@yesimraging nah they're just saying daedons. When you find them in the wild they activate their healing which chews through their food bar. Makes it so when they KO you can instant tame them.
Some other tips : -if you give your dino the digest effect, it will be immune to bleed regardless of the dino - U can fly faster with a rock drake if after having dived against the ground, at the moment of contact you jump again which gives you great speed for a short time - u can tame every creature with a passive taming method through any structure without it reacting - u can trap small creatures in a wooden cage, that make some taming easier. - u can insta ""tame"" a carcha by giving him a big baby creature like a baby rex, Spino etc -u Can jump super fast and far with a tek gauntlet if u take ur map in the end before the end of the animation - u can reload your pump action shotgun faster on 3rd person - u can decryo ur dino in some spot in the tek cave - the stego can grab and kill easily the forest titan - megachelon can stuck the forest and ice titan that make same easy to tame
-U can do every cave with a dinopithecus easily because cave creatures don't attack it -deinonychus Can bleed every single creature ( bosses too) -sheeps give more ressources if they have a much HP -tuso are easy to tame on crystal Isle because they can spawn bugged on some beaches -jerboa can predict aberration earthquakes -u Can recharge a full tek suit in the element rivers on aberration -u can do easily the master controller with a basilisk
@@p3wp3wCthulhu you can I believe it's just before you teleport inwards I learned about it from another tribe after we did it the normal way on gama lol
@@angelicdragon9823 have you actually tried it... lately? I tried every nook and cranny and watched about 3 vids of where it's possible last year around this time. It didnt work. I ended up doing Gamma with a Yuty and one Rex with 18 cryopods in my inventory. Maybe it worked once upon a time? After all 'Fixed an exploit' is Ceds favourite sentence
Its so crazy to think that some of these, like the dismount one ive known since i pretty much started the game, but the argy one i actually learned during the polls for this video, amazing how we can still learn after this much time spent in this game
Whenever you fall off from high places on a tame, dismounting the tame before it hits the ground will avoids fall damage on it and I think that should have at least been on special mentions
@@M.O.M.Ibut it's still a life hack. Of course an experienced player would already know this trick but for the one's that are new to the game, I think it's worth mentioning. It's cool it didn't make the cut on the video but at least it's being mentioned in some way lol
My personal favorite hack is that you can easily hypnotize any elemental or golem with a flying tame. Just hover above their head juuuuust out of reach of their arms and they will stand there staring at your tame completely hypnotized. Jump off and take all the time in the world to set up your desired taming tool (Canon or Mech)
Couple things not mentioned id like to point out: Split all on stacks of meat to get spoiled quicker. If you want to split something inside a structure you can use ctrl+t to split in half or leftshift+t to split it individually. Feed a phioma stim berries to get alot of poop for fert. Right shift holds your sprint in place on dinos and tek flight (i just found this out today idk if it works for all but def maewings and tek suits). If you cant transfer all of the resource you want because of weight popcorn(meaning you drop it from the structure as a little box) everything and pick up all or use a whip for distance. If you want to heal a dino quick give it cryo sickness and use a tek phase pistol its stupid fast. Easy way to trap dinos is to use a net and place billboards over it so it cant move while you tranq or mantis it. If youre in pvp and want to make a enemy tame immobile grapple it, it transfers the weight you have onto it. You can cryo a tamed purlovia while its buried, if you set it to aggressive when you throw it out it will almost instant stun enemy surviviors (im not kidding its actually crazy what they can do). If you have 2 snow owls give one the freeze cooldown for an instant jump onto the other one, heal and dismount at the same time, if done correctly it will ignore its stamina and will heal for 2 minutes straight even while your dismounted (careful not to be to close when performed or you will be frozen for the duration ;) Also if you get the weird glitch where your reaper baby gets buried you can use a maewing to pull him out! Hope some of these help someone :)
An interesting, highly niche life hack I’ve found is that carrying “drag corpse tames” like otters and hesperornis in the mouth of an argentavis makes it infinitely easier to feed them. Having them raised up off the floor like that means the fish corpse hitbox doesn’t get in the way of the “hit e to feed fish” hitbox
Spoil Timer: craft/harvest/upload item for fresh spoil timer. split stack with fresh spoil timer until it fits for the old items. drag the old spoil timer items onto the new one. i will always leave one fresh dart in the fridge. when i put the other old ones into it again the spoil timer resets
You should make a top 10 list of new creature's that should be in Ark 2 like take some of the creature's from the ASA creature vote's that didn't make the cut and put them in poll's so people can vote for the one's that deserve their place in Ark 2
I have a cool handy hack: if you tame yuti and scare something, it reseives more damage. And if you deal more damage with tranq darts you deal more torpor. So the scared victim gets knocked out much faster and less expensive
No. 1 can also be used for Daedons. although not harvesting. but damage the Daedon, before tranqing . and it goes into heal mode. which drains its food. great video. keep them going.
