Thought I'd let you know that the devs have said they'll be checking this video out for feedback. So great job everyone on making this one happen. You never know, it may actually have made a difference 🥰
@@reaperz03 idk how a megalodon compares to the other dinos in terms of size outside of the game but in game my brain refuses to call it a mega and i just call em sharks cuz as mentioned in the vid they aren't as menacing as we'd like em to be
I know this is old, but I gotta disagree on the Dilpodocus in particular Yes, it’s lack of damage is annoying, but does it really need that? It’s role isn’t made to be a damage dealer, but a mobile tank/battle station, which it does well and does uniquely. If you want a large animal that does damage, get a Bronto, Paracer, or Mammoth. If used correctly, the Diplo becomes very powerful to use
It would be cool if the Bronto had a damage reduction to small dino's too. So if say anything smaller than a Carno attacks it only takes 50% damage or something. It would make it feel like the size of the creature actually makes a difference.
@@abdulmoid267 yeah they tend to but it would make sense for them to do even less damage against something the size of a Bronto. Not saying they should nerf smaller creature damage all together.
@@TheGayling2 well yes , it actually makes sense since it should be very difficult for smaller creatures to even penetrate bronto's skin , so they should deal even less damage but if they make everything so realistic then the game would become boring
I really want the paracer to get a TLC, but I cannot think of what that TLC would be to save my life. Maybe it could get some kind of siege saddle as a nod to war elephants, or maybe it could get a general weight reduction on resources to play into its good carry weight
They need to be faster in my opinion. They are just too slow to even be bothered to head into a swamp to tame one. They cant be picked up, so you better tame one on the edge of the swamp and get ready to run like crazy (at a snails pace) back home. Turn radius needs buffed too. Slow + horrible turn radius = dont bother taming it. Which is a shame, I do think they are cool, just not worth the effort...
Maybe they could let Paracers have a universal Weight reduction? Something like a 40% reduction on all carry weights, and/or a damage reduction thanks to its thick skin.
I'd like to see more tamable creatures who can produce organic alternative resources passively in a similar way like the Achatina with Achatina Paste. Alternative Narc with venomous creatures would be great. Make that Titanoboa tame worth something.
Can't really agree tbh, gachas kinda ruined farming. If theres a farm for everything its pretty boring imo Paste is rare and annoying to make, narcs not really.
@@abc123saad don't be like that... sure.. spiders and scorpions are the epitome of NOPE... But you gotta love a fuzzy flying moth or a gigantic ambush bloodsucker
Stegos already got a tlc plus rock drake needs a buff to its combat capability considering the effort you need to get an egg and raise plus it should be on parr with wyverns and manas sayin how theyre in the same family
I saw a documentary on Discovery about Diplos. They are really docile but if threatened, they were capable of using their tails like whips and used to move it faster than sound. Thus enabling the attacker a state of shock due to such loud noise.
Make Sabertooths able to impale creatures by jumping onto them. Like a mixture of Deinonychus jumping and stego impaling attack. Makes things loose some, but not much hp. But it makes them almost unable to move, either by making it count like a grapple or sth (my fav) or just by reducing movement speed by 90% while impaled
I'd love a megalania tlc they have been completely overshadowed by rock drakes and just don't have the damage output to be reliable in caves which of course is where they are supposed to shine, I'd give them at least a faster climbing speed than their normal walking and let them infect creatures with mega rabies instead of just players.
@@w0s0griffin I agree! Each variant should have its own unique model. Even if it isn't too much difference between them. Take the crystal wyverns for example, they each had a slightly smaller normal wyvern model, but had unique things added to the model for each type. Maybe if they get a tlc, they can make size variations as well as style variations to each wyvern type instead as the same base model. If that makes sense.
