Dwayne Johnson kinda flip flops on his position... not like trump, but "he wants to please everybody" (then vote for the guy who _won't_ kill half the nation). Tom Hanks probably has no chance. When he was approached about using his hotel for Home Alone 2, he said that the only way he'd do it is if they gave him a short cameo in the movie. There was some arguing, he did some bullying, but everybody finally agreed on what you see in the movie. There was also some legal stuff, like having his name in the end credits, his cameo could never be edited out, etc.
Fun fact: DT said he wouldn't let production use his hotel unless he was offered the cameo in the movie. As a performer myself, I was thrilled the union gave him the boot!

They did this in the early 2000’s and it was a major flop. There wasn’t much of a difference between that presidential election and the presidential election before it. I want to say it was for the Bush vs. Gore election. I was too young to vote anyway, so I couldn’t sign up/register. I didn’t turn 18 until 2006. So I was underage and stuff when the celebs did that marketing. But I remember hearing it was a major flop/waste of time.
