WOW, that's news to me, Eric Spear was only paid £6 to create the most iconic theme tune (Coronation Street) on UK TV! That's crazy!

The Cook Report (1989-1990 & 1991-1994), 999 (1992-1999), Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends (Series 1-7), TUGS, Robot Wars (Classic Series), Blockbusters (Bob Holness Era), Knightmare, Treasure Hunt, The Crystal Maze, Gladiators & The Great British Bake Off are All Bangers of Theme tunes!

Game show wise: I think the best themes are Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (Dramatic suspense music) The Weakest Link (Dauntingly dramatic) Family Fortunes (Jazzy and groovy music) The Crystal Maze (Adventurous)

I agree with other comments about doing a kids tv show version of this, ones that come to mind are Danger Mouse, Rainbow, Art Attack, and Horrid Henry. Antiques Roadshow theme is a classic, surprised it wasn’t on here. Other themes worth mentioning because they are equally as iconic are Fawlty Towers, Emmerdale, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Tales of the Unexpected, Heartbeat, Doctors, Strictly Come Dancing, Wallace and Gromit, and many more to be honest.

I think you could do a top 20 and not cover all the great themes. Some of my favourites not mentioned: Minder A Touch of Frost The original Masterchef theme The Adventures of Black Beauty Keeping Up Appearances Take the High Road Challenge Anneka Wish You Were Here Live & Kicking Wheel of Fortune Second theme to Grange Hill - I was a child in the 90s and grew up watching Grange Hill with that theme, not the original so I prefer it. Last of the Summer Wine The Crystal Maze "Forcefield" Fun House Chucklevision One last mention. I know this show was presented by Rolf Harris but that aside, I have always liked the Animal Hospital theme music.

I grew up in the 90s too, so i agree with the Grange Hill tune, brings back wonderful memories of all the classic shows i watched. We were blessed my friend, today's youth wish they had the 90s to grow up in.

No Blackadder, Vicar of Dibley, Fawlty Towers, Sherlock, Line of Duty, Ghosts, Bake off, MasterChef, I'm a Celebrity get me outta here, Gladiators, Crystal Maze, One foot in the grave or the Young ones, I got go on and on so I hope you will do another one but make it either the top 100 or 50 at least

Not a single Ronnie Hazlehurst theme (Are You Being Served?, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, Last of the Summer Wine, The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, To the Manor Born, Yes, Minister, Yes, Prime Minister, Just Good Friends, Three Up, Two Down, Sorry!, Butterflies, The Two Ronnies, Blankety Blank, The Generation Game and Wogan to name but a few!), nor Knightmare, or Grandstand. Could have done a Top 50 and still not covered all the bases, to be fair!

Rising Damp should have been included. If you have never seen the show, the theme music gives you the general feeling right off. You know you're likely to see a dodgy rooming house, a cranky landlord, and frustrated tenants.