I usually ride my Fenrir into the fight to protect the other players. When you have the freeze spiky mode on, you're immune to Fenrirsulfr's special freezing attacks. So I ride in close to keep the aggro off the other survivors.
Hey man, I really appreciate you always coming out with new ideas for a Videos and just keeping this game feeling new and alive all the time. Keep up the great work!!
Love the argy trick as it's usually my first or second tame on a playthrough. Amusing thing tho was I'd generally use MY body as the food to trigger the heal before k0
Raas would you consider making a video on all the obscure and useful glitches/ features in ark like the grapple glitch or owl diving a death wall. I’m convinced farming with dinos gets you more resources but farming with a tek stryder is easier. That would be good to know for sure. Overall more of a farming, pvp and building showcase of all the different tactics and techniques that are out there rather than a top ten. P.s turret / defence guide would be cool or teaming up with some pvp people for mega tribe wars would be cool and a good way to show of just how powerful tek stryders actually are in pvp if you get a high lvl one. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Okay these were some really cool suggestions. I didn't know that knocking out an argie while it healed from eating a corpse lowered its food dramatically. Thanks for making this video. I learned a few more neat tricks.
10. Supplemental Tip for Fenrir: On PvE (or servers that allow it) you can "clone" creatures using the "Admin Soul Recovery" in the Dino Storage Mod. Torch on saddle is a VERY good reason to keep those otherwise "useless" ascendant and mastercraft torches you're sometimes rewarded with. 2. Dismount direction is something I only learned about from Pterafier a couple months ago.
I discovered this by mistake when I fell off a cliff when it was only the island I panicked and jumped just as it was going to hit the ground, realized the Rex and I were fine I thought it was a glitch buty tribe mates very "matter of fact" told me no it's a feature... Brah u could have told me
i had no idea about the dismount, and heres me spending time walking the tame around hoping it would land me next to chosen "bench" to unload while im over encumbered lol
Great video Rass, though I'm late to the party. For aligning with structures, use a ladder facing the desired direction, look towards the floor then activate the orbit camera. This life hack is no longer required for ASA as it is built in with the building mechanic.
The Best tip that no one seems to know, you can trap almost all mid/large size dinos in the game by using 4 metal billboards and putting the wild dino inside them, with a giga just put a large bear trap down inside 3 then put the 4th down when its on the bear trap to trap it and take 0 dmg.
I've wanted a fridge mount for years (even tried submitting my own for creature votes) so annoyed that the one we get is as late of a game creature as can be
I don't know if anyone else knows this, but take a Direwolf and spam the jump button. everytime you do a successful jump without touching the ground for too long the wolf's jump speeds up and goes further every time
This happens with quite a few tames actually, horses, Galli's, Baryonyx just to name a few, typically if it can jump and doesnt have a special animation it can do while jumping, such as gliding or some such you can bunny hop with it
I'm actually shocked that I didn't know the Argentavis one. I've been playing this game for 7+ years and I'm still learning new things. That's pretty sweet. Fingers crossed that it's still an oversight in ASA lol.
