi, Bottas longest pitstop at Monaco...to name a few!!!
Man it’s crazy that 1) McLaren clearly trust Lando enough to let him make the call on tire choice, 2) just how rude he was to his race engineer when asked about it, and 3) for all that, he made utterly the wrong choice. And even still he’s their golden boy.
in all fairness lando was completely under tons of pressure and adrenaline, they had already asked him prior and he said no, and then he completely owned his mistake lando is a huge talent they just need to tailor the car to him a little better and get that car to be competitive and lando could be taking podiums
Also the last update he got from the team was the rain would stay the same rather than getting heavier which he felt he would have managed. I think there was just too much pressure between the garage and Lando therefore the team didn't give him the latest info. In contrast, Lewis also wanted to stay out but trusted the team's call from the weather forecast.
A lot of people have also forgot about the immediate red flag that came from that incident, VERY conveniently for Lewis Hamilton who had just went off the track into the gravel only seconds before and had dropped to 9th and counting until the red flag.
@@syyeung That's why he sent a personal request to Masi to let the cars by on the last lap in Abu Dhabi. Didn't want to take a championship that was rightfully Max's.
@@luku9065 it was kinda unfair because the race control said unlapped cars not to overtake but then they decided that they can overtake so kinda not fair.
This was a great season that had it all. But I'm glad Leclerc and Verstappen are racing different against each other then Hamilton and Verstappen. It's nice to see them getting along and having respect for each other.
Yeah, even though Max is my first pick, i do feel bad for Leclerc when he's got bad luck again. If Leclerc went to Red Bull, i think he might beat Max to the championship, as Max doesn't really battle with Leclerc, but Leclerc is more willing to start the duels, kinda like Max would with Hamilton. Then again, every time Leclerc retires, it means Max is getting extra points, so it's kind of a double feeling.
@@Games_and_Music I hope that he doesn't get any bad luck anymore. We need him to keep the championship Interresting. Max is learning that it takes 23 races to win the championship so he tries to battle Leclerc, but isn't taking to much risks. But same for Leclerc. They have the same age, background and they are both really fast. They are used to racing like they do. Hamilton wasn't last year and when things don't go like Hamilton plans you get a championship like last year.
Looking back at it 2021 was such a messy season for merc they were so lucky to even be in contention at AD, and tbf that was mostly down to crashing out the competition
People say anything on the internet, don't worry. If correct rules were used, Lewis would be champion. Still I am happy for Max, because I love controversy!
I'm not I just got to witness how rules can just be manipulated in the name of excitement in this sport. Sure every sport is unfair in some way but at least they a more strict and consistent rulebook. Doubt i'll recommend to anyone.
What a season. I remember thinking Copse wouldn't be topped for drama. Then Monza happened. Then Sochi. Then the Saudi mayhem. But nothing could prepare any of us for Abu Dhabi.
Impressed that F1 managed to narrow it down into 10 considering how dramatic this whole season has been. Might as well throw the whole season in 😂😂. Thank u F1 2021 this will be a season we’ll never forget and probably talk about for 20 years
You know the season was so exciting when you get pumped even just by watching the clips. Man i hope the field gets bunched closer next year. That season was one for the books!
Congratulations to this great F1 season 2021! That was epic! I've never seen such an amazing finale! Max Verstappen was back in a league of his own & he has been driving around the ears of all other F1 drivers since 2021! Max is the king of Formula 1! Congratulations to Max Verstappen and to the Red Bull Racing Team!
He tries to influence ("manipulate" lol) stewards. Experience with the system and giving it his best to win on all fronts. That's ok, now just has to lose with a little more grace as well if that's the persona he wants to create for his legacy. If he would spend a little less time with the politics of it all and his future I think he might be happier though, but who knows.
We will never forget this season, thank you max and lewis for bringing us along for the ride. Congrats max for the first title, may you win many more. And congrats to merc for your eight constructors title
@@Wolfywolf7 oh, missed that stream! Well, his behavior is understandable but yeah it kinda deminishes the other drivers, trust me many people do this in karting as well. bit btichy tho.

This list could have had 15 or even 20 spots. There was so much drama, excitement and controversy this season. Can't wait to see what 2022 has in store.
