I appreciate that! The budget videos are regularly scheduled programing, with one a month. I hope you’re enjoying some of the other content in-between as well!
Thanks for the Spectre 54 tip. I bought my favorite characters appearences out of the last Terrifics run and became curious about Mr. Fantastic. I'm gonna wait for people to get bored with the Gunn post then find one, I'll probably look for it in the wild in the meantime.
Hi Cobermai! I know Kirksville well! I’m actually from closer up that way, but wound up in Columbia for college. Where are you getting your comics at up that way these days? I heard Spud’s opened back up across the border. I need to head up and check them out again. It’s been A LONG time since I was last there.
@@CoMoComicBooks I actually end up usually just traveling to Columbia for my comics! I try to make it down there once or twice a month. I haven’t got the chance to make it over to Spuds yet but I’m planning on checking them out soon.
Great video as always, Drew! I bought a NM+ copy of Spectre 54 about earlier this year and felt like I overpaid a little, but I have zero regrets, especially with it taking off right now. There's just something about that cover that I love.
I don’t know about this King stuff, but I did manage to scrape together a video last week. Might be a little delay on the next one as I’ve been hit with the flu all week. Ugh…
Happy holidays Drew!!! Thank you for another wonderful video I'm always glad to see that I own at least one book that you're talking about this time I own the Marvel team up!!! I definitely think that Harley Quinn cover is amazing and I need a copy for my daughter's collection. Would love to see some of your golden age books I am so addicted to the four color stuff with Carl Banks right now. Too bad I can't afford most of them lol. Thanks again for an awesome video and take care buddy
Happy holidays Jason! Barks ducks are classic funny animal comics and there are so many collectible stories/issues. I hope you’re able to track some down soon!
Last minute of video is a great idea for next video. Key books that have dropped into reach. I’m looking for ss 3, gsx 1, uncanny 94-100, early asm and any other deals too good to pass up
I'm just grabbing my SA Amazing Spider Man's that I am missing. But I did get a Booster Gold #1 , Omega Men #3 as well as the first Red Hulk and 1st Scarlet Spider just to get ahead of the game. Tank Girl is one I've always been curious about. But good luck finding one in the wild. Thanks Drew.
Which would be ironic, as Stan Lee wanted to name the book, The Mutants, but the editor didn't think it would sell cause no one knew what a mutant was. I wonder if Stan the Man Lee is rolling in his grave, may he rest in peace.
Let’s hope the X-Men, and the FF for that matter, both wind up being great additions to the MCU. It would be a shame for them to languish at fox for 20 years and then be mishandled by Disney as well.
@@CoMoComicBooks that would be a dream for me. Wolverine vrs Raptors like in the Logan/Shanna Savage Wolverine arc would be cool as a pre X-Men intro to the character. I think you would have to Have someone nickname Sauron Sauron though as everyone will just rolls the eyes now after the popularity of LOTR in recent years.
The DBZ wave missed me too somehow. Power Rangers were becoming a thing right when I was growing a liking towards females. Lol. U must be around the same age as me.
Okay ao maybe I'm a few years older. Still grew up around the same era. Wasn't it great man? I miss it occasionally but glad to have the memories. Thanks for the awesome content!
@@blackgatecomics I’ve felt like 221 was undervalued for a long time. The massive growth in value last year, was just too much, too fast. I look at a book like UXM266 and feel like 221 is comparable to it or easily could be, but it’s been lagging behind for so long. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit $100 on the regular and jump up to $150 again if we get some sinister news in the next year or two. $40 (or wherever it was) to $225 was unsustainable without some sort of payoff/confirmation.
The older books might keep their value, and for that same reason they are way overpriced. A lot of them the colors from the cover have faded and the pages turn old and yellow. But they still get priced like their in mint condition…
Never fun to find mid or even low grade books priced like high grade books. Especially if you’ve been hunting for an issue for a while and finally find it only to be knocked over by the sticker shock.
Speculators gonna speculate. I feel like this book is one that is very likely to be found in the wild well below the current online FMV. Not a lot of love for DC book of that era, despite the fact that a few more issues seem to pop off each year. Thanks for watching!
@@CoMoComicBooks very true....probably the book I have passed on more then any other the last 3 years...just always had something else grab my attention and $$$ that trumps it 😀
I’m going to have to disagree with you on that Gene. There are a lot of collectors who are extremely devoted to the hobby, but don’t have the financial means to spend even $100. That makes them no less a collector than you or me.