Wait wut !! torches on saddles ? , I've put over 16k hours in to Ark and apparently never knew this lmao , wel they say its never to late to learn Another on the dismount side of things that everyone will now take for granted and new players wont know , is simply dismounting from a dino to avoid fall damage
for the dismount trick its amazing however if you yourself is overcumbered this trick will NOT work you willbe forced to go a direction usually the left side is the side that forces you to go did not know about the torch on the saddle though
It's crazy how many little things this game has, I've played since day one and didn't even know or hear about the argy taming trick. Would've saved me a lot of time early game for sure.
An odd ark life hack (in my opinion) that i find useful, especially early on, is "the best fuel for a standing torch are handheld torches, especially higher quality ones" -addendum....if you use sparkler skin on handheld torch, the standing torch will sparkle while burning that torch
Good list. Wouldve liked to see that the life hack of leaving render distance to respawn artifacts or creatures wouldve at least made an honorable mention. But still a good list.
I just learned this today. When getting fish in baskets for taming Shadowmanes. You can refresh the spoil timer by having it in your hotbar and jumping in water. Never knew this ahha
I found out recently after playing for years on ps4 you can put raw meat in hot bar and spam square button to help it spoil faster, i used to have a nightmare doing it in my inventory haha
Missed the voting and suggesting for this video. Was surprised to see no mention of unclaiming a food filled Maewing with nursing on to look after your babies when they are born but not yet claimed. This is obviously best done in an enclosed breeding pen where only you or tribe members have access to them.
Hier ook nog een leuke tip. Als je honing wil bewaren dan moet je gewoon wat vishengels maken. Klik de potjes honing op de vishengels en bewaar het in de kast. Dan bederft de honing niet.
Could we get “Top ten creatures most in need of a TLC?” Since the last one was over 2 years ago and several things have changed? (Or should I say Evolved?)
The argy taming is also possible with deadons beat their health low and wait for them to activate the AOE heal and tranq their food plummets and you insta tame them
People really didn't know these? Well damn. I'm surprised nobody mentioned the most utilized, oldest and useful hack which is dismounting before taking fall damage with your mount. You can use the food strat with tropeos and daeodons too btw.
Some cool ones I feel odd that people don't seam to know the hold direction to dismount cause it's the first thing I remind my tribe and randoms I meet, the milk one is very cool to know I was always afraid of wild Gigas not anymore and the gas mask one will help a lot searching for mosas, is the fen a permanent tame or temp like the titanasour? Also if you are using your Tek/fed suit to dash around the map taping the boost button (Ctrl on PC) instead of holding allows you to use orbital camera
Fun fact you dont even need to the button to dismount in your chosen direction you can just look in the direction you want. Not sure if it works 100% of the time but i do when getting easy drops in the valg cave
Unclaimed Maewings will feed unclaimed babies. Sinos for me are the best shoulder pets, you can ascend, glide and parachute, they have x2 weight reduction, on top of the existing x2 for shoulder pets. You can also bind their scream on a button, press the emote key 2 on "clap" from the wheel menu. Search around for a chest & sign trap for them, I believe it still works. The easiest you can tame the second best shoulder pet - Otters, is grabbing them in the Argie beak (doesn't work in PvE official sadly), and bring them to the biggest size Salmons you find. You could easily spot Otters from the sky, with the help of the Owls/Tek helmet infrared vision. If there's no Otters around, you can quickly clear all the fish around, with a Bary.