When wildcard made the tlc 3 i thought that they would add x variants to the stego and mamooth because on the first TLC pass they added gigantopithecus and direbear to aberration
To the stego, fix the part when it uses the impale attack even if the creature is not on low health because it is not doing any damage to big creatures like that 😪 and to the pack creatures like trikes, stegos, brontos there should be an alpha but without buff just for them to follow it all time and not separating, the vegetables could be the "meat" for the herbivores for thwm to heal bevause veggie cakes are late game and you cant heal your poor herbivore
keep in mind stegos are heavily used in PVP with I think my friend's lines getting up to 100k, that would be way too op since it's fairly easy to grow them especially with tek crop plots. Also, veggie cakes aren't that hard just get honey from bee cave on Crystal Isles and have like 20 crop plots of each veggie and cakes for days
Wait another one is the sarco attack range and some creatures knockback like stego or mamooth they get to much knockback compared to their size a nice addition would be that the stego on the sharpened mode could harvest bodys because they are so annoying and creatures like trikes, ankys and rhinos should also have that because it make sense for them to harvest meat
Meanwhile onix... Exists... Probably..... Like I get sweeping changes but if we are talking tlc (should they ever return) paracer and like every cave tame need some love.
They could add a broken bone ability to saber and terror bird making you being slower but with an especial attack for them not to ee using that 24/7 and if you mive it will make damage 1% of your health every time you walk
Here is my idea for the sabertooth: You can pounce on small to medium creatures and perform an armor piercing attack that also inflicts a long lasting bleeding debuff as in real life the sabertooth most likely would have used it's fangs to finish off prey it gets a hold on.
Honestly fair, like I do like pelo as is, more than most due to it having better stam and weight then ptera (relatively) and having a lower level saddle. Tbh though diving probably wouldn't add much, even something simple like getting a fishing loot buff while mounted and letting it harvest prime fish would be nice.
Also wildcard does always the same makes deinonychus op, forgets raptor makes thyla op, forgets saber raptor needs more health and damage and weight than a deinonychus! Its suppose to be kind of bigger and the saber needs 300health its weaker than purlovia, ravager, direwolf, thyla, :( give it some love wildcard
Actually, Deinonychus were much more powerful then any of the raptor family even Gigantoraptors. Same thing with the thylacoleo to the sabertooth. Thylas were just bigger and stronger in general. Although I agree with making them stronger but not as strong as the deinonychus and thylacoleo.
@@DestructoDino deinonychus got to a maximum length of about 3.4m, utahraptor got to about 5-7m and was much stockier making it stronger in combat. Not exactly sure what you are talking about there
@@godofbananas6005 Boas in ark were never useful. The real life Titanoboa was a 40 foot long snake with good mobility in water that could crush giant crocodiles by constricting around them and tightening itself until their hearts stopped beating. The Titanoboa in ark is a slow moving, completely useless tame that spits venom and sports a frill like a dilophosaurus and is only about the size of a regular f**king anaconda. It can't even constrict creatures. The basilisk in Ark is a better Titanoboa then the Ark Titanoboa.
I always seem to miss the polls! I totally agree the Araneo, Bronto ,Saber, and Quetzel needs a TLC! I'd love to see minor things like Compys need some kind of use? Also why don't all shoulder pets have helmet slots? And I'd love to see the Archaeopteryx become a real shoulder pet instead of a carry dino. Also, why can't Wolves in normal version of Ark wear helmets? :c
@@yourticklechicken4845 it's just weird the discrepancy. I don't really have a problem with that and I know there's more things different between the two versions, but not gonna lie, I'd love to throw a Riot Santa hat on little wolfy
xD i was thinking about something but i dont know xD it will be kind of weird and will never happen but i waw thinking about a boss that was 2 deathworms and when you killed them on alpha version they gived to you a deathworm egg and there could be 2 options 1- they give to you element and deathworm i dont know but what they eat deathworm milk i dont really know and thats what you need for it like the wyvern milk and you can imprint them and they eat that even when they are fully grow, if you are out of food you can fight the alpha, beta , gamma version of the boss for more but of course alpha gives a lot more , that would be cool btw i am talking about scorched earth.
Imo the allosaurus is an excellent tame. If you selective breed a pack of them they are lethal combatants. Also as far as tlcs EVERYTHING that spawns in caves needs a tlc, even if its to its appearance. Megalania, Megalasaurus, Meganura, Ants, Athroplura, Scorpions, Onycs. Everything in caves and also the pteranodon could use an apearrance change
Not sure what kind of tlc scorpion needs but I've found that they have two attack animations for the same attack, one with its tail and one with it's claws. I feel like at the very least it should use these animations for different attacks, like the tail attack doing the same thing it does now and a claw attack that does more damage with less torpor. That being said, I don't know if claws doing more damage than it's tail even makes sense. It's just an idea.
