The fact that the majority of these performances are from the mid 90’s highlights just how good they were as a live band circa 1995. I honestly believe they were/have never been better than they were on the These Days tour.

When I watch Dry County 95 I always find myself instinctively replaying the guitar solo 2-3 times. Muscle memory at this point lol. Still never fails to make me smile though no matter how many times I have/ or will see it. Who is at the center of these magnificent moments? Richard Stephen Sambora! The incredible talent and soul of BonJovi! Never would BonJovi have been great without him! Richie's guitar is the face of BonJovi. And he still has a beautiful voice! With Richie gone, BonJovi lost their meaning, just selling out past merits...

I have loved Bon Jovi since 1984 and been going to their concerts since 1986. This incredible band ROCKS HARD and Jon Bon Jovi gives everything to his fans in concert. They were so amazing in the 1980s! They gave their audience a show as well as the most memorable performances I’ve ever seen from any band. Watch the MTV Video Music Awards in LA from 1989 with Jon and Richie on acoustic guitar doing “Livin’ on a Prayer’ and “Wanted” and you will see perfection.

Great list. And the These Days era was peak BJ for me, as a european fan they really ruled the world around 94-96 here it felt, the band was so tight and JBJ was such a frontman. Modern era post 2000 'hard rock moments' are far fewer to come by, but there are some rocking live performances of Undivided (perhaps their heaviest ever riff?), Have a nice day, and Keep the Faith to be found still.

1. Did you notice how beautifully John used tolhe Keep on rocking in the free world's structure for his August 7th 4:15 song? 2. Dry county solo can go head to head with any other from any other band any given genre of music. Richie is a monster in combining the feel for the music with power of expression. A flawless technician with a soulful complete understanding of music that's wonderful. 3. When the album came out and I first heard if I was your mother I thought to myself my God the band is going a great step in the right direction that was a marvelous experience. 4. Hey God especially live can be a true shocker to somebody who knows bon Jovi by bed of roses and I'll be there for you. 5. A few songs are missing to show bon Jovi as a hard rock band and these are homebound train, 99 in the shade, and hook me up, or maybe even undivided. 6. And there's one more song that's especially close to my heart that shows how hard one job you can go; it's a powerful ballad in both versions fast one and slow one and it's titled last Man standing, it's a rocking masterpiece and the tributes to true music.

I don't understand why people get so fixated on the playing of the guitar or how hard it is played. What counts at the end of the day is the pleasure people get from listening a song and Bon Jovi has produced so many masterpieces wether they sound pop, power ballads, hard rock or whatever.

For me, I would say it was the live performance of I'd Die For You played live in the National Bowl, Milton Keynes, England back in 1989. I was small when Bon Jovi were living out their big-haired dreams thanks to the immense successes of both Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. Since they had long hair, performed with a powerful guitar driven sound and wrote and performed anthemic songs, I thought they were a heavy metal band back then. Then somebody showed me bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Ozzy, Savatage and of course Black Sabbath. That taught me the difference between hard rock and heavy metal pretty well.

Great list!!!! Not surprised to find most of the list is comprised of KTF and These Days, especially the Live in Wimbley concert. New Jersey, KTF, and These Days are killer albums and concerts. And the Wimbley concert, at least for me, is peak Bon Jovi. The only adds I would make to the list as an Honorable Mention would be: 1) The acoustic versions of Prayer and Wanted on MTV. As we all know, that performance started the entire MTV Unplugged series. 2) A Little Help from My Friends from the Rock and Roll HOF event in 1995. Absolute perfection, and Jon's voice at this point was absolutely unmatched! Again, great list!
