If you watch closely to where the shaft hits the bottom...you ll understand that i wasnt aiming directly at the fish but right next to it... It actually moved to the shaft!I guessed the shot!

@@TheoYianniFishing it's just for the benefit of the few commercial fisherman!Not for the benefit of the fish itself! Italy for example gives you the right to get a tuna and it's just miles away...we actually catch the same fish...

You are seriously a master! What perfect head shots. The tuna absolutely blew me away. I just caught my first decent Sfyrida (Epinephelus Costae - could you please put Greek names too? Or at least english names? It would help us newbies!) yesterday, around the same size as the one you show here, but I was lucky! I'm only spearing since April in the Saronic. Sure wish I could get some tips from you. Bravo File!!!
Ηello Philip...sfyrida is the white grouper of epinephelus aeneus...epi.costae or goldbloch grouper is what we call here Stira!Saronic is propably one of the most difficult places to fish in whole Greece!So if you are catching sfyrides already... i really dont think you need my help!!! :D
I was lucky on that last one, it was just waiting for me... I have so much to learn, but I am really loving it. The one I caught is the one with golden brown and cream colored stripes that the smaller ones seem to have stronger, until they get that size. It measured 54cm, but I cut it up for steaks and a soup before I weighed it lol. So all the little ones I see everywhere, living in the same style as Rofos, with the same brown and cream stripes, are baby Stira? I thought they were Sfyrida! This chart must be wrong then! www.explorecrete.com/nature/fish-1.html It's the only one I have found with pictures of the fish underwater instead of an illustration of them after catching. Fish change so much once they are out of the water! Do you know a better reference chart with photos? You should make a good page with that yourself, it would be really useful to more than just spearos.

As long as i know meditarranean tuna is strictly protected and very endangered, at least in spanish mediterranean coast is completely forbidden to catch them
Στη 5 black την εχω με 1440 80 fps και δειχνει σουπερ αλλα ακομα κι ετσι δεν μπορω να δω την βεργα Φταιει ισως το γεγονος οτι την εχω πανω στο οπλο οποτε παιζει και η ανάκρουση ρόλο