@@sapphirelime2373 an apearance overhaul. I think they should be larger too possibly. Often times its the strange animations and the models that need updated, not viability. The megalania and megalasurus have very messed up running animations
@@kadenceflorence5179 Understandable, but I still feel like the scorpion should do something more. Not as much as other tames though because some creatures need tlc way more.
I think also titanoboa should have a tlc, it's quite hard to tame (same way as a basilisk, but every kind of fertilized egg works) and it doesn't do anything special.
Incredible list! As always a great watch. Your high quality content just makes my day. While I liked the list as I said, I'm a little dissapointed that the carno didn't make it to the honorable mentions. Maybe people use the carno and I don't know about it since most servers I play on I'm the only one using a carno. And other creatures that I want to mention are the dunkleosteus, the dilophosaurus, the phiomia and the carbonemys. Being in my opinion creatures that deserve more love and care as very few people use them now days (especially the dunkleosteus that I litterally forgot existed) *also maybe the Tusoteuthis also can be here*
The years that I’ve studied Marine Biology in school, have taught me many things. One of them being: the Otodus megalodon would of been anywhere in the range of 60 feet and upwards; that’s around three times larger than your average great white shark! Today, the biggest fish in the sea are whale sharks. This massive shark was not only the largest shark to ever live, but also ranked as one of the biggest fish until the species went extinct. For a little added contrast, the maximum length of your average school bus measures approximately 45 feet. :} Scary in reality, a giant, Sharp toothed guppy in Ark.
To be fair that would completely remove them from their current role as an early aquatic threat in shallow waters, simultaneously leaving a massive void since they are the literal only dino with a similar role. It's probably never going to happen as a result.
Trust me, that’s a fair counter for how goddamn overpowered they can get. A pack of low level ones almost killed my 8k health poison wyvern in under 10 seconds. At that point is when I realized how overpowered they really were.
Let’s put it this way: a lone dire wolf has a base attack of around 32. Not too high, about a sabertooth’s damage. But in a pack of 5, with the pack bonus of +4, and mate boosted, their base damage goes up to 105. To put that in perspective, a Rex has a base damage of 62. And you have 5 of these, meaning that a pack of 5 level one direwolves will have a base dps higher than a giga. The main problem, and ONLY problem, being their low health. If their health was higher or they added saddles, they would be the single most powerful tamable thing in ark besides the Titans. Trust me, them not having saddles is MORE than a good balance for an otherwise god-tier tame.
The megalodon should have a sorta pounce ability where at a certain depth it can swim straight up and lunge out the water dealing tones of damage seeing as sharks do that to hunt
Sabertooths should have some kind of unique ability related to their teeth. It's so strange that they didn't from the start in my opinion. What if it could pounce, insta-kill and harvest small creatures with a fancy biting animation.
I tamed a bronto at the "stonehenge" and it is really good, but it needs more stamina and speed for sure. You can walk one into the swamp and just wipe everything with ease(on mobile at least).
