Illuminae is one of the best books I've read so far this year and Fangirl is definitely my favorite Rainbow Rowell Book hopefully you enjoy both of them :)
Daughter of Smoke and Bone is my all time favourite series!! Laini Taylor's writing is BEAUTIFUL! She creates such vivid descriptions, and the characters development is FANTASTIC!
Daughter of Smoke and Bone is amazing! Also, I recently read Illuminae and it saved me from my book slump. So good. I've had the Mistborn series sitting in my TBR for two years now and I still haven't gotten round to them. I'm sure I'll love them, but whenever I look at the size of them it's a 'sheesh, that's an investment' moment, haha.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone is AMAZING! I loved it. The language is so beautiful. And Name of the Wind is also incredible. I'm also a fanatic fangirl of Rainbow Rowell. So these three need to come first. I hereby decree. ;)
Omg I want to read the Grisha Trilogy, Mistborn, and Fangirl too! Forever on the TBR... lol Also, Name of the Wind and Daughter of Smoke and Bone are both FANTASTIC Good luck with all the reading!
Wow, I think you fall will be amazingly good, you have such good readings to get through. I can only say that Mistborn and The Name of the Wind are, both, my top favorite high fantasy at all, I am so happy that you'll be reading these books!!
You is quite interesting. I can't wait to hear what you think of it. I tried reading Illuminae but i found it difficult to follow because of the format. Ah the Diviners is such a beautiful cover and I still need to read it as well! Great video. I totally added a few of these to my tbr
so excited to see that you're planning to read Name of the Wind. I read both the books last month. The writing is beautiful and the way Patrick rothfuss writes about music is amazing.
I always see The Grace Keepers on other channels and want to read it so bad! I am even more interested now that you mentioned it similar to The Night Circus.
Thank u for your amazing synopsis of amazing books suggestions and reviews I loved all of the books you provided brief reviews without spoilers I have only visited your channel late September and I have enjoyed the likes of: The Sun is Also A Star, Homegoing, Night Circus, All the Light We Cannot See, Six of Crows and currently reading Crooked Kingdom! Please keep the encouragement, and descriptions coming! Your channel is a wealth of information and I enjoy watching!
I just started The Diviners. I was expecting not to like it, since the synopsis contains so many elements that are not my buzzwords. But I'm surprised to say that I'm really enjoying it! I'm reading it on audio and the audiobook is really engaging! Fangirl was one of the first books I read when I joined BookTube (and started reading as a hobby) and it made my favorites list, just like you said. I've been meaning to re-read it to see if it holds up to those initial thoughts I had about it. Happy reading!
I was curious about Illuminae's format when I picked it up and I fell in love with it, so I hope you enjoy it! It was actually a really neat way to read a story. Also, Fangirl is my favorite Rainbow Rowell book I've read, so another one I hope you enjoy! Looks like I'm now going to be picking you "You" around Halloween too! Such an intriguing synopsis you gave. Also, I have "The Encyclopedia of Early Earth" sitting on my desk for me to read this fall thanks to your videos :)
I really enjoyed Illuminae and Fangirl! I hope you enjoy both of them as much as I did! I'm also definitely planning on completing the Grisha trilogy this fall.
Fantastic video as usual Hannah! I just wanted to tell you that I just finished The Night Circus and I absolutely loved it, so thank you very very much for recommending it! 💘
I'm currently reading The Name of The Wind, and I can't put it down!! it's such a good story and you will just love the characters, I'm sure you'll like it. Also, Fangirl was a very adorable and relatable story that i really liked reading, I think you'll love that one too.
Is the Daughter of Smoke and Bone book you have the UK one? That cover is even better than the one I usually see. You seemed to have leaned toward really thick ones. Hope you'll get them all read! I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone but forgot to read the other two after. I want to read all of these though. My husband is pushing me to do Mistborn but I probably won't get to it til next year! I plan to read your favorite, The Night Circus, next month. Mostly trying to finish series but I'd also like to read Kiss of Deception since I didn't get to it in August.
Yep it's the UK hardcover! Mistborn is totally worth the wait, it's absolutely wonderful! ❤️ Let me know what you think of The Night Circus when you get to it! Happy reading! 😊
We have such similar Fall TBRs. I definitely agree about avoiding plots with high fantasy books. I just like to go in blind and then let the immersion do its work. Also, I love that edition of Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I'm assuming that's the UK editions?
I'm hoping to read the 3rd Mistborn book this month. I just read the first 2, and I'm loving this series, too. I seriously wonder how Brandon Sanderson even comes up with the crazy magic systems that he comes up with. The Name of the Wind is so good! It's definitely a great book to go into blind, for sure.