I don't know if this is on ark pc too just like ark mobile But if you are on single player and you trap an argy for example go to sleep before knocking it out and when you knock it out you will find it's food bar almost fully drained and you could just give it food and it will instantly eat until it's fully tamed As I said I dont know if this works for Ark pc too or not Also i love your videos sooooo much Raasclark ❤❤❤
Useful I guess especially for PvE. Wish Ark had an actual tutorial to teach the dino dismount mechanic, it could have been useful many times in the past. An edited ini file will lower graphics quality but in a PvP server, being able to spot enemies and other useful objects far outweighs making your perspective look good, unless you just want to look good dying. Yes yes, using an edited ini is "cheating". To that I say, don't hate the player, hate the game. It was made possible by the devs. Also, setting your render distance shorter means you can spot bases and dinos much easier while terrain objects are not rendered. Hidden bases are not so hidden then and that is part of the game by design too.
I have one to add. . . dismounting before hitting the ground from a high up place to reset fall damage. "y'know, in case you don't have a parachute handy"
You used to be able to negate all fall damage by opening up you inventory whilst falling. You could also use this to double & triple jump across large gaps.
I like painting my sparkler skin white to have a much better torch. You can also paint it black to have a very dim light thats easier to conceal in PVP
there is a trick almost noone uses. if feeding a herbivore meat it will make hunger bar drop way faster and wont affect the tame progress since taming first starts when using the right food. this way you can speed a taming up alot. can also use spoiled meat but it will lower the narcotics lvl fast. same if feeding carnivores berries or veggies. just dont use the stim berries since they also work as antidote and will drop the narcotic lvl super fast. do these things to drop their food lvl to almost minimum BEFORE using tame food and you save a ton of time without affecting tame bonus.
Top 10 most epic challenges on Ark. ________(Though I was thinking about stealing a Rock Drake egg on Ab with nothing but a haz, glider and grappling hook! Lol)
Another hack with the torch is equipping it on the mannequin with the armor. Will cause the mannequin to hold the torch providing light but does not drain durability on the torch so fuel free unlimited torch
For console players, when you are in a forge, Tek rep, Tek gen, or Chem bench menu, you can press the right thumb stick to turn it on or off without having to exit back out. People probably know this, but I didn’t for a long time
I use the X button to enter its inventory, and the right stick to activate. Been doing this since like 2016. It's most certainly handy. You can do this with anything that can be activated, camp fires, generators, fabricators, standing touches, forges, refinery, ect...
Any ko tame nock it and let it wake. Will start it's healing upon waking will use food on all ko tames. Some tames have low base HP in comparison to topor.
today i defeated the Fenrir at beta difficulty, dragon was kinda harder than Fenrir. i didn't know about the single player settings, when i turned it off my tamed dino stats were decreased by half or maybe more. next time I'll defeat Fenrir alpha with sp settings off.
Some other tips: -You can soak ratholes and caves turrets with just throwing cryopods. Just be sure the dino cant fit in the entrance, and the turrets will waste bullets every time you throw the cryopod. -You can make bridges to raid bases without cleaning the spam, just use crop plots. -You can protect yourself from turrets by using big dinos death bodies. Just grab them and make sure your character is cover by the body when you move it. -You can protect yourself from ground turrest just by using campfires, if you duck behind you will be out of sight and turrent wont shot you. You can use them to raid a base if only have ground turrets. -You can soak tek turrets just using the ground, rocks, trees or dead bodies, just find the right angle and the turret will try to shoot you but hit the blocking thing and waste ammo. -You can carry unlimited weight with any flying dino, just ask your friend to pick you up and punch the dino and it will fly. Once you are high enought just parachute. -You can do any ground boss with just carnos and a Yuty. If you mount the Yuty the bosses will focus you and wont attack the carnos, but with enough carnos the boss will be stuck and they will eat him. -You can use cables, pipes or ladders to protect your turrets. Your turrets will shoot through those things, but those things will protect your turrets from rockets and tek saddles.
Yes this still works on PC. You right click the press E to dismount very quickly. Almost at the same time. It takes a little practice and you have to run away or fly with a sino to be out of range or you will be frozen the extent of the owls stamana. You can solo auto heal.
Ya I knew about the tree level up trick, and I've only played for like a week, I got a Spink and cleared an island of all trees and my Spink is lvl 91 since I tamed it at lvl 10