Fun fact about sabertooth tigers, is that they actually didn't use their fangs to fight, because they would just break off, they would instead use their paws and claws to atack, so my idea for sabertooth tlc would be so it either has a punce atack, or a completly new feature, which would work as such: If atack is done on a creature smaller than sabertooth, the creature would fall, and would had to get up before being able to do anything (obviously), and if target is the same size as a sabertooth, atacked creature would get stunned for half a second, making sabertooth being able to fight back their enemies even on their own, and secure smaller kills much better
I mean they DID use their fangs, just not like modern cats, it was more to stab deep into the preys neck as a killing blow after wrestling them down. They wouldn't be able to bite and hold like modern big cats, but I also may be out of date here🙃
@@samfish2550 Yea they did, but like you wrote yourself it was more of a killing blow thing just to make sure that their pray is dead, not really a fight thing so I don't see how ARK could make it anything else except op one strike kill
@@zedowskyy9290 fair, though ark is also very much media dinos/rule of cool and a saber just not using it's teeth at all or only rarely using them just wouldn't feel right, regardless of implementation
Yeah, taming them is pain, but the community voted, and the community voted bruhnto. I'm ok with that, at the moment they are just fat meat balls that walk on my house and tamed ones are not that strong and are really slow, the only good thing they have is *b e r r y f a r m i n g* , wich is actually great but nothing else
I agree the bronto and Quetzal needs the tlc the most but the problem is that most people dont use Quetzal anymore but i will always do cause they are my fav flyers no matter what but the bronto also need tlc cause it used to be more tanky until more dinos was added and needs more attacks. Thank you for reading this have a nice day
but i have to say, you can use brontos to run into bases let them die and use their bodies as cover from the turrets to do c4 run but of course it only works for offline raids. (but still i agree)
Megalanias need a tlc Theyre one of my favorite creatures yet I never see anyone use them outside for shits and giggles Their saddle requirement is too high to be used in early game and should be lowered drastically so they can have a purpose on rag, extinction and other maps with common megalania spawns A camo ability like the drake paired with a midgame saddle requirement would be awesome Their spawn rates on maps like the island should be changed, because you rarely ever see a good high level megalania outside rag
Araneo absolutely needs a TLC. Climbing and web bolas are great ideas for abilities that it could have. I'd say maybe web ziplines or a weaker version of the broodmother's venom spit could also work as new abilities for it. The bronto definitely needs a TLC too. It should have a stomp ability that does increasing damage depending on the size of the other creature (smaller = more damage). And even though the drake doesn't really NEED a TLC, a pounce attack, reduced gliding noise, and breeding would be cool.
I wanna take drakes off ab and be able to defend against manas on ab so they need to beef up the drakes cuz at the end of the day their one of the hardest tames to get and should be on parr with wyverns and manas which are much easier to tame
Bronto changes. Basically merge it's attacks and the Titanosaur. Leftclick is a tailwhip, rightclick is a stomp in the direction you are looking, if looking backwards the hindlegs stomp the ground like a titano. Give the Bronto the same perk as the Acrocanthosaurus from ARK additions, dealing higher damage to creatures of lower dragweight. This combined with it's AoE will cement it as a destroyer of small animal armies, but also give it a small damage buff vs rexes and the like. Increased weight capacity and reduced weight of processed resources, including ammo for guns and turrets. Tek saddle, adds small Platform areas around the bronto for placing turrets or small structures, along side 4 man operated tek turrets above the Bronto's hips and shoulders. In the middle of the back sits a cannon that is controlled by the driver and operates differently depending on the ammo. Changing it's shape to the mode. Rocket pod- lauches a series of rockets that strike an area inaccuractly with a barrage, arcing through the air. Cannon shifts into a multitubed missle pod Cannon Shell- Large howitzer/mortar like shot that arcs and damages a large area. relatively accurate. Cannon shifts into a howitzer Element- Cannon charges for a few seconds then unleashes a beam of plasma with limited range. Heavy single target damage but can overheat if fired to long. Cannon shifts into something that resembles a flamethrower.
This is why I'd love that mods would come to console.. there are so many good ones out there and when I switched to PS it was kind of a bummer because I was so used to playing with a certain list of mods that the game felt alien to me. The Bronto and Diplo suggestions were great.. and I would certainly use them a lot more than just being meat for my other dinos.
Imo, the scorpion should get a TLC where is has 2 separate buttons for attacks with the claws and stinger. And perhaps it can hold small creatures in place and then you can stab it
Yes, diplo in real life werr the animal to have the longest tail and they were as and even more large than a blue whale, they could break the sound with a tail whipe
Ayyyye! The diplo and mosa made it in! Awesome Vid Raasclark! Wildcard already integrated S+ with the Homestead update. Perhaps it's time for a Primal update and they integrate Krakens and ARK Additions mods too
I'm confused as how the hell the the carnotaurus wasn't on the list. They used to be the midweight between raptor and rex, but with so many dinos added there's no reason to get them anymore.
