You can´t mean the 10 BEST players, you mean number of games. Borg only played around 45 matches, but he only lost two games, both against Panatta, in 73 when he was too young, and in 76, when he struggled with a stretched stomach muscle

It’s based on match wins. Not titles . ASV had a walkover win in 1999 4th round against MJF. She would have one more win than Evert if MaryJoe had played and lost obviously. Novak is now up to 3rd place for match wins after this year

She also lost in the first round twice and the second round once and the 4th round once . And keys face it , she did not face quality competition in her wins . She deserved them but she wasn’t beating a Graf or Seles type of champion to win her titles .