Omg, I just started reading Laini Taylor's series AGAIN! It's definitely in the Top 5 of all time best series for me-INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, EPIC!! I could gush about it for days, I kid you not! Also, Illuminae is magnificent!!
The Gracekeepers cover is so beautiful! I've heard mixed reviews on the book but I think it's always necessary to try things out for yourself! I hope you get to all the books you want to :)
I want to read Illuminae so badly!! I really like it from what I've read so far!! I hope you enjoy it and I'd love to hear your thoughts when you finish!! :D
I've been wanting to read Shadow and Bone for a while. But I've been wondering if I should get with the Six of Crows fandom. I guess we'll see! A fall recommend I have for you is Something In Between by Melissa De La Cruz. It comes out on the 27th of September and even though I haven't read it yet it looks like it'll be a good book and it's diverse! :)!
All I have to say about the mistborn trilogy is be prepared to be broken in every way. I'm also excited that you're going to read the diviners. I read that last year and loved it; it's a really good creepy, Halloween read. I've actually been hearing that the third book is supposed to come out next year, which I hope is true. I've read Daughter of Smoke and Bone and liked it. If you can do audiobooks, I think Name of the Wind is one of the best ones I have ever listened to :)
I had to just pause the video for a second to say.. YES YES YES DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BOKE IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT FOR FALL! FROM THE ATMOSPHERE TO THE ROMANCE TO THE WORLD...PERFECTION
Yess, the Daughter of Smoke and Bone is one of my favorites, I love it sooo much, it is exciting and beautiful and unique, I hope you'll like it (and all the other ones as well)! :) And as for me, The Night Circus is on the top of my Fall TBR :D
xD...I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone...Its one of my favourite books of all time...It's right up there on my list with Six of Crows and Throne of Glass and TID...
Actually You is written in first person with the narrator referring to the object of his "affection" in the second. And prepare yourself to start liking Joe and hating everyone else. The disturbing thing is that we are everyone else, which is what made this book brilliant for me. Hope you like it! And I think you're going to love Daughter of Smoke and Bone. It has beautiful writing and an unique world. I loved it! I'm new to your channel, but am loving all your videos so far! :D
I got Illuminae from Amazon, but I have 5 other books I need to read before I read that one. I heard its good. I picked up The Wrath and the Dawn as well, but I'm disappointed with its height; it seems short. The Name of the Wind is a fast read, I read it in two days!
You should definitely read The Rithmatist by Brandon Sanderson if you haven't already. It's a YA steampunk/fantasy novel about people who can do magic with chalk. It's a strange premise, but it is SO FREAKING GOOD, I've re-read it more than five times and it never gets old.
Illuminae and Fangirl are both so good and I just love them, really hope you enjoy it :) also I have been dying to read the Grisha trilogy after SOC, and You too, but can't seem to find them in stores near me :(
Ahhh I hope I love them as much as you did! 😊 Maybe your library has them? If not, I think bookoutlet had some of the Grisha books for pretty cheap a little while ago. That's where I got my copy of Ruin and Rising :D
'The Diviners' is my favorite book of all time and it's perfect for Halloween. It's not scary by all means but it can give you some creeps sometimes. I'm looking forward to know what you'll think of it.
I really like the Grisha Trilogy. Unfortunately the second book is a little bit slow and the preparation for the final book. I really want to read "Six of Crows" :)
I just bought the Mistborn series from bookdepository and it should be getting to me in a few days- I can't wait to read that. Let us know what you think about the second and third books once you finish!
I haven't read any of these, BUT I do suggest the Level 26 trilogy. It's PHENOMENAL! It's a thriller about a detective who is assigned to catch a criminal that is placed as a level 26 killer (scale from 1-26 from least to most dangerous - this killer ever being the ONLY one to be put as a level 26 killer) the awesome thing about it is that after a few chapters you can sign onto the website and watch a little movie clip of what you just read. One of my favorites of all time HIGHLY recommend it to anyone
Omg Hannah read Fangirl!!! It's so cute! Rainbow Rowell writes literal sunshine!!💗 By the way, if you see this, what book are you reading right now?!? I think it's a graphic novel? The graphics are so funny and relatable lol😂
Sitting on your what? DVR? TBR? What is DNF? Sorry i guess i'm not to book/youtube lingo haha, also can you list the books in the description box? I'm having trouble finding some
Hi! I thought i should help you out. Yes, she said TBR which means To Be Read, so it's basically the books she has yet to be read. DNF means when you are reading a book and you dislike it o don't feel like reading it anymore so you just put it down unfinished. Hope this helps you out !
I just finished Empire of Storms and I'll be reviewing it soon, but I've read all the other ones on your list and they're all fabulous and I highly recommend them all! (I recommend starting with Six of Crows because the sequel comes out soon 😊) 💗💗
