Got lucky after watching this video and managed to land a one-night stay in my favorite hostal in Kyoto. So I'll be enjoying the blossoms this year too.

Was here last year! The ones I liked most was when we got lost trying to walk from Tofukuji station going to Kiyomizudera.(lol dont walk it was far.) It was a tiny local park with a few swings. I liked it coz no tourist was there and the trees were thick and full of flowers.

I was in Kyoto last year (end of march). There is a beautiful park that is 7 minutes walk from kyoto station, Shosei-en Garden. It felt like it was off the beaten path. Not crowded, had great picture opportunities with bridges, lake, statue, bonsai and cherry blossom trees. We ran across it after visiting Higashihonganji Temple.

Dream Journey JPN Nice guide!! good info about cherry blossom spot! I recommend along Takano-gawa River! channel art was taken there. it's verry beautiful and nice spot to see them. BUT there are not many people!!!!

I don't know why you guys are so underrated? damn why everytime i inspired to visit Kyoto again & again. actually this time i planned my trip to S.Korea (Seoul, Busan & Jeju Island) Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Toyama & Kanazawa) & Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur). Also please make one video on Shinkasen (Nozomi, Hikari & Kadama). I remember when i took my first ride from Shin-Osaka to Kyoto on Japan's fastest train Nozomi, i know it was very short ride but dont have much information about these trains.