The resilience by Max to fight back even when the last few races weren’t going his way is incredible. Not to mention the fight Lewis put on to win multiple races in a row to get back in the championship. What a season. Can’t wait for next year.
Max will another and it will feel alot better than this championship. No natter what it's tarnished. Great season. Michael masi won it. 2 great racers go again next year. Must be frustrating for both of them
@@crazypats1227 If you think this season was tarnished you haven't been watching F1 for long. Maybe ping pong is a more perfect sport? Honestly there are calls made every year in F1 that drivers and teams object to but the race goes on. One driver can get a tire puncture and be out while another from behind wins the race. That's not a tarnished win. That's a win. Max may win another championship but he has not indicated he feels the least bit bad about this one. Seems pretty happy to me. There are rules of course and that all comes into play. We hope for perfect calls but it doesn't always happen.

It could very well have ensured Hamilton was able to close out the victory. I am not a lewis fan and i just see things unemonatiolly. I love how the top 4 most dramatic moments are all ones involving Max and Lewis 4. Max and Lewis coming together at Saudi Arabia 3. Max and Lewis coming together at Italy 2. Max and Lewis coming together at Silverstone 1. The championship decider between Max and Lewis
Dont forget Lewis horrible braking habits where he gave up positions,...Namely at Azerbaijan where he failed the first corner as if he had no idea how to turn or slow down correctly, and when he left his self wide open for Max to move in during the last race and braked way too early allowing max to take the apex correctly and cut him off
@@Shadow0fd3ath24 Jesus Christ dude you’re wrong on absolutely everything you commented on Did you even watch the season? 🤔 judging by your comment clearly not
2021 was one of the best seasons in Formula 1. With many truly incredible races and epic battles between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, from the first race in Bahrain to the World Champion Decider on the final round showdown in Abu Dhabi making this 2021 Formula 1 World Championship was a very historical season and will always remembered by all of us.
What gives me goosebumps about the Monza Max-Lewis crash is that it’s like they were fated to collide. They came together only because they both had unusually long pit stops: Max’s was 11 seconds long (I don’t think he was serving a penalty or had damage, so a rare mistake from RB pit crew), and Lewis’ was 4 seconds long, nearly twice the average pit stop.
That "mistake" from Red Bull pit crew was because the light for the release didn't go out. And that was also because of rule changes that a pit stop was not allowed to go faster than 2 seconds. And that rule change was implemented because Mercedes was complaining that such a thing was "unsafe". It was purely aimed at Red Bull because Mercedes were whiney because Red Bull had the fastest pit stops and Mercedes didn't.
@@orphid you've exaggerated so much here mate, it's hilarious. This is coming from a McLaren fan not even a Mercedes one - the FIA decided to disallow a special component all pit crew members use in their tire guns. That missing component means the job that component completed now has to be done manually, which is why every single team on the grid is WAY slower at pitstops (especially McLaren). If anything, Red Bull have adapted best and are performing almost as well as before (2-2.2 vs the 1.9 last year). Ferrari have also greatly improved but basically every other car on track stayed the same or got slower. I hope theu bring back that component, I loved seeing the fast pit stops man!
@@tanyaghosh1311 they had 9/10 best pitstops this year which is still very impressive but compared to last year when it was 1.8-1.9s pitstops and the rest were having 2.0-2.2s its a big change. Mercedes and Red Bull are very close in pitstops now.
I love the fact that Max and Lewis always remained respectful towards one another, whilst their teambosses went at each others and Masi's throats like rabid dogs.
Im not even gonna lie, I was cheering for Max during the entire season, mainly due to the fact that I was a bit bored with the absolute Mercedes dominance we have been seeing for the last few years, but seeing Lewis after that last lap, so close to history, and still accepting defeat in such a graceful way, publicly congratulating Max, his father, and Redbull, really makes me appreciate Lewis's growth as a person over the years. Wish him all of the best. Hopefully next season will give us some thrillers like the banger that was the 2021 season.
@@koko400gt Ah, so edgy. Surely Hamilton can take a little time off after a long season. Even more so when losing the title in such a controversial way.
