I can really recommend Trine 1-2-3, with a good partner it's really fun to play ... and you can easily take a break/take it easy/talk over what to do, as hardly ever the game 'is pushing' ... like new enemies spawning all the time orso. You can also easily swap characters, so it's easy to 'hand over' the puzzle solving (so the one newer/worse with gaming can have a try).

Same with other people that are 'bad' at video games, like your kids or whatever... coop is about, well: cooperation, not 'besting' your friend (although sometimes it's fun to pickup and just toss 'Luigi' into the fire if that player kept on dying, it's not much fun if you're being competitive in COOP games. And after the Xth toss they won't wanna play with you anymore. Also, even if puzzles seem obvious to you, let the other player have a go at it at least ones in a while ... they won't improve 'their gaming' if you pre-chew everything!!! Getting a good 'gaming buddy' means patience (while they 'get a hang of it') and teaching them, not belittling/berating them ... I mean: in the end you'd want a 'partner' that's around your 'gaming-level', don't you? (Also, it's a lot more fun and appreciated that way!)

Plus the trick is: It doesn't matter, just talk to them and genuinely be interested about stuff, they are doing and that is important to them. If her stuff doesn't interested you at all, you probably want nothing to do with her in the long run anyway.

In order to get a girlfriend one must be likeable, have good communication, and not be selfish. If you can do those things then yes there's someone out there for you. If you're not willing to do any of those things, you're probably not willing to have a girlfriend. Relationships take work if you aren't willing to work at it, it's not worth it to try until you are.

Oh and to clarify "good communication" that means being honest. Not mean but lovingly honest.

When I met my wife I had "The last of us" sitting in my room unplayed. It came with my PS4, but I can't do jump-scare horror games, they fray my nerves and I jump at literally everything after an hour or so. But I watched her play it and that was pretty fun. I really liked it's story line.

That being said, I also watched her play Kingdom Hearts 1 (remastered) and she just got frustrated with that one, the camera is a lot more difficult to work with for people who didn't grow up with a camera you have to actively control.

Me and my gf love playing Outlast it's one of our favorite things to do together

I SOOO love the music, and the intro's of all the levels etc!!!! It always sounded like a soothing fairy tale telling!! I can't wait for the Switch HD version. Was pretty hard to play it with more than 2 players on GC back then (enough cables, enough GBA's etc)! I do hope that Moogle is still around with just 2 players though, most annoying thing about 2 players was that 1 person always had to carry/move that chalice!! Kinda felt like being 'Cappy' or 'the cursor' in Mario Oddesey/Galaxy! >_

SIngle-player games can be quite fun to play together with a (girl)friend too ... if you're not playing, you can snack/drink .. if you're playing and want to snack/drink, pass the controller ('new player' needs to wash hands first though, nobody likes a sticky controller ;) ). Played a lot of games in my teens that way, like Castlevania: Symphony of the Nights etc.

Good list! The only one we haven't played is Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Otherwise, all of those are some of mine and my girlfriend's top games (Terraria!). Agreed about Borderlands, but I still really like the games. The MMO we play most together is Guild Wars 2. Any action RPG is a good bet most of the time.