Wow I really want the quetzal to have a tek saddle now! (and a new model) I totally agree with the Bronto's position though. Some of those Jurassic World Evolution clips (or whatever it was) were hilarious.
imagine if wildcard adds sleep for dinos and when it sleep for x time it gets like a buff for x time like movement speed buff and damage buff? 🤔 edit: movement speed and stamina buff? make sense
im surprised this channel has not gotten super big i remember watching the video for the tek drone glitch were you could launch big animals when it came out
I will have to say there is a good reason no one tames brontos anymore, that being alot of pve servers dont allow them since they lag servers when gathering
The fact that people aren't even mentioning the Archeopteryx speaks for itself (the dino that acts as a parachute when you hold its feet) Since it's a shoulder mount, and you're holding its feet the entire time you can't use weapons and it's now overpowered by the new Sinomacrops that acts like a parachute, glider, and can make you fly! The addition of that dino completely put the Archeopteryx in the dark. I think a nifty ability would be you could send the Archeopteryx out to farm materials, scout players, steal stuff, make it so they cling to your back rather than you holding them, or you could even equip them with maybe a tek addition that acts as a portable camera or something, I'm not great at ability suggestions but my point is, it needs a TLC as nobody tames them, and a lot of people honestly forget they exist.
What if the Araneo had the ability to produce and cross ziplines and shoot webs like if it was a grappling hook (sure the Bloodstalker is like an ODM gear, but I was thinking more of the classic "hang from the ceiling" technique). The Pulmonoscorpius could use some love too, maybe it could use it's claws to shield attacks and grapple targets, and I know scorpions irl can burrow, so maybe it could burrow itself Purlovia style and become a narcotic bear trap. And a pack bonus for the Dilo (a cosmetic upgrade wouldn't hurt).
In my opinion, terror birds should be more or less the same size as a gallimimus, i would add apart to its beak attack a slash attack with the claws of their feet, also Terror birds should be stronger, deal more damage and be faster, so this way they are truly "terrifying"
I agree, lots of ark's creatures need a tlc but they are so useless that you often forget them, like pelagornis, a slower ptera that can land on water, it would be cool to see a sort of dive for it (as itchyornis can do) To swim for a short while and insta kill coelacanths and salmon , (maybe not piranhas because it would make it the lord and savor of the island's south zone XD) and eventually other stuff to make it better for fishing (as I think it's meant to be).
@@paolomeschiari3551 I don't think the Pelagornis needs it tbh. They do a lot of damage against fish already, the ability to land on water makes it great for safe scouting if you're afraid (like for beginners) and they harvest a lot of poly from penguins. Maybe they could be eaually as efficient as harvesting other creatures for poly (those that have it ofc) but that's all it would deserve tbh
I think it would be cool for some of the Dinos to have path following or a migration ability that lets you set a course or series of locations you can direct animals to. Make them into living trains that can stop at checkpoints to move supplies or something like that so you don’t have to drag them across the map on one flier.
I thought that araneo or mosa was more important than bronto by a ton but frankly im just confused as to why wyvern almost made the top 10? Cause lightning is everyones favorite varient.
I agree, because the bronto is a good farming dino and the quetz is a good counter for stego-soaking, but araneo, ovis and the snakes are completely useless
I don't think Mosa should be this high up, I still think it has places to shine beside the Tuso. I've always been fine with the Mosa and its damage output...
I’m surprised not to see the carno on here, it’s model is the most outdated, it has a goofy running animation and for some reason it has the loudest footsteps out of any creature
To the saber they should also buff the stats people would say that it would be a lot stronger thab the direwolf but the direwolf has a pack bonus and it could have (the saber) something like the argie but a littke different, when it eat corpses or kills a creature it goes like to an adrenaline mode and does more damage and a little bit of damage reduction that last 40seconds the model is good but they could improve it a little bit but i dont mind if they dont
Would be nice if they were almost even to direwolves. Like a cat or dog version of a strong pack animal. But being they are weaker, the eating corpses and healing part would be nice, since I see packs of them get destroyed by most other things often.
The gigantopithecus should be able to wield a weapon and more armor pieces. It has a similar body shape to humans, so it should be able to have more armor pieces, and it has human-like hands so it should be able to wields weapons.
I haven't played the game in a while, but I love Terror Birds so much because of that flap hover! But maybe a good TLC would be that they could serve as a egg warmer? Utility-wise it would really help early players who dont want to waste resources on torches etc..
Fair but I also feel like they want to be more for roaming and harassment, maybe a good jump/charge jump for better access to their flaps, better speed while flapping, and maybe even a flap exclusive flurry of kicks to stun and dismount players, like a rideable micro.
