In this video, I’m going to show you the startup stories about the biggest startup failures of all time, so that we can learn what to do and what not do to avoid becoming a startup failure. We go back 3 decades to compile a Top 10 list of the biggest failed startups.
I’ve researched all kinds of different sources and compiled a list of the Top 10 biggest failures of all time when looking at how much was invested and lost. There are billions and billions lost on this list alone.

I will show you why they failed and what we can learn from their failure. These are some compelling startup stories that are fascinating as well as entertaining. So who makes the Top 10 list, does Munchery? Anki? Or maybe Solyndra and Theranos, you will see it all in this list.
Finally, we will look at an overview of the Top 10 and see what they have in common. You will be surprised by some of the findings as we look at the reasons for failure.

Nice video. It reminds me on the time I spent at Motorola. They were making a lot of money in the late 80's and 90's. Then some of the top executives came up with the Iridium project. 77 low earth satellites for analog communications. Meant for the high end executives that need to make calls from anywhere in the world. Most of the engineering staff that I worked with agreed it was a bad way to go(not enough market for the cost & analog? not digital). Motorola even brought in many other investors to help pay for it. The project tanked near the point of launching the satellites. It cost them and other investors 100's of millions. Motorola was sued over and over again. They had to sell much of there businesses.

Very glad you liked it, yes that is a great story, I do remember Iridium. I really like ambitious and gutsy projects, but we have to be a little bit more careful when we deploy that much money.

The wework was crazy on all levels. Bad management, falsified impression with an overvalued brand. Pretty much similar to what happened with Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos.
