HI Drew!! Outstanding video! The Top 20 HORROR graded comics under $100 Bronze and silver only, would be an awesome video!!!!!! I would like to focus on Horror for a while. I don't even really know where to start THANK YOU!!!! PS--- can you give me 1or2 Horror comics to start with, that you think will be a good long-term investment?? THANK YOU!!!! 😀😀😀
I just ordered 11 of these based off this review. I already have 30 of the BCW plastic bins, which are twice as expensive. If i'm not satisfied with Geminis, just know it'll be all your fault. j/k great vid.
🎉🎉🎉 I think you’ll like them. I have to get some more for myself. A vendor buddy of mine liked them so much he converted all of his primary convention stock boxes over to them.
Had no idea about Swamp Thing 84! I need to read the Veitch run, as well as the Collins run. The Alan Moore arc is probably my all-time favorite comic run. Great video, as always, Drew!
I’m surprised how low Ms Marvel #1 Vol. 3 is with many sales from $15 including shipping. She’s obviously far from done in the MCU and the show was generally well received. All of Kamala’s books have dropped very steeply to the point I’ve personally been buying a lot of lots for next to nothing because I genuinely love the character.
One of the best things about all of CoMo's videos is the variety, the obscurity of some of the featured comics. These lists almost always have _something_ I didn't even know about! I appreciate your work more & more as time goes on, dude.
I don't read any current Marvel books. But this Muse character interests me. And that Super Villain #9 is a great book. I have a few copies of that NOW version of Terminator #1 as well as #12 - but nobody seems to care much about them when I put them out for sale. I have that Batman Holiday Special in my PC. Bought it years ago and I think back then I paid 8 or 9 dollars for a NM copy. I will buy any Mr Freeze issue there is.
Great videos I always find some cool books from you my man!🔥 Batman Adventures 1 looks like it sky rocketed 😢bc of the announcement of Reeves Batman movie being set in Winter 🥶
There were plenty of current sales that were still pretty reasonable. It may be that the cheaper inventory got bought out and now sellers are trying to gouge on the eBay. Out in the wild, I suspect they won’t be quite as ruthless.
I appreciate the sentiment, but it is a grind to get them out at this pace, with the physical side of the business and real life stuff. But there is plenty of content in the middle to bridge the gap.
Thanks man! The sad thing is that this is the easiest list to put together. There is SO much quality stuff out there that you can get for $5-$20, but we all seem to focus on the usual suspects like ASM300 or NM98 ad nauseam.
I don’t care if X-Men was only part of Saturday mornings… I’m stilling giving it the best Title for animated series weekends, holidays, after school it doesn’t matter! 😂 also a lot of these McFarland books are way overpriced for no reason? I won’t even mention how ridiculous it is for his Signature… like he’s doing anything significant and was on 🔥 when all he’s dropped is those boring Spawn books!
Thanks for the video Drew. Can’t wait for the video in 10-20 years that talks about the X-Men ‘97 WhatNot books of 2024😜. Looking forward to your next video.
Glad to hear it DDLT! They’re fun. It’s crazy how much the hobby has changed since then. When was the last time a hot new book was holding at $4 on the secondary market like so many of these did???
@CoMoComicBooks I started in 1990, my 1st comic was superboy #1, I stopped collecting around 96, although I did pick up 2 silver age books around 2003, but i didn't come back until spawn 296 and it's been a blast!
this is exactly why i never collected modern books....since 1985 it was all gold silver and bronze for me. todays books are absolute trash ....2000 to present .....as far as investment books are concerned. 5 to 6 dollars for a new comic book today?? no thanks
No one, knows what the next 20 years will be like for comics. I really like that you are letting us new collectors, know that . With that I'm a glass half full type , so optimistically I think things will always be good for comic collectors! Thanks for sharing. And keeping comics alive!
Every day there is another 90s/00s book that creeps up in price. I’m confident none of us will be buying private islands on the backs of those books, but don’t completely write them off.
Holy crap! That’s a lot. I use the flat rate boxes. And it’s usually a bit lower than that, but I’m sure they can raise the rate on them at any moment.
Nice countdown. Though we need to say goodbye to both Michael Turner and John Cassady, as this way their heyday. I really miss this era as well. I think I was collecting New X-Men and Punisher.
I had that Batman/Superman and Identity Crisis issues, they can easily be found in dollar bins as for the test on that list as I'm 48 right now I don't have any FOMO for not having them, in the end they'e just worthless paper.
Absolutely. It was definitely a character building period creatively. The industry was still trying to get its footing after fighting off near collapse in the mid-late 90s.
I’m so old, even these books hold no nostalgia for me. 😂 Although that Astonishing X-Men was damn good. I need to re-read, Born Again, Batman: Year One, Miracleman 1-16, Days of Future Past, or even Byrne’s Sensational She Hulk (for some genuinely funny, light fare).
I didnt get back in until 2005, so these even miss me. Just crazy that books like Walking Dead 1 and Invincible 1 weren’t tearing up the charts at the time. They hadn’t hit critical mass yet.
Thanks for watching! Nothing too heavy in these most of the time, but it’s fun to look back and wonder what the hell we were thinking a lot of the time.
I can't watch the video, it's just buffering. Let me try shutting down Limewire😅 Thanks for the list Drew! These are always fun. I love how Wizard puts their own con exclusives on the list AND give them crazy valuations. Your closing thoughts hit the nail on the head 💯
I still like those 90’s X-Men books… they are so appealing bcuz of those Classic covers. I didn’t collect in the 90’s and didn’t have any comic book stores near me, but I went to swampmeet and got comics for $1.
Drew you make it easy to come back to watch your videos they're always entertaining so full of knowledge and we are blessed to have you in the industry sharing all of your knowledge with us!
